I love how Mumbo’s technical brain comes out in his comedy. When Joel mentions “…weird, it’s like seeing two black cats…”, and Mumbo follows up with the “well it depends on how many black cats you own”, I laugh so hard. His brain instantly goes to alternate possibilities instead of going along with the common association Joel was going for.

This series is just full of brilliant comedic timing; Like when Grian started making puns to Mumbo, or when Mumbo walks up to Scar and Scar talks about how he lost more hearts, or when Grian LAYS DOWN THE LAW!!

Watching a few episodes from other perspectives it's still so surprising that Mumbo's task was NOT to harm the camel as much as possible
I think that's the point. Now that there are yellow names, it's a good idea to carry out a false task on the side.

@@CamoSquid It was to keep scar off the camel, but it also helped him in a way because it was in a sense, a false task.
The only way this could have gone better would have been if *everyone* had gotten the same task to keep Scar from taking damage.

Mumbo currently has the BEST entrance into BigB's base.
He walked from Scar's base, through caves, into the bigBbackrooms, and immediately was so confused he forgot where he came from.
The fact that Lizzy keeps thinking Mumbo is intentional trying to hurt the camel all episode is the best part lol

In her defense he actually was trying to kill it. It just happened that several of the times she saw it take damage were, according to Mumbo, accidental. Camels are hard.
Honestly, I saw Grian's video first, and that's exactly what I thought Mumbo's task was.

Failing the reroll has a penalty
He'd lose 10 hearts if he failed the harder task, so tactically it's better to just not complete the task he already has (which unfortunately was doomed to begin with!!!)

Mumbo definitely could've rerolled if he hadn't told people what his task was and phrased the question better. It didn't explicitly say it was failed if Scar took more than 3 hearts of damage, so it became not completable rather than failed.

14:39 - Any time Bdubs screams "WHAT" into his microphone it makes my little heart happy. And the fact that everyone universally agrees that they have to cut it off right in the middle is just icing on the cake.
The hard cut to grian falling in the van might just be the funniest thing this series has ever produced
Task idea: Get at least one player to help you build a memorial to a pet you never had. Act as distraught as possible in front of green names but completely normal in front of yellows.
Scar IMMEDIATELY putting himself in constant danger is so funny
Want to know what's funny? The names used in the tasks are usually random, unless it's something specific about the player.

@@darkdragoness5 I think in this case Scar wasn't chosen randomly because it didn't use Scar's actual Minecraft username. For example, in Grian's task it said "SmallishBeans" and not "Joel". So I think if Scar truly was chosen randomly, it would've said "GoodTimeWithScar" instead of just "Scar".

I actually am surprised at how different uncorrelated events sync for comedic effect. Grian explaining the rules with the end portal effect, Mumbo finding Scar for the first time with him commenting on losing hearts, and more…
I love that mumbo's immediate reaction to the task before i could even finish reading it was just: "Impossible, Impossible, LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE!"

For someone claiming he doesnt do well in social situations, mumbo sure is 1 of the most entertaining people on the server this season. Absolutly top notch comedy every episode
This is hands down the most hilarious video of the series that I have seen, the perfectly timed Scar losing hearts as soon as Mumbo is within earshot and Grian saying that he can't re-roll as a dramatic sound effect plays was amazing and had me cackling.

If I was Mumbo, I would have immediately ran to get a re-roll. There isn't a tougher task than keeping Scar safe.

Task idea: Turn someone’s house into an aquarium. Fill their house with water, then add at least 3 fish. If you get caught, you must try again with a different person’s house

Hey, Mumbo, you accidentally discovered an incredibly powerful option for keeping your task secret. With Yellow Names gaining the guessing ability, you're in danger of failing your task instantly if they guess right. During this session you accidentally did something brilliant, by trying to kill Scar's camel you made it hard for people to guess what your real task was. Essentially what happened is you created a decoy task that tricked the Yellow Names.
If you want to recover your hearts come up with an obvious decoy task to complete alongside your real task to keep the yellows guessing.

Etho seems to be the king of decoy tasks at the moment. From "everyone sleep" in session 1 to splashing everyone with a bucket this week.
I love how mumbo's task slowly diverged from not making scar lose 3 hearts to trying to kill the camel discretely to killing the camel slowly accidentally
Task idea: Go around the server getting people to say the colors of the rainbow in order - first get someone to say red, then get someone to say orange etc.

It's the combination of two incredibly wholesome Minecrafters and I wish they duo'ed more often.

I know this was most of the comments on the mounders first episode, but I can't stress enough how much I'm loving the completely random alliance of Mumbo, Bdubs, Pearl and Joel. It's not very often that any of them are very close on SMPs and it's interesting to see them all work together. I really hope one of the mounders wins this season!

Task idea - Call secret life one of the other seasons (ex: Last Life, Double Life) 3 times without anyone noticing, if your caught that one doesn’t count

ok that task should have been a reroll one, that was difficult since its for the whole session, but that comedic timing of scar saying "I took another chunk of hearts" as mumbo get near him was funny
Yea, this should have been a hard task since it was the whole session and you couldn't tell the person you are protecting. They should have either made it more than 3 hearts or until the person completes their task. Or that Mumbo was able to tell Scar his task similar to what Grian was able to do.
@@natperXD yes, you should be able to tell to scar what your task is but not tell to others, even scar can't tell it, like a share secret because scar have no idea he will fail someone if he just take 3 hearts of damage

The fact that the first thing Scar said to Mumbo was: „And I took another chunk of hearts“ is the funniest thing to me. I literally saw Mumbos face panicking before my inner eye.
And then the lifeless „okay“ after Scar told him he „only“ lost one and a half… I‘m dying
After watching other videos before this one, it's CRAZY to me that his task was not to kill the camel.

I want to wish Session 5 gets Mumbo and Grian both having to make a very risky stunt, and they end up trying to one up each other even though the task only stated making a risky stunt and not the riskiest one
If I had a nickel for each time this coincidence happened, I’d have 2 nickels, Which isn’t a lot, but weird it happened twice

This series is one of the best so far... The secrets ALWAYS lead to the most hilariously chaotic situations, like Mumbo riding a camel for basically the whole video just to prevent Scar from riding it! XD

Task Ideas : 1. You have to get everyone on the server to say their name, without you telling them to say their name. 2. You must steal something valuable from 6 players' houses, while their in their house, without getting caught. 3. Chose a player and constanly tell them horrible puns/jokes for 30 mins of the session straight without them questioning you. ❤
