A lot of you have been asking about the feeding habits of our critters. In this video we look at Bilbo, a Eurasian Kestrel, to see how he eats, and why you need the patience of a saint.
We'll also feature the feeding habits of some of our other critters, including snakes, very soon. Thanks for watching.
DISCLAIMER : It has come to our attention, that information in this video concerning the legality of feeding live prey animals may be misleading. The law is open to interpretation on this matter - it is not strictly illegal - if an animal will not feed on prey that has been humanely euthanised for the purpose then an owner can feed live prey, however they should then attempt to wean the animal onto either defrost or freshly euthanised prey as soon as possible. Many thanks for your understanding

Hi PLZ can you answer this question am I am 12 and I want to start falconry I know how much care they need and the food they need (I know a lot already because the grandad's friend is a falconer but I don't see him very often) do you have to own a license to own birds of prey I've heard that you don't need one for harris hawks
What would you say that are the best beginner birds of prey for a 12 year old PLZ reply thanks

+PiddlingFish77 Depends on where you live. In the US you need a license for any native bird (including the Harris'). Not sure about the UK but I've heard you dont need a license???
