6:32 Oh, so THATS why the netherworld in SMT V is also referred to as “Da’at.” Because knowledge is such a big theme in the game

    Mentions Trumpeter:
Immediately shows the game over screen.
    Very nice.

So Da'at means "knowledge." Smt 5's theming is even deeper than I thought

Want to know something crazier? Lucifer is the Archangel tied to Da’at (or the Anti-Sefirot).

Absolutely loving the SMT content, this also makes the mystery surrounding the Lady in Black a lot more clear (and even more fitting since instead of just looking like Yuko Takao to manipulate Naoki/the Demi-Fiend's humanity like in the most commonly accepted interpretation, it's really just mirroring the role Takao symbolizes herself)

Also, idk if you know about this detail but apparently in any Megaten game with an overworld map and the blue thing you use to move around, the way the blue thing spins indicates the protagonist's alignment, with clockwise being Law, counterclock being Chaos and just bouncing being Neutral. Which means the Demi-Fiend is from the start a Chaos character

@@LobselErik that's specifically a thing in SMT I and II but Nocturne doesn't have an alignment system and it's Reasons specifically subvert conventions of the alignment system of earlier games. So assigning alignment within the game doesn't seem right. And even if "chaos" could be used to describe Demon or True Demon, that's never what the alignment meant in the earlier games, and doesn't match later games that went back to alignments either. The only similarity is association with Lucifer ( and later there is a Lucifer associated ending that is Neutral, and they even give you their blessing in a special Law ending in another game, so even that isn't consistent). The actual Chaos philosophy would be closer to the social darwinism of Chiaki and Yosuga but even then isn't 1 to 1. Part of the entire point of True Demon is you're trying to break the cycles that those Law and Chaos philosophies create and perpetuate.
Or are you trying to imply the intended ending is Yosuga?

Additionally those same icons are all throughout the franchise in other games where they don't change their rotation. The icon spins counter clockwise in Persona 2 also. So are you assigning one set "canon" alignment to the protag in SMT V too or even Persona games where alignment doesn't exist?

@@badwrongfun5541 what I meant with that is that it shows the character's current alignment, like Raidou going from Law to Chaos in Raidou 2 if you side with Dahn for example (which in that game at least, would be just breaking tradition instead of a "strong eat the weak" thing), and yeah the way alignments are subverted in Nocturne is one of the things that makes it so interesting and consistent and looking at its endings through that lens only shows how it breaks them so I like to look at it that way, though the endings outside of the Reasons are more complex to label but since they all go against the law of the game of choosing a Reason to create the world again I put them in a neutral-chaos field. As for the Reasons, I think Yosuga is much more like Law using Chaos as a means of "cleaning the filth", though since the Reasons are all a mix of the alignments showing how they're not so different or not so perfect (like the corruption of Neutrality in Musubi) there isn't really a set alignment to refer to them with.
Overall what I meant with the alignment of the mc thing is that it shows either the alignment the player is taking or like in Nocturne's case, just gives at least a little idea about the mc's personality without taking away their silent protag style, though I haven't seen what the blue thing spins like when siding with a Reason so I'm not 100% sure on that (I've only done Freedom and True Demon endings so far)
Suggesting that there is a 100% canon ending, especially for Nocturne, which manages to make even its best endings have good flaws, would be miles far from what I would mean with that 😅

Please do a video on the nahobino. The term may be made up by the game, but the concept is based on gnosticism, or Christian mysticism. With the demiurge dead and divinity (sophia) returned to the mortals, mankind is able to once again ascend to reunite with the pleroma.
I love that the gnostic god ascended nahobino and the kaballah god ascended demifiend were able to meet up even if it was as dlc

I got the Demi-Fiend DLC when I bought the game and I just can't imagine playing SMTV without it. It feels so important that Atlus made the Nahobino and Demi-Fiend opposites and counterparts of one another.

So I saw your "DMC is actually gay" video (which I agree with) and that was a total red flag. Obsession with DMC in general is a major red flag. It is the worst game series in its own genre.
I can not take you seriously, for you are not a serious human being.
