  • Brother SE600 How to convert from Embroidering to Sewing. One of the reasons I love this machine is because It not only embroiders but it's also a sewing machine. It's sewing capabilities are actually very impressive and silky smooth. Watch how I convert it from an embroidering machine to a sewing machine in minutes.

    You've probably figured it out by now but the little black button on the side of the J presser foot is a "presser foot locking pin." It can be used to keep the presser foot level when there are humps to sew over, like a thick seam to cross over.
    I thoroughly enjoy your videos.

    I have been trying to do custom sewing stitches, without much luck. I know the machine can do things like combine the provided stitches. I also know it can import custom stitches from the USB. But, except for PE Design software or the My Custom Stitch on other Brother machines, I cannot find any programs to design my own. I also cannot find anyone who makes or sells custom stitches to import into the machine.
    Have you tried that part of the PE Design software?

    I know this is a 3 year old video, but when reinforcing your stitch at the beginning and end, it is best to use a technique called “back stitching.” I tried the way this video shows, and all my stitches seemed to keep falling out. You need to hold the button with the arrow down as you press the foot pedal. You go forward regularly, then press and hold button while also pushing pedal to go backwards, then go over it again going forwards.

      No problem. It’s telling you what to do. You have the foot controller attached so the start stop button will not work. Disconnect the foot controller. 😁

      @@adubbproductions thank you for your response 🙏🏾. Is there a mode I have to be in for me to operate the foot pedal? The light is orange and it won’t sew unless I unplug the foot pedal

    Crafty Gemini said that having a sewing-embroidery machine is not that good. What do you think about this machine in particular??

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  Před 3 lety +1

      I can't speak on what anyone else says. They may have had a bad expeirence or have their reasons. I think that it's one of the best machines on the market for the price period. It's sold out everywhere. I don't think it would be in such high demand if it wasn't any good. I've had mine for years and it still sews and embroiders fine.

      @@adubbproductions I have may years of sewing experience - made my own clohes and my childrens' clothes, decor items and quilting too. Honestly, I found this machine instructions very complicated and difficult to understand. The guy doing the demonstration was o.k. for a newbie, but you really should have a more experienced person doing it.

    If you need this much instruction on how to push a button or how a screw comes out. I would think you need to go buy a $30 beginners machine and learn the basics first. A $300 machine is not a starter machine. (like you wouldn't go from riding a bike to driving a big rig for your first vehicle).
    This machine is as basic as it comes.. I learned on a old singer from the 60's. I still have it and its very strong and made to last forever. Real metal parts inside and out. You can saw anything with it... anything the needle will press threw. (leathers, Vinyls and so on) Sadly that old unit will out last this new one by years.Now in its 50+ year old state its as good as the day it was open..

    Repairmen love it when people pull the thread out of the top of the machine! NOT. When you want to change your thread. Cut thread at the spool then grasp the thread at the needle and pull out . Pulling down Never pull up. It will ruin the gears :(

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  Před 3 lety +1

      It will only ruin the gears (tension wheels) if the gears (tension wheels) are engaged. Lifting the presser foot lever disengages the gears (tension wheels). I’ve had this same machine for two years. I’ve pulled the thread that way the entire time. My machine is still working. No issues. Hey. What ever works for you my is fine. No repairs needed over here. 👍🏾😁 they recommend pulling it from the bottom because you don’t have to lift the presser foot that way because that’s the natural flow of the thread. But, lever up. Nothing is engaged. Try it. You can feel clearly feel the difference.

Obviously you have nothing else to do so you chose to continue to watch and went beyond that and commented hense. you have nothing better to do with your boring pathetic life.
      Second How I choose to make my video and how much time I chose to do or say what I want to do is up to me. You don't control of have any say so in one single thing over here. So take your advise to someone somewhere that actually gives a care.
      Third I know this machine very well hense the reason why its ranking and I get so many views and free lance work from my many embroidery videos. smh.
