I love that fact that, despite all the abuse, beratement, and disrespect before, Moe is the one that the Judge will absolutely not tolerate the shenanigans of.

25:14 The physics on this are so questionable that the game had to open the image in Adobe and drag the cloak onto the bust. _And_ in a way that just so happened to perfectly match how Max would actually wear it. It's insane how Acro managed to create a fake suspect without even meaning to. He didn't plan on using the bust as a weapon until the last second. He didn't expect the target to take Max's hat and cloak. And he made this plan hoping that any and all possible witnesses to the murder would already be asleep within 15 minutes of practice ending. What a miserable case....

And even knowing his true target, would he have planned to turn himself in he didn't accidentally create such a convenient scapegoat?
Gotta love how the stars cosmically aligned for Acro to not only get another person charged for the murder, but ALSO happen to get an eye witness for said crime.
And he just shrugs and is like, "Just another day in the circus."

Acro's name in the French version of the game is Oleg Loche.
"Loche" is likely a play on "cloche", meaning "bell" in French. This may be a reference to the English surname "Dingling".
Or even a reference to the inspiration for their localized names, the Ringling Brothers!

@@phuongbach3864 It’s because his English surname is coincidentally an onomatopoeia of the sound a bell makes "ding-a-ling"/"ding-ling"/"ding-ding" even though it's a reference to the Ringling Bros Circus and the word dangling.

The whole thing with the cloak annoys me. I was thinking that this manner of murdering was really clever since to an onlooker (Moe) it would entirely appear that Max was the killer and then used his "magic powers" to fly away, but in order to convince anyone it would need the cloak to be there. The fact that the cloak got on it like that means that it was really just a coincidence and it wasn't cleverly pinned on Max at all!
(I wrote this out before Phoenix finished the explanation, but it looks like SungWon and Angel felt the same)
Acro is one of those rare culprits that doesn't go absolutely crazy when Phoenix accuses them of murder. Of course, one of the highlights of Ace Attorney is seeing the culprits break down, but Acro's stoicism is kind of refreshing. In fact, the only other culprit I can think of that doesn't have a huge freak out is Dee Vasquez.
Angel is killing it tbh, this case is pretty convoluted with what you should press and present and they're doing so good
There are only two times in all of ace attorney that my suspension of disbelief regarding the murder was broken, and this is one of those times. The cloak perfectly landing on the bust (was it not attached in the front??) is so ridiculous, I know Takumi wrote this case drunk but why did nobody stop him

Damn, Angel really killed this one. This is the first case where i had to use a walkthrough. I was not picking up what the game was putting down.

Franziska keeps insulting Phoenix for being stupid or not thinking, despite objectively being the only person to have thought about the case. She's trying to convict a man with no means or motive to commit the crime purely based on no evidence, only testimony that he flew away from the crime scene, while Phoenix is actually presenting logical conclusions drawn from the evidence.
I want to take her seriously as a character, but it's hard when she's supposed to be a genius but just acts like a screaming buffoon.
Honestly, the cloak snagging on the bust never bothered me. The illustration wasn't great, but brushing the cards past the cloak if the Ringmaster wore it high up could totally make it snag.
What confused me notably more is how they didn't check the box for fingerprints and, as SungWon pointed out, how he didn't account for Moe's witness testimony at all.

It seems for as cool and collected Acro is, he didn't plan this murder well. There was too many elements that relied on circumstances, like the murder weapon, witnesses and on the victim falling for it. He would've being lucky had it not being for Phoenix and his wacky logic.
So proud of you, Angel! Listen to those instincts!

The physics and logic of the cloak transfer still make me so angry all these years later. Yes this is a series with fantasy elements and it's anime and exaggerated, but like. There's just no way. Even if it did get snagged, there's no way it would snag so perfectly as to look like the bust is wearing it. And I mean. I get that they want to keep this game fairly PG/PG-13 and all that but uh............. thinking about the reality of what would happen with the bust hitting the ringmaster is............. mmmmm pretty gnarly. So, uh. No. I don't believe that would happen at all. Even if we look at it through a sanitized view.
(Also this whole case is mildly insane because dang, that bronze bust *has* to be in the ballpark of 100+ pounds, if not more, right?? I'm pretty sure they mention that it's life sized, plus it has his hat, and his arms, plus what is presumably a marble base, given how fancy it is. Like, even if the bronze layer is only 1/8" thick---assuming lost wax casting method here--the mass alone of this thing is going to do bad things to the ringmaster's head from a fall of that height.)
The joy of being European and not knowing how much 20lb is supposed to be even slightly.
I suppose the actual weight of it isn’t the point though.
