I think what makes Godzilla's design so unique is what it represents. There are two creatures in history, the ogres and the dragons. Ogres are humanoid and is supposed to represent humanity in either a good or bad way. Dragons are not humanoid and represent forces beyond human control. Most creatures in mythology or cinema represent either an ogre or dragon, Godzilla is different. Godzilla is mostly based on a dragon but his body is humanoid making him represent both humanity and nature's creation, this is what the 98 Godzilla truly failed in. This is one of the reasons why he's my favorite character in cinema.
I feel like this video explains the topic of creating a unique kaiju greatly. You thoroughly explain it but you don’t make it sound boring. I await your next video

You know, I felt like Titaragon/Monsturra looked a bit too much like Tradontis, but that design, especially the alternative cat-like head, looks so much better.

Your truly amazing after seeing this one guy on deviantart called Hyrotrioskjan and his terrible godzilla design and then his terrible video trying to justify that terrible design despite admitting to never seeing a godzilla film in his life this really puts a smile on my face.
