- "I Proud To Be An Indian, is the story of a Punjabi male who visits his brother in U.K along with his father to attend a wedding and also finds some work for himself. There he finds out that all Asians live in the constant fear of getting attacked by British hooligans headed by a man named Cain. Unable to control his anger he beats a few of these hooligans who complain to their leader Cain. Cain now decides to pitch the Indians against the Pakistanis and let them kill each other. Will Cain's tactics bear him any result? Or will the Indians and Pakistanis forget their personal differences to defend themselves against the common enemy - Cain?

One of my most fav films as a child, saw it back in 2005 and continued watching it over the years, i still love watching this iconic film and as a Fiji Indian in Melbourne Australia who has faced racism, This film is one of the best one's out there on the matter! Too bad it didn't get the success it deserved!

as someone who lived in the uk for a long time, there are plenty of english who are fine upstanding folk. Yes there are the ones that are upto no good. but majority are very much good people.
I love India...we all Indians should be United and erase all inequality be it on gender religion region race ..if we fail to do this we should understand that somewhere there is another Sohail Khan feeling helpless because of actions of ours based on discrimination on the basis of religion region caste race ...India also has several discrimination n we should not be ashamed of admitting it ..rather we should work towards erasing it

This movie highlights issues and problems faced commonly by Desi people in UK..And in Desi..Both Indian and Pakistani people comes..Hope Pakistani people realise that India and Indians are not their enemies.

I was in Uk during those days. This movie is true based on real incidents happened back in 80s and 90s. There was a club in southall area where racist people were inside and they were locked inside and whole club was set on fire by our community people in revenge to their attack’s. The best part of the movie is that All Indians are united irrespective of religion and caste. Thats what we our true identity is. Jai hind.
People should always unite in such matters no matter who or what they are, unjust, injustice, wrong and oppression is always a no no

Man it aches my heart to see movies like these go to waste. I was never a fan of big names like salman shahrukh but the first time i saw sohail khans movie I felt connected and I know many people say he can't act but the movies he chose always proved he can act and the message in this was also strong this still happens in the world where some races feel superior to other.

This movie was based in the 80s when Indians were not as powerful as a community and now the whole England is controlled by them and respects them and our Pakistani and Bangladeshi people we RAJ there this was in 70s and 80s when desis faced the hard time in racism.
There have been series of attacks on Indians and other Asians. Hate crimes have already double in the last seven years in England and Wales and increased enough in the entire UK. This movie is very relevant today as well.
