I always think of the Hellknights and Barons of Hell in the first two Doom games as demons with khaki pants because it looks like that’s what they’re wearing.

Dread Knights and Marauders have slowly become my favorite designed Demons. The Marauders just look so badass.
I'm a fan of all of them since they all have a place in the metaphorical chess board, but if I had to make a list it would look something like this;
1. Marauder
2. Tyrant
3. Dread Knight
4. Mancubus
5. Revenant
6. Cyber Demon (2016 version)
7. Baron of Hell
8. Pinky (Doom 2016 and Eternal)
9. Gladiator
10. Arachnotron
I'd switch Dread Knight with Arachnatron. I love how they went from having a shitty looking walker made out of backyard scrap to what they are now. The biggest leap forward amongst the legacy enemies.

Marauders look cool but they're assholes. The messed up my ultra nightmare campaign so many times.
DOOM 3 looks more like Dead Space than any DOOM game.
It plays more like a resident evil game

because that was pretty much the idea. honestly, it caught my eye when i first saw it as a kid in an IT magazine with the whole uncanny valley-human monster design, but i personally found the game to be kinda boring in comparison to other doom games, and obviously in comparison to dead space too.
Actually when I said it looks more like Dead Space because the so called demons look like they straight out came out of a Dead Space

I'm so happy Eternal went with the classic appearance for the demons, they're too iconic to change up. Doom 3's designs were definitely creepy, but I wasn't a fan at all.
Same exept for 2 things
1.Revenant (doom 2016 was MUCH BETTER than eternals)
2.Hellnight(idk I find the 2016 version creppier)

@@pura8898 I agree actually, 16 Revenant was much better. Also the Baron of Hell in 16 was better. I do like Eternal's magma-fied version, but it doesn't feel as menacing to me.
@@goldgojira6101 personally I like the new Barons and the expansion of lore to include different demon subspecies, but not the Mancubus imo. 2016 Manucbi looked way better.

I always loved the Pain Elemental, not because it was fun to go up against, oh nonono, it was a bastitch to fight. I loved the design and how it looked like it was just shuffling to get from place to place like my grandpa without his cane trying to speedwalk.
even the Pain Elementals in Eternal do that sometimes when they try to get closer to you. Found it really funny the first time I saw it. But most of the time you don't notice it because you're too busy blasting everything apart

I think the revenant is the best looking as well. Slightly disappointed in the Eternal version.

Actually brought up Nightmare Spectre. As someone who grew up with the PS1 port, its great to see a video where this monster wasnt over looked.
I grew up with Doom 64 and Playstation Doom, I had to include it. I'm so stoked Doom 64 is finally getting the attention it deserves.

I absolutely love how absurdly over the top these games are.
I can just imagine the lost souls sitting on a couch watching the massacre unfold as demon body parts fly through the air in DOOM eternal

Now that you mentioned it, they could've used the gladiator design for the hell knights. I would've enjoyed that than the more alien design
I think they're intentionally different. It's almost like the Gladiator is one of the few survivors of the original Hell Knight/Baron species from the original game.

I count most of doom 3’s enmities as separate beings, they are just too different, not that that’s a bad thing but still. Also, the doom hunter is probably my favorite of the new monsters because it looks SO much like something that would have been in the OG dooms, id love someone to mod doom with the hunters in there

I just loved how 2016 and eternal brought it ALL back to the feel of the original, with some story upgrades that made it still feel like heaven and hell, but with a human making all the difference....

When you cross a mancubus with a Hell knight, you basically have Siren Head.
Hopefully they will add DLC for Doom Eternal for more demon, angle, and more glory kill, and so on. In the future.

i hate the pain elementals in doom 2 but i love them in doom eternal. they're more versatile and cooler looking cacodemons that spawn lost souls to chip away at your health. i also love each of the pain elemental's glory kills. my second favorite is definitely the tyrant/cyberdemon. it's incredibly fun to switch between the ssg and ballista and watch the mesh fall apart and meathook around to get some sneaky lock on rocket hits on them. my third and final favorite is the revenant, which is incredibly versatile and is a very fun demon to fight. it's always a pleasure to take out their shoulder cannons after missing several shots and finish it off with an awesome glory kill.
It kinda sucks that the tyrant wasn’t a boss. The cyber demon is my favorite demon but the doom hunter comes a close second.
I consider Tyrants, Archviles, and Barons of Hell recurring bosses. Not every one of them needs a health bar.

The marauders origin is human it used to be like the doomslayer but if you look a little into the story you'll see there was a way to resurrect the knights and when they were resurrected they could somtimes come back with alot of hell energy and thats how the marauder came to be

One obscure Demon that never gets mentioned anywhere is the wall Demon from Doom 3. It pops out for a split second to jumpscare the player and is never seen again. I don't even know what it's name is.

Pinky will always be the demon i like and hate more. They put a decent amount of threat without being obnoxious, appear in a lot of games, and are overall never easy, nor never too hard to fight against. I mean, unless you get a super shotgun point blank shot in their backs.

My favourites are marauders they just so overpowered and i like how its attacks are more complex than any other normal demons
