Greetings Only One! I had the good fortune of acquiring one of these beauties over the weekend as a Father's Day gift. I agree about the cockpit. I'm thinking of customizing by moving the seats forward an inch or two and that would open up the space of the cockpit. I haven't figured out how I'm going to do this, but right now ,I am just basking in all it's glory. Cheers from Boston. Go C's! 🍀
Definitely agree that it would be a smart choice as a Haslab. I wouldn't buy it just because I really can't afford any of the Haslab products, but I know other collectors who would support it for sure. Excellent video!👍

Absolutely this should be a Haslab. I'd be all over it. I have the original version which is great but the wash on the one you have looks amazing and it definitely gives it that lived in look.
I will always hope for the next haslab to be the ghost, even when we have no rebeles tvc figures, i still want that show to have tvc representation

While I was far too in love with the Falcon to pay much attention to Tydirium as a kid, an Imperial shuttle or drop ship is something I would like to see them make in TVC. With things being what they are with Hasbro these days, a big shuttle may just have to be a Haslab, but I'd prefer it was a standard release item (I know, i always say that) but it did make me think, looking at your Tydirium, that they wouldn't have to make it much bigger, maybe less then 5%, to make a workable cockpit. The big issue with the older mold is those seats! Made for classic kenner figures with limited hip rotation and no knees! But with a modern TVC figure, they could make the seat shallower and get more in there just like the BMF. So it's possible. Cross your fingers...

I would certainly back an Imperial Shuttle HasLab project.
The cockpit isn't just small but also very plain, far below TVC standards. The tiny ramp and the ugly landing gears need to be updated as well. A slight upscale would also make the hull area large enough for Hasbro to create a more exciting interior.
Definitely Needs to Be a HasLab ..40th Anniversary of ROTJ ...can have Multiples as well...and can be seen in many New Media ..😎👍
Other honorable mentions for future Haslab vehicles would be the Rebel's Ghost, a stormtrooper transport, U wing fighter, the Juggernaut tank from season two of the Mandalorian. Also Mandalorian starship fighters for our Deathwatch figures.
I totally agree that this would make a great HasLab- in the late 90’s I bought an 80’s model, and it’s just one of those items you have to have in hand to really appreciate. It’s a monolith. I hope they do a Cantina before this, but I do hope they do the Tydirium. 👍

They would probably want to use the shuttle in a big way in andor or the mandalorian as they seem to want to make more contemporary feeling haslabs. Which is a little crazy as only nostalgia will make us pay videogame console prices for toys that would have mass retailed for 90-120 euro/dollars.

Great video mate! Yes agree the imperial shuttle needs a severe update, cmon Haslab do it! The other vehicle that needs a severe update is Darth Vader's advanced tie fighter. It sux that the power of the Force mould has not been updated, it's horrendous that the cockpit door has gaps in it!

If Haslab redoes the shuttle, I would want more cargo space and an operational door below the nose where the figures can actually walk up the ramp and into the ship. And we also need an updated U wing fighter that can hold more figures, with two elevated seats in the cockpit and make it as film accurate as possible, I would buy 3 or 4 of those.

The huge scale of it might be a stumbling block for Hasbro - but like you say mate give us a bigger, detailed cockpit and increase the wingspan sufficiently for it to look in proportion.
What would the pack-ins/tiers be🤔We already have the major players : Palps, ERGs, Vader, Endor Heroes in tvc.
Id say give us the Imperial Shuttle pilots we see at the start of ROTJ “Command Station, this ST-321, code clearance blue” … and for the Rebel side give us a Nik Sant/Captain Rex in rebel commando gear👌👌😀

I think a sandcrawler is still my #1 wish for a HasLab because of the scene building possibilities, but I think the shuttle might be a close second, one of my favorite Star Wars vehicles.

I remember mom buying me the original shuttle back in the day. Unfortunately they have both been lost to time.
Wish they would produce an Imperial Corridor with closing blast doors... they've brought us the Tant corridor, an Imperial one would be great for collections - I had this idea way back and even made a foamboard mockup - I called it Crossfire Corridor and one side was Tant then you could flip it to be an Imperial corridor

The original imperial shuttle was and is big, but we're talking Haslab here, they could make an even larger one and we'd buy it definitely. Hell, I'd buy 3 of those. There'd have to be room for 4 figures in the nose cockpit and the door below the nose would have to accommodate a figure walking up and down the ramp, yeah we'd expect movie accuracy and nothing less, we want it done right.

I have this version (didn’t have the original one as a kid) and was a little disappointed because of the cockpit. I also feel an update necessary because of the landing gear.

Yes! I would back an updated Shuttle day one! The real trick is creating screen accurate landing gear, which are only two under the back of the wings, there is no third set which is used for the flight handle on the vintage/modern release.
A transparent fold-out or removable "third leg" could be a good compromise.
My favorite idea would be a Tantive IV. I would prefer a vertical section cut to have the doll house side when you turn it around. That way you don’t have to open up any panels. Sort of like the Attakus Millenium Falcon diorama cut away.
I used to want it... like a mockup as big Barge with just the main corridor inside. Changed my mind since getting the playset...
A shuttle Haslab would be great, but I want the Mark Boudreaux designed Death Star playset to be the next Haslab. The prototype has existed for over a decade!

The first Shuttle I believe hit the shelves in 1984. They should do the Shuttle in 2024. I would go for the barge Again but at least decks. Sandcrawler and Death Star Playset. Plus cantina.

I agree completely. I have wanted an upgraded version of this for a long time I think it would be perfect for a Haslab. I also agree on the Republic Gunship. I have the original one, like you, but a re-release of the Vintage Collection one would be amazing and it doesn’t need any upgrading. Just re-issue it.
I agree that the Imperial Shuttle would be the perfect choice for next year's TVC HasLab. But I don't know why Hasbro would never go back to the Republic Gunship only because it already exists in TVC. That tooling is more than 20 years old now as well and just too small. Even though I love that version especially it's still kinda handy for children to play with.
Of course you're right about chances of this to happen. I guess at the end of the day I just have to print my own true 1/18 scale vehicles because 1/24 scale just isn't big enough for 3.75" figures. Thanks for making this video. I hope the brand team sees it, too.
Thing is though.... did the Millennium Falcon and Slave One already exist in TVC? 🤔 yes. And that's what's frustrating.... both have had reissues. Do it's not without the possibility that they can resist the first gunship. Maybe in the Genndy style. Luke, Blue Leader and Biggs XWings have all had a stab in TVC more than once (for the same mould)

It’s a bit of a trade off with traditional toy proportions. The BMF has an oversized cockpit to accomodate 4 figures, which we all accept and enjoy.
But sure if they did an all new shuttle I’d be on board. A shame it would need to be crowd funded.
I’m more into the idea of an Imperial Outpost that isn’t so beholden to screen accuracy, but has elements of the Endor landing platform and turrets from the Death Star.. along with the big dish for the Endor Bunker. I honestly think they could retool this shuttle mold to accomodate 4 figures and make the landing gears better.

I was moreso bothered by the fact that the Emperor would have to slide down the ramp on his arse going ''Yipeeeee!'' to disembark. Although an increase in size could address both that and the small cockpit issue. Not that I'd be buying even if they let me. I think I'm pretty much done with the line. I've ordered the new Speeder Bike for old times sake but I can't see buying very much more.
With the recent re-release of the emperor Royal Guard, the Impérial Gunner, The Emperor, The Future New ROTJ Vader and Moff Jejerod, This makes it the Perfect Haslab Project !!!👌🏻😍 They could include the three emperor’s dignitary with it on exclusive Card with Coins. And re-release the one from the 96 later on the Classic Card back in main line !

They could easily up-scale the cockpit and passenger area to full scale, but the dorsal fin and wings would be ENORMOUS! That said, I think people would buy ANY Star Wars vehicle made through HasLab! How awesome would it be to have that thing in flight-mode hanging from the ceiling?!

The newly released Imperial Shuttle (MicroGalaxy Squadron line) looks good. A 6-seat cockpit, and full detailed internal area in the back.
Just needs to be released in 3.75" scale. No Haslab needed.

You could probably get away with modifying the body to upscale the shuttle properly. It already has huge wings and only really needs a deeper body to build a better cockpit.
As well as the cockpit, they could make the main body larger, with a removeable side panel (like the barge) to fit either rebels or Palpatine and his Guards. Also a working ramp and correct Landing Gear. It would be large but the detail would be impressive. At the very least Hasbro could do a TVC Imperial Shuttle pilot with a clear image of the Shuttle on the card back. One of the most elegant starships.

My hope would be for a Sandcrawler, then we could have a 4 pack of Jawa's with fabric ponchos. Could possibly use track from Hiss tank has lab. Hasbro give us a Sandcrawler haslab.

If it were taller, an articulated figure could sit properly. That way it wouldn’t have to be too much longer.
It is a great ship design, not my top choice for a Haslab though. I'd still back one, but I'd prefer an all new vehicle not seen yet in plastic form. My top picks are vehicles from the sequel trilogy but really have no idea how successful they would be - a AT-M6, Kylo Ren's shuttle, or a FO troop transport. A stormtrooper troop transport from the Mandalorian might be good as it's got army building potential, and would probably be on the cheaper side as well.
If they go with the imperial shuttle, they might do a stand so it can be displayed with the wings down

@@OnlyOneKenobi The Ghost is actually a good project too though. Hoping the Hasbro Star Wars team would stick to large scale items that are hard to distribute in retail. The newest Haslab projects like Deathsaurus, Cobra Hiss, SkyStriker and StarSaber are products that can be sold in retail with the latter 2 had already been released in some iteration.
maybe they could enlarge it but it would be huge. If they do something they need to upgrade the landing pads ive always hated them.
Hey O.O.K. This is the one vehicle I've wanted upscaled for many years. The cockpit was the most disappointing part of the ship for me too. I was close to getting the Saga Collection Shuttle but decided to wait for the new improved version...if they are to make it in the V.C. line. 👍🏻

As much as I like the Shuttle Tydirium, the older ones are already large and look great. I prefer something we haven't had before such as a scaled down Star Destroyer or Tantive IV.

I agree the shuttle is too small and needs remade. I sold my old one for exactly that reason. We also need a bigger Y-Wing I think. But disagree the republic gunship is satisfactory. It needs to be bigger too.
Nice setup. I really miss my stolen vehicles, especially the vintage ones and Legacy Falcon. :( Also an FYI: Your Shuttle's wing cannons are still incorrect. It's real easy to just pull them apart and flip them over. There's no glue. Then, you'll be able to have the cannons in the correct upward-facing direction in landed mode. Hasbro put them on wrong on both of their releases.

@@OnlyOneKenobi Yep, an error indeed. The guns are real easy to remove and no tools are required. I'm just glad they pressure fit and no glue was used! Just wiggle and pull! You'll be glad you fixed them, as they will correctly face up in the landed position.

I'm pretty sure the at at that got released in the blue box was another wave that was called the saga line , maybe I'm wrong , I remember walking out of forbidden planet carrying the massive box it was in , even back then I think I paid £300.00 , one of my all time favourite vehicles every made by Hasbro .

I think there is a lot of better things like even the sand crawler would be better! How about a proper u wing from rogue one! And have the rest of the hero’s for unlocks is one I would back! I would take a figure based haslab before the shuttle. I look at the shuttle on my shelf and it just doesn’t look out of place! How about a bad batch! All I know is the next one has to be a slam dunk! Or haslab could be done!

@@OnlyOneKenobi I don't think anything less than $500. Everything has gone up in price and the shuttle is a big one. They should set the backers high and lower the price, then I think Haslabs will do better.

I'd take a Sand Crawler and the Ghost before the Imperial Shuttle. I wouldn't personally buy a Haslab Imperial Shuttle, it just isn't part of what I want for my collection.
My friend, I would gladly take either of the two items you mentioned, particularly Sandcrawler (as I mentioned at end of video!)
But the point I wanted to get across was that the Shuttle is literally the last thing to never get.an upgrade since the 80s.... right? Cockpit size etc... Haslab would do such a classic vehicle justice. 👌🏼

For unlock tiers, the Ghost brings the most exciting options with the TVC Rebels figures. What unlock tiers might excite new collectors with the shuttle?
@@StarWarsSanta don't underestimate the power of the original trilogy! Of course it excites them! Sim Aloo is the ultimate pack in. It's a specialist line anyway... (Haslab) and it does appears in Mando correct? if you're concerned about wider audience....
Could use same argument against Sandcrawler.... THAT could potentially only excite older collectors. If somethings niche, isn't that the purpose of Haslab? To make out dreams come true though? .

A Vintage Sized Imperial Shuttle should be about the size of the RazorCrest...so it should be do-able!
You see in this vid though how this current shuttle dwarfs even the Razorcrest? 🤯🙃 and so a Haslab one would be even bigger! Way bigger than anything else... unless, they just fractionally increase wings size the match the cockpit extension 🤔👌🏼
The next Haslab should be the LAATi/c (aka republic gunship carrier) the blue one that carries the AT-TEs into battle.

I disagree. It's too late in the year, to have this ready to ship in 2023 for the RITJ 40th as a Haslab. I'd rather this be a Hasbro Pulse exclusive like the Boba's throne room set. I too have been waiting for a brand new design & upscale of this baby since I discovered the BMF.
Yes, I would require the 4 seated cockpit & main body storage. Which should have a modular interior in mind, to convert into a Palpatine version, Vader version & shuttle Tydirium version, which is basically a standard one, that also serves other Imperial comnand personnel.
I also want upscaled versions of the Y-wing & B-wing. Plus the EU Legends versions that are 2-seaters.
For a Haslab, I want a Royal Naboo queen's star ship. It would need to be 6' long & the outside completely covered with vac-metal surface via the new coating method! It would be a thing of beauty!!
Or maybe a Jedi cruiser, such as the one Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan used in the beginning of TPM.
Another one could be Darth Maul's Infiltrator. It would need to be upscaled to Razor Crest size or so & also be able to house a Blood Fin.
A more true to scale Sand Crawler would be nice too. Although, not as exciting as the others.
The Ghost would only make sense, if it's a main stay in the Asohka series.
I'd also like a Rogue Shadow.

My thought was it could be announced in 40th year at least and take it from there. That vehicle never got the updated upscaled cockpit it deserves... 👌🏼

they've upscaled ships for retail, just upscaling one for a haslab... nah, sorry, that doesn't work for me. these are supposed to be dream projects that would never make retail, but something like this would have. they'd want $400 for it and it *still* wouldn't have electronics, lol.
i don't know what i want for a haslab. i think an E-11 blaster with electronics would be cool, but that's just me.

But I've been hearing from people today who are suggesting that the OT is limiting the market.... which I think is bollocks. . I'm certain ALL STAR WARS fans, young and old know and dig the original trilogy.
As for a Shuttle being in Hasksb...... well, I only entertained that idea because to do it RIGHT, would make it BIG! Hence it being such an exclusive premium item suitable for Haslab.
As for Republic Gunship.... well that DEFINITELY is retail. Coz previous was fine enough, so all they need do is reissue it! 😉👌🏼
@@OnlyOneKenobi 'star wars' is, imo, a hard sell at this point. it's all been done, often repeatedly. they're run out of things to do that they've resorted to holiday repaints and characters that were never onscreen in any form. shoo, some of the new figures are from the expanded universe di$ney says doesn't count anymore. what hasblo doesn't make, some other company does.
so, where do you go with it at this point? life-size taun taun heads on a mount? to me, i'd like to see higher end 'playsets' that serve as displays.
