Clearly they leave a lot to be desired! But 11 in a season? As mentioned at the end, kids purse strings - kids will be going mad for each one. And I never thought about the environment either. And yes, I'm also a fan of the rotation idea. Home 1, away 2, home 3, away 4.

@@mattsmith6268 We don’t have any Errea lined up this season, but we did check out the Parma Buffon shirt last year, and may check some more Errea products out in future!
Went to see Napoli play in January and really liked the look of the home jersey. It’s only when you actually see it in person and see the poor quality you realise it’s just simply not worth the money. Glad you two agree!

Top video! An interesting titbit about Napoli shirts - each year they also release a really really budget friendly replica shirt, (approximately 40 euros), for those who want an official shirt but don't want to pay top whack. The reason they sell these so cheaply is to try and push out the fake football shirt market which is rife around the stadium, and allows fans to buy official merchandise for a similar price to what they'd spend on a counterfeit. I believe when Kappa were the manufacturers there was an authentic (approx £100), a replica (approx £60) and a budget replica (approx £35).
if you look at the size tag on the inside at the neckline, its the same as kappa's. There was an article on footyheadlines a season ago saying that kappa was still producing the shirt just with EA7 on it.
It did definitely seem that way last season, but the quality of these shirts are a big downgrade from the kappa ones. It would be interesting to know the details of the deal
Armani doesn't make the shirt... Napoli paid Armani to put the EA7 sponsor on it... Napoli produces the shirts themselves...just for context.

After frustration at the official webstore (I tried to buy the 45 Euros replica version but they don't bother offering customisation options), I bought a cheap one from you-know-which website. Very ironically, they have none of the QC problems mentioned in the video. And they are smart enough to use a light blue garment for the body and sublimation for the sleeves, exactly what you guys suggested. They only printed dots on the sponsor but like said in the video that doesn't make much difference anyway. The logos are nicely pressed all over the shirt and their Namesets look way more durable than the official ones also. The size tag is slightly annoyingly sticky but I guess the authentic ones have the same issue. It's more than 10 times cheaper than the so-called authentic ones FFS.
EA7 has also entered the tennis market, and have not done it too badly. The current clay season collection looks very elegant from afar
Great work, guys! EA7 doing eleven kits in a season for Napoli reminds me of American minor-league baseball teams doing one-off uniform designs as an attraction to drum up ticket and merch sales. Not a practice befitting a team playing in one of the top leagues in the world and aiming for the sport's most prestigious trophies.

Hahaha I feel quite validated every time I watch a vid and you guys are clearly not into a lot of the choices/designs/styles I also don’t enjoy/think are awful.

We wouldn’t send out any shirts with a loose thread even at a £40 price point. It happens way too frequently with some brands just to be an overlook in QC
As rob said most are made out here in s.e.a . We've got a shop here in Vietnam that get's them from around the area Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam etc. The guy buys the defects and altho some are glaringly obvious they change from individual shirt to shirt. Usually works out about 6 quid a shirt after the buyers put his mark up on them and can get them months in advance. Not sure on the actual process as my Vietnamese is limited, but the variety of shirts he gets in is really quite something for a country that is relatively new to consumerism.
The lack of quality from EA7 there as Craig pointed out is shocking. For the name of the manufacturer and the price for what the layman would deem a premium piece is egregious. Another good take tho guys, thanks
We’ve since found out that the EA7 is only a sponsorship deal, and the kits are made in house by Napoli! Explains the quality issues Vs what you’d expect from a premium brand. That being said, the new one is much better!
Think you nailed it when you say it's effectively not an Armani product. The "seasonal" shirts are absolutely shocking from a design point of view. Just look like someone's taken the first clipart images they can find and stuck them on the shirt! Really doesn't look like something that's been designed by a global fashion brand 😵💫

I like 2 shirts per season, but 4 per seasons is too much and now 11! (33 now). Here in México have mostly 2 per year, but 1 shirt who last only 6 months. Local brands sometimes release shirts for Women’s day, Dia de Muertos, breast cancer month and some times army day.

I do wonder about the numbers because the home shirts are still available on the official website. If they really didn't make a lot (compared to the big clubs), that means not many people are buying them considering they are surely gonna win the league this week... Also re Craig's comment about China, I haven't bought a shirt made in China in a long time... most of my shirts are from Vietnam and maybe Thailand. Of course China still has a lot of factories and they probably make a majority of knockoff kits sold in China and around the world.

You don’t have to go far to see the extreme. Just look at any kit from Liga MX. The sponsors logos on the socks always get me.
Aurelio de Laurentiis, Napoli owner, decided to quit Kappa for EA7 in order to have much more control over the output and a bigger percentage on the earnings, ovbiously. Therefore this is not the usual tech sponsor - club relationship which is the norm elsewhere. It is more of an equal terms partnership. And the incredible number of special editions is surely down to De Laurentiis, who had already tried this strategy with Kappa, albeit not as exasperated.

I’m going to judge from the Emporio Armani angle. I find it difficult to walk out of an Emporio Armani shop, without purchasing something. Boots, shoes, jackets, shirts, watches…you name it. Often, the items are a dark navy or black, but have the most beautiful silhouettes and forms that make them stand out to me. However, there is a range of EA products that’s being pumped out in stores, with just the logo on tshirts and trackies, and it looks cheap and trashy.
Now, I’ve only seen this shirt online, but the design definitely doesn’t have any traits of Emporio Armani products I know and love.
I think they need new designers in the sportwear department. Even if they did something akin to what Norwich have this season, it would be more Emporio Armani-esque.

It is indeed! Strange though, as the kappa kits in recent years have been much better quality than the EA7 effort!
