SCP-2508 - The Long Wait (SCP Animation)

- SCP 2508 is a non-classified anomaly also known as The Long Wait.
SCP-2508 is a cottage-style house of indeterminate location, as well as its .53 km2 of surrounding property. The house has two main floors, not including its one basement and attic. The manner in which SCP2508 is discovered by an individual is always unintentional, and past residents have noted coming across the house at varying addresses in separate towns, different countries, and under wildly dissimilar circumstances. Both SCP-2508's builders and original inhabitants (if it can be presumed there were any) are unknown at this time.
Only one person is capable of being inside SCP-2508 at a time. As an individual enters, however, they will become incapable of leaving. The reason for this comes from the fact that as one exits the property of SCP-2508 on one end, they will find themselves arriving at the other end. This looping - or recursive - geographical space is what prevents escape from SCP-2508. At this point the reader may be growing aware of the implications of what has just been described. It should be clarified that - as escape from SCP-2508 is impossible, and SCP-2508 is not believed to have any real world location - sending information to the outside world is not a possibility. Barring an unforeseen scenario, all material regarding SCP-2508, including this document, is confined within SCP-2508 itself.
Therefore, if you are reading this document, you are now the current resident of SCP-2508.

I feel like this is a spin on the backrooms. it’s like falling out of reality, but reality decided to be nice.
A lot of SCP have affected the 05... but it all depends on the story being told...

Woah, this is incredibly impressive! I wrote this SCP and its tales way back in the day, and it's still one of my favorite of my works. I always love seeing art of something I've made (which doesn't happen that often), but THIS is such a comprehensive and wonderful retelling. I can only imagine the production time spent on this, seriously amazing stuff! After seeing this video and reading these comments, I think I have to go finish those tales once and for all.

Man the editing in this video, like how it progresses from each scene into the next, it's fantastic. Editor has earned a raise I'd say.

@Operator-Snowy I think it’s a whole studio because they have different channels. But as far as I know most talent is hired out, like this narrator has their own channel and whatnot. Even if it is a whole company it’s incredibly cool how quickly they can get these out either way

The scp as a whole reminds me of Samuel Beckett's play "Waiting for Godot". Characters wait for someone, Godot, have some adventures, but they kinda know they probably will never met him

This scp left me with more questions than usual.
In theory : Scp 2508 is some kind of interdimensional space time it's like a hiding base of a powerful being with a house of a plain it's like a storage unit with design similar to a serenitea pot in genshin like making a house and left behind with the protagonist.
The pot of Genshin is the very last thing I expected but I agree with you.
Actually it might be stranger than you imagined. Check out the Tale under SCP 2508.
We always picture the 05 council as these mysterious and almost god like figures so hearing how they all got drunk before stumbling home is a treat

This is a bad, bad idea. Depending on which canon you wish to use, 682 would either come back uncontained, or destroy a fundamental part of reality, creating, at the very least, a CK-Class Reality Alteration Event.
682 would just leave through the wanderers library, there's a door leading to it under the house, he'd just have to dig a hole.
Ya know, if I worked at a place that had people going missing like clockwork and someone had a compulsion to figure it out, they would get reassigned to a safe location. Either they are nuts and wrong, nuts and right, or flat out onto something.
This style of storytelling was amazing!! Awesome stuff, I loved everything about this one.
Really enjoyed this, but there's always a need for a pause to let the last line breathe, instead of "They were never seen agaiNOW CHECK OUT THE NEXT VIDEO!"

I would dug up the foundation of the house and using pee and dry grass make potassium nitrate, and with that explosive blow up the house and see if I could go out then, a couple of years more than enough time for it, I could even make charcoal and set the entire house on fire, blowing up the clockwork below sounds better though.
Can also pour oil from the tuna in the water pipes for that machine and lots of hair to clog up the machine below.

Wait, if SCP-2508 is largely unknown to the Foundation, then how is there a recorded entry? Is there another 2508 that is redacted or something?
Day 131 of asking the O5 to use SCP-1968 to create a universe in which 682 doesn't exist.
It's possible that the entry exists on the outside, but given that much of the database is hidden behind level 4 and higher clearance, it can hide for a long time, with no one the wiser.
We still didnt know if foundation aware of this anomaly or its effect. As we are in the persepective of someone trapped inside scp-2508. How scp-2508 got its designation is also a mystery. On the article, there are mentioning of computer terminal that could be foundation own but it doesnt explained further.
Took me 2 full days but i have finally have seen every single scp video on this channel and im waiting for more and more misterious scp's that may appear.

This kinda seems like an ideal situation to me. Take care of a house and get housing and food. Sure it'd be super monotonous and boring if it was only that but you have the added bonus of a mystery to solve and not to mention no fear of interacting with other people or unstable SCPs. But I reserve full judgement until I hear what's in the basement.

I’ll post this here since it’s the latest so I think it will be read and I’d be curious to see your answer to this. What if the answer to scp-682 isn’t to end it? But to assimilate it through Dr. Bright? You would have to get it to its weakest point whether that be via a gauntlet of different scps with that follow each other’s weaknesses to deal with 682’s ability to adapt or extremely heavy fire power to get the medallion around his neck. Dr bright should be able to take control of 682 or worst case 682 would win the internal struggle and dr bright would finally receive the death he so desires (as revealed by the camera). If 682 does win there’s a chance his soul will be trapped in the medallion instead. In which case it’s a matter of getting it back off and then putting it in containment. (Not trying to upvote farm but please upvote to increase chance of receiving an answer if this theory piques your interest too)
I think they tried that once actually. He got kicked out of its head after a while.
I'm just imagining a SCP employee in the future (would be better if it's a higher up) who's heard about Dr. Victor' Stafford's "crazy theory" and had for a long time assumed he was delusional and obsessed on finding what happen to his friend, Dr. Orion. Only to end up within SCP 2508 themself and find Dr. Orion's notes etc. Then they have the sudden realization Dr. Stafford was completely right about the diappearances. And they are completely helpless on letting everyone else know about this, ending as one of the many victims who is trapped in this pocket-dimension thing.

Just about my kind of SCP. Like to stay alone, with my Lego minifigures and read books, do chores, and basically stay and do housework, maybe try that old swing, see how well it holds my underweight body. Still, I'd be waiting for my sister to return, or for me to meet her someday.
