- In this video I upgrade my bass rig trolley with new castors, corners and a paint job. I made the trolley many years ago and it had a unique feature that I no longer use. So I wanted to document that before it was deleted forever.
Beautiful work as always Rob, very professional! 👌🏻
Thanks Rob. Trolley of doom would be a great band name.
Jaco's Fender Jazz was called the "Bass of Doom". That's where I stole it from. But yeah I agree!
Hi Rob, I plan to build your bass preamp and currently modelling it in ltspice. But the results are different from yours , e.g. treble eq peaks at 10khz, not 7khz like in your manual. Please could you make your ltspice file available? Many thanks!
Hi mate. I've added the LT Spice file to the Project Berocca page on my site. Hope it helps you out!
@@RobModsThank you, Rob, great job and exceptionally well documented too!
@@RobMods Hi Rob, just to let you know - I assembled the preamp now and am really pleased with the result. Happy Christmas!

P.S. An interesting effect just observed on the oscilloscope: max treble gain is achieved at 7khz indeed. But it will go even higher if the bass pot is set at mid value!
so. you didn't just install wheels on the speaker cab.
I have too many bass cabs to do that, and use different combos for different gigs. Plus with castors this size permanently attached i wouldn't get them in the car. I had to lug this full rig a full city block on the weekend and the bigger castors were a huge improvement. Cheers.
@@RobMods thanks. Just having had cabs that had the accommodation to put them in and pull them out like a roller chair. Maybe you have some like that already
@@RobModsToo many bass cabs is always a nice problem to have. 😂
