    I like the concept of easy to use site builders today. What is your seo experience with the ionos site
    builder ?
    Is it good for international seo or more for local seo ranking?

    • @Webeminence
      @Webeminence  Před rokem

      I did a video on SEO with a website builder a 8 years ago but it still gives an idea of SEO basics that can be accomplished with a website builder. czcams.com/video/kQRO5oMXFjE/video.html I don't really make any distinction between local SEO and international. The principles are mostly the same.

    You might already know this, but 1&1's web builder is powered by the Duda web builder platform. I ended up choosing Duda to build sites for local SMBs.

    • @Webeminence
      @Webeminence  Před 5 lety +1

      I didn't know that. I haven't looked at Duda since it was Duda Moble back in the day. It was good back then but I should probably do a video on Duda since it's very popular.

    Even though I prefer more flexible drag and drop website builders, such as SimpleSite, Zyro, and Wix, I have to admit - 1&1 looks functional and fairly effortless

    • @Webeminence
      @Webeminence  Před 4 lety

      Yeah, I'm not sure why someone would choose it over some of the best builders out there. Often - it will be marketing - meaning they find 1&1 first through their marketing. Or it could be that they host or have domains with 1&1 and then try out their website builder. For their current customers, I think it's a serviceable option.

    Hey man, Thanks for the cool review. How´s the customization exactly? I would need a nice gallery for photos of different sizes and a very blank background. Is it possible to delete a lot of the chosen templates, change sizes of elements and change colors of boarders? As 1&1 is already my main provider here in Germany I´m thinking of swappin from a Wordpress Hoster to 1&1. Cheers

    • @Webeminence
      @Webeminence  Před 5 lety

      Hey Markus, sorry - I realized I never replied to this. It sounds like you may want to start with a blank template. But they do give you the ability to remove elements from their template.

    Which one is best Wix or 1&1, bear in mind I have a domain with Wix a
    lready. But I believe you can transfer a domain to 1&1 OR FREE?

    • @Webeminence
      @Webeminence  Před 4 lety

      I prefer Wix over 1&1 any day. Wix is a little different though in it's free-flow design where 1&1 is more of a grid and might be quicker to setup.

    I was part of a team a few years ago that would build websites for 1&1 using this editor. Let me tell you, our service is not really worth it. Basically 1&1 keeps 2/3 of the money. The other 1/3 goes to our company to build them. We pay most money to the Account managers to handle everything smoothly, the freelancers to make text( although they are not well paid either) and the final pennys go to the indian dudes that we actually outsource the whole build to. This editor is not hard to use. If you look at some examples and inform yourself about basic SEO you can make one just as good.

    • @Webeminence
      @Webeminence  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for your input. You're describing a profitable business plan so I get why they do what they do. But I agree that it's probably not a good idea to pay them to build it for you. Website builders are designed to be easy to use so you can do it yourself.

      Where did you read WordPress is not good for SEO. WordPress is a standard in building websites and I believe nearly half the websites in the world run on WordPress. It is good for SEO and offers a lot more flexibility with SEO than most website builders including 1&1.

    • @Webeminence
      @Webeminence  Před 5 lety

      I personally would prefer Wix. I think they offer a lot more and they are a website builder first. 1&1 is more a hosting company that added website builder later. Wix, Weebly, and Squarespace are the leaders in the industry in my opinion.

      I don't believe you're able to have user accounts with 1&1 and that's true of most website builders. I did do a video on Weebly Membership which allows for basic membership on a website for access to certain pages: czcams.com/video/PaGqRVN6d8I/video.html If you tell me what you plan to use accounts for, I may be able to direct you further.
