    Great info. This only works tough if the DOP and Gaffer know what they want. I often get asked to put asteras in 16 pxl mode 'just in case'. To answer on the strobe profile. They come in handy when replicating shooting flares. Slow chase on the pixels and random flicker.

    Thanks Jeff! I just finished a show where this info would have saved me a lot of time. Definitely will be referring to this on the next one.

    Thanks for explaining this! I've been dealing with this topic a lot! I need to get a better update for my dot2 console that takes on these newer fixture profiles in Grand MA world.

    I endeavour to only use the CCT tint xfade HSI strobe modes either 8 or 16 bit and single or multi pixel on every light - it seems so simple but some don't even have one despite having 100 other profiles (mtpro)

    Really interesting topic! I never know what to pick on my Titan tubes. I always just pick 92 because it seems to cover everything

    will Blackout support GDTF files in the future? As someone working with movingheads in Blackout this would be huge to not have to manually add these 50+ Channel Profiles for every fixture I encounter as they're generally not in the fixture database of Blackout. Or a way to share fixture profiles so I can at least spare others from manually configuring these profiles. Looking forward to 2.0!

    How about using the Skypanel conversion chart on the Creamsource Vortex ? both lights have a RGBW Calibrated mode

    • @cobralyoner
      @cobralyoner Před rokem +1

      the calibration is exclusive to their light engine, you cant just apply them to other fixtures as they are using different emitters that operate on different values when calibrated. Thats why manufacturers have to make their own reference charts instead of using the swatch app for example.

    Odd not much mention of quaser science though...They supposedly do some rather interesting things with their back end color mixing.
