Ryan getting one of the rarest achievements in the game, rewarded by not picking up a light source throughout the entire run, despite actively searching for one.
Definitely a moment, lmao.
FYI: I’m talking about the “We Die in the Dark” badge he got during his “practice” run.
He mentioned not being able to get a light source at all during his “practice” run at 29:20.
the thing that confuses me is he DID pick up a light source during the run, and also didn't get the 'we die in the dark' badge.

@@Bloxxedz he has the blacklight in the shop at the start, which you can only get from getting the we die in the dark badge, so he got it in a previous run
He probably did in a different run because you only need to make it to the Ridge after the Blacksite to get it, you can pick up light sources after and it's not even that hard because you never need light sources in the game anyway, they are more dangerous than helpful because of the squiddles

The blacklight is a special item that you can only unlock in the pre-run shop by getting "we die in the dark" badge, which requires to beat the game solo without ever picking up a light source
so not only did you manage to beat the game, you also managed to get one of the HARDEST badges in it, that deserves a round of applause , great job man! 👏

To give some extra context. Zeal, the lead developer of Roblox Pressure, literally posted a meme about Ryan dying to parasites on the final level. Ryan got schooled so hard by the developers that they had an entire watch party in discord to see it.
So saying this is redemption would be an understatement (especially getting the blacklight).
That's hilarious lol, what exactly did the Devs say? Aside from obviously a bunch of skill issues jokes.

The fact that Ryan was so offended by the devs memeing on him that he completed the game twice is so deliciously amusing.

Edit: I'm not saying this in a mocking way btw, but another advice: Look for the weird spotlight. There should be a green beacon near it leading into a cave. That's where you go.

knowing that ryan acually was casually playing roblox, its kinda a nice feeling, knowing that alot of youtubers see roblox as just a kids game and to make money off of it, the fact that ryan was playing off cam made me realize that he acually sees it as a game and not just a way too get veiws, nowonder i like how he plays roblox games so much more then other people

Besides the "Search Party" badge being 1.9%, "We Die In The Dark" which is the badge which gives you the blacklight in the shop, is a 0.2%. Congrats for being one of 11k, Ryan.
“The thing that was running” is called a wall dweller.
You can see a *very* faint humanoid shape in a wall every now and then. After you pass it and go through 1-2 doors, it will exit the wall.
It will make disgusting noises and loud, hurried footsteps, however, it can be almost silent at times.
The wall dwellers can go through vents and attack you even inside of Sebastian’s shop. (I died in his shop the first time I encountered one.)
The way to scare them off is simply to look at them and they will run away, however, sometimes they fake running away and will come back, so make sure to watch your back even if you just scared one away.
When you saw one you actually got lucky as any Angler variant (Angler, Chainsmoker, Pinky, Froger) can and will kill it as it rushes through. It isn’t confirmed if Pandemonium (the one with the eyes in its mouth) will kill it. If you go up to the body, you can eat it and get a secret badge, along with regeneration! I was kind of sad that you ran away from it after it died as that doesn’t happen often.
I hope you (or anyone, really) reads this and learns something new, if anyone wants to know more about any monster, either search it up, play a lot and learn from experience or from the documents you get from Sebastian or reply to my comment with the one you want to know more about! :)

I'm glad you came back to actually beat the game, after you were so close to beating it previously a developer of the game announced how sad he was because you, a CZcamsr he watched since childhood, didn't manage to beat his game all because of "some bug" they forgot to fix.
The human-looking thing you saw walking towards you in the last video is a wall dweller, they spawn in the previous room with an audible dribbling-like noise, they start walking towards you and can be scared of by simply looking at them, then they will run away, also, if they coincidentally spawn when an angler is passing through, they will get killed, you can them take a piece of them and eat it, it provides passive regeneration 'til the end of the game.
During the first grand encounter with the searchlights, you can hide under boxes and desks, so not only in lockers, gates and shipping containers.
The difference between other anglers and the purple one is that the purple one doesn't flicker the lights, so you have to rely on sound to hear it's screaming before it arrives.
The green one, the chainsmoker that is, is considerably slower than all the others, so you have to time your lockers carefully, he also makes you fear lockers if you step into his gas, but you'll calm down soon. The chainsmoker has a chain-like sound, so you'll know how to distinguish him from all the others.
The brown one, the froger, can rebound, so keep listening for him after he does his initial attack.
Oh and I have no idea how you got the blacklight in the shop, it's locked behind a pretty rare badge that requires you to beat the game with no source of light whatsoever.
The 15-or-so rooms after room 100 are referred to as "The Ridge", these rooms have no lights that can flicker, so you need to rely on sound to beat them, one other notable thing is that the anglers here have a cooldown rather than a spawn chance, so that means that every minute or so one spawns, so after it passes, you have a short grace period. This also means that they will keep spawning even though one has already passed through the room, unlike all the previous rooms that are limited to one angler attack each.
The 15 rooms are "The Blacksite" and the final level where the final encounter is is "The Ridge"

It resembles a cave construction site with various equipment lying around. In The Ridge, lights frequently go out, making the area considerably more dangerous. It lasts for 15 rooms, and serves as an endurance run of sorts, with frequent monster spawns and no real safe zone."

@@SnaxxHaxTV That is correct, they are a room type, but ALL the rooms up to room 115 are the Hadal Blacksite collectively, that's just where the game takes place, but I don't think the final encounter is called "The Ridge" since the official wiki says that "The final Grand Encounter takes place after The Ridge."
To clarify, you do not have to beat the game to get We Die In The Dark, you just have to make it past the 15 rooms. Once the power comes back on, you get the badge.

24:26, Ryan, that diving gear you're wearing has a feature where the guys who "Hired" you, they can remotely trigger a shotgun shell pointed at your neck to kill you if you step out of line, or in this case have a interfering signal causing it to beep slowly then faster until it detonates.

@@AidenHere Well, from the lore document this was because convicts had kept making escape attempts whilst building the hadal black-site and the diving gear kept being lost due to the convict dying from the pressure further up in the trench causing them to lose money and precious materials, so they attached this precaution to prevent the convicts from stepping out of line and if they did, they remotely gave a warning or just detonated the shell.
the reason the wrong doors say "please forgive me" or "i'm sorry" is because at the start of the game the player is told that they are mapped threw the safest way to the crystal. The door number is actually a number the navigator set.
actually thats p.ai.nter making the doors openable and show a number on the sign, p.ai.nter sometimes just gives up on trying to fool you and instead of a number the sign shows "please stop trying. please.", and if you fall for the fake door, he either speaks to you and his face shows up on the sign, or he just places a message on the sign
Whats actually really funny to me is how Ryan has the blacklight unlocked. The only way to get that in the starting shop is to beat the full game without using a single light source. So not only did he beat it, he got one of the hardest achievements too! Props to you man 😂

I've died almost 20 times now and no wins man 😂 I've reached the Ridge tho although the Pandemonium minigame gets me everytime(I'm not used to Laptop), gotta find a way on how to avoid those demonic infested anglers without lockers 😔

I'd suggest playing it with friends! The horror aspect is pretty much forgotten when you're all joking around, and there's a feeling of safety in numbers. It's actually a really fun way to bond with ppl

if eyefestation is looking at you, you can get close to the window and crouch and sometimes have to look down, and he won't be able to see you, also ryan when you revive you can go back to where you died, and pick your items.

36:53 I'm actually making my own sequel for the game myself with permission from the owner. The funny thing is he's described it sort of how I'm going to make it myself. So far I'm working alone on the fangame myself due to me not having anything to hire anyone with LOL but so far I've got the person who voiced HQ to voice some of the lines in the game, and I'm possibly getting the person who made the music in the game to make some songs for me to use in it. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it. :,)

Angler actually has a few variants and they all have distinct and different looks and emit different noises. The pink angler will emit a very loud scream and come without making ANY light flicker, the brown-ish one is called “Froger” and he’s fast and goes back and forth multiple times, the grey one is “Blitz” and he’s the fastest monster in the game, he gives you barely any reaction time, the last one is the chainsmoker, he’s a green face and goes extremely slow leaving a trial of smoke behind, i’m not sure the smoke foes anything but from my experience it seems to be harmless.
Chainsmoker emits a smoke that makes u get outt so u can't be early in the locker

I’m not sure if you tried this, but if you get the flash light that bursts instead of giving constant light, and hit it right up into the green eye monsters eye, then you get a cool boss fight
few things.
1, the green eye monster is a bull-shark known as "eyefestation"
2, the flash light that bursts is called the flash beacon
3, it's not a boss fight. it just enrages eyefestation (+enraged badge)
4, flash it 2 times with the flash beacon and it's ++enraged
5, downside to enraging eyefestation? higher damage when looking at it (more radiation in your brain) and it's pull is harder to resist.
(i don't think anyone except completionists want to enrage eyefestation)
and tip: sometimes i've been able to pull the camera into a stalemate between the view pull to left and right. making it much easier to get through the room. though this is a bug. and eyefestation might move a little so time is limited if you pull it off so best not to get distracted. but it is pretty hard to do so not much use in telling ya.

Ight. so there are 5 different types of anglers:
1.Default- The lights will flicker and moments later will either rush from behind or the front.
2.Blitz- The lights will flicker twice, it'll take a bit of extra time for them to start rushing but once they do, as they say: Nothing stops the A Train.
3.Pinkie- The lights will NOT flicker and instead will have a high pitched scream signalling its arrival.
4.Frogger- The lights will flicker and frogger will come by, once it reaches the next door it'll go backwards, and once it reaches the furthest door there, it'll return and disappear for a last time.
5.Chain smoker- Chain smoker is as slow as a snail and emits green smoke, wait until it's confirmed to be right near you before going in a locker, else you'll be booted out straight into its mouth if you go in too early.
6. Pandemonium- Not a Angler variant but acts similar, the lights will flicker and if it spots any players in a locker, a minigame will be played to keep your cursor in the middle, after you complete it it'll leave.
Hope this helps out any one who is confused why angler acts so differently some times

For anyone confused, when he started this run he has the blacklight in the pre run shop. And you can only get it by doing a run without picking up a light source and not dying once all the way until you get past the ridge.

Let's go dude! Good run dude, and I'm glad you came back and beat it. Hope you come back to it sometime in the future, because there are SO many secrets and a bunch of worldbuilding I think you'd enjoy. If you like SCP you'll like some of the secrets and things you can find in runs.
Ryan, some tips for things to try. For a harder experience while playing get the flash beacon light source and flash the Eyfestation (green shark) flash him once for a harder mode and flash him again for a SUPER difficult run he will attack you constantly when he can and its super fun and dangerous, also if you go into a heavy containment area (with the giant doors) you can find the p.AI.nter.. the secret antagonist of the game... a new update is also coming soon so I hope you play again then to see all the new crazy things they are gonna add.. also the storyline and lore of this game is MUCH deeper then we thought... Check out your urbanshade documents in the lobby!
Lmao I tried that on my first run because I thought that's what I'm supposed to do 😂
the entity that was walking towards you is a Wall Dweller. Wall Dwellers can camouflage in walls and hide, to spot them try and look at their feet. After the victim walks by, the dweller gets out of its trap and sneak up, listen carefully to its footsteps, if it gets closer to to you it trips you and starts to eat your body.
You should loot the ending rooms, you could find documents and stuff
IDK if anyone said it, probably has, but the one that attacked Ryan at 16:28 is called Pinkie and she doesn't make Lights flicker, you have to listen for the screaming to evade her.

Explaining the Angler to Ryan just in case others haven't
The Angler has different forms, regular, gray, pink/purple, orange/yellow, and green
Regular is one that goes only one time around and always flickers the lights, it's sound is recognizable
Blitz is the gray one and flickers the lights and has a slight delay before arriving, and when arriving, is faster than the regular
Pinkie is the pink/purple one and can show up in dark zones, but if in light, they don't flicker the lights, so you have to rely on sound, their scream is more high pitch than the others
Froger is the orange/yellow one that also flickers the lights, but they go twice around, basically like Ambush from Doors, but less intense
Chainsmoker is the green one and flickers the lights, but they're recognizable for leaving behind a trail of green smoke, which I believe can kill you if you get out too early

Just played this with my friend and the was a room full of those spooky face thingies and I was literally screaming
Ryan, quick tip: When encountering Eyefestation it's easier to keep looking up or down than trying to keep your camera straight since the camera auto adjusts or stops at a certain point when looking up and down so you just lock in.
Another thing, if you use the flash beacon on Eyefestation it triggers the enraged version but if you survive it you get an achievement :D

If you ever play the game again heres a tip, use the flash beacon on the eyefestation shark to disorient it, so itll swim away. Its a lot more helpful in dark rooms. And also use the flash beacon on Sebastian if you want to piss him off. Hopefully this helped!

How about you look at the number which increases with any Intel you get up and connect the dots that this is your MONEY!? You can clearly see it go down when you bought batteries... As others have said, collect enough Intel to reach 1000 and you can buy Sebastians Document. We defo need more people mention it because the chances of Ryan seeing it will be higher. 😮💨

Glad to see another cross the finish line with that last segment! I can't lie, when I got there myself I was lucky but sweating my cheeks off dealing with three of those floodlight anomalies at once. Plus, the 20 room segment with the Angler has given me reason to return to Doors to finish the Rooms.
One more thing, and I won't spoil it all but on one of my attempts (Around my 5th or 6th), there is a rare occurance that you may stumble upon a room with a large elevator OR a unique door on your path OR... A familiar adversary. The elevator was what I got as I discovered the other two from other peoples playthroughs but you'll be surprised to find one of the three when you return when a new update drops in.

That one room you entered (6:43), you can also hide in the mini hallway in the middle door.
Anglers only go to doors that leads to the next room. A hallway with a false doors (with Good People), the gold rooms, ones with stairs that leads to false rooms, etc. are safe like the lockers.

FuN FaCtS Of ThE DaY:the guy that tricks you going in to a fake door and their sentences you see once you get caught by him. are actually two different entities and when the sentences say sorry it’s sarcasm, because sometimes it says die for me or stop trying. Also, you can use the flashgun on Sebastian and the eye shark but I wouldn’t recommend doing it on the eye shark.

Each Angler variation has its own sound:
The regular Angler has that distorted scream we all know.
Pinkie, the purple one, has a more high-pitched sound, she's the one that attacks without warning other than her sound.
Frogger, the brown one. sounds like low-pitched heavy breathing sounds, he's the one that comes back after some time. Also fun fact his design is based on the monster from Iron Lung. His name is based on the monster's name in the game's files and his badge ("An Ocean Of Blood") is a reference to what you're exploring in Iron Lung. Also Sebastian's dialogue mentions the game. Devs really went "How many Iron Lung references can we put in a single entity?"
Blitz, the grey one, is the fast one. Like, fast fast. He sounds like a heavy burst of wind. Not sure what you expected.
Chainsmoker, the green one, has a less distorted scream but you can really just recognize him by how slow he is and the green smoke. His smoke makes you want to get out of lockers faster.
Although not an Angler variation, Pandemonium, the one that initiates that minigame when you hide in a locker, produces a sound similar to many people screaming extremely loudly at the same time. He's also quite fast so you're usually unable to hear it until the last few seconds.
Finally, [REDACTED] appears when [DATA EXPUNGED] and produces a [ANTI-SPOILER THING IDK].
Just a nitpick, but Frogger is a girl.

Also I would like to mention the beeping coming from your diving gear is actually an explosive if you die to it either by going out of bounds basically an outdoors area that has no parasites refusing to grab the crystal and walking away from it or one of the enemies that causes it to beep if they're too close will cause you to die to it

The black light can only be purchased from the dead drop shop after getting a really hard badge that requires you to never pick you a light source the entire run. The fact you got that badge and didn’t realize it is crazy and funny.

Also, with the fake doors, there are two ways to distinguish the fake one. First is by sound, second is that if you look close enough and for enough time, the number pad of the fake one will eject sparks.
Help with all angler variants
(The pink one) (duh) Pinkie: dosent flicker the lights
(The orange one) frogger: does a rebound
(The grey one) blitz: flickers lights twice and zooms through
(The green one) chainsmoker: if slow but leaves smoke that makes you leave the locker
The best way to distinguish the nodes (angler variants) is by sound (with the exception of a few) because every node sounds different. The main one is angler, Pinkie (pink variant) doesn't flicker the lights. Froger (brown variant) makes a deeper pitch sound and acts the same as ambush from doors. Blitz (uh, I forget the variant) doesn't make much noise until he speeds into your face when he makes an attempt to break your ear drums (he is soo loud!). Chain Smoker (green variant) is very slow, he causes the stress effect (when you are in a locker and you get kicked out after your screen goes black and your heart starts to beat a lot) to happen a lot faster, this means you have to get in at the very last second. Pandemonium (variant with lots of eyes; the best way I can explain it XD) is probably the hardest. He actively tries to hunt you down, so good luck hiding in a room instead of a locker. He gives you a stressful minigame in a locker. And the last thing he does, happens if you try to hide behind an obstacle, which will cause him to start aggressively ramming trying to get to you. The last variant is the Multi Monster (A-60 from Doors/Rooms, and the rarest node entity) which gives you only two subtle warnings, you get is a slight sound and red words that appear above your toolbar (there are many things that they can say, I think). After this you have about 2-3 seconds to get into a locker before it comes and kills you. memorizing the different sounds and gimmicks of the nodes is really useful. Hopefully this helps!

CONGRATS IN BEATING THE GAME AND GETTING THE HARDEST BADGE BY ACCIDENT???? but pls during the searchlights in the middle of the run, don't hide in lockers, it could risk you being kicked out, if it happen to flash you a little longer. You hide under those pile of boxes OR forklifts to survive. It's much more easier to find that across the map.
+ If you died, you can come back to the spot you died on previously and pick up all of the items.
+ pls don't walk close to the radio by the ridge. Beeping sounds will play and if you let it beep for too long, it will detonate you.
I would recommend you playing this game as a continuous series, and try to get win streaks since it has unique room generation every now and then. It will have an update pretty soon too, I'm pretty sure.
If you don't already know, frogger comes by 3 times (most of the time) which is the brown angler but sometimes he comes back and fourth 2 times.
Also the strange mannequin thing that runs after you is called, "Wall Dwellers" which pop out randomly from the walls. You will hear loud key-like footsteps.
The way to stop it is to look at it.
If one of the anglers are coming while the wall dweller is following, it will die.
If you pick up its body and eat it, you get infinite regeneration over time. It lasts until death.
A game i kind of want to see Ryan play on roblox is Arcane Lineage. Despite its lack of direction it is a really fun rpg game. With 2 bosses to try and defeat. Might not be the best option for a video solo, but it could be with a couple friends

Tip for good people: when you see the door number glowing when ur in the dark, it means its a fake door. the ones that AREN'T glowing are the safe ones.

Just saying as Ryan did not appear to know this but, unlike in doors revive tokens can be purchased in the lobby with the currency(Kroner) that you get after a run instead of having to pay Robux or redeem codes.
Hola Ryan, there's been a recent update! There's a lot of new changes, especially with Sebastian, if you flash him the flash beacon, he actually hurts you. If your health is lower than 50%, then he's going to shoot you. He's more mean too.
Ryan you can get the blacklight in the prerun shop by making it to the final part without having any lightsource in your inventory so that "practice" run gave you the "we die in the dark" badge granting you this option in the dead drop shop (prerun shop)

To get a big reaction From Sebastian, buy or if you already have a flash beacon, flash him with it, he will get very upset by it. Another way to upset him is to poke his items with the Key card, hold it in your hand while interacting with an item he sells, he will be confused and upset. Another thing, you can get over 2000 credits before actually reaching his shop (you will have to search every single desks drawers to get that many), if you buy every item on his tail you will get an achievement and a voice line.
Also if you die on land and respawn…your items stay were you died, you uhh…left all your items….
(Please play this games again! There’s so many Easter eggs and references that you missed! You have to keep play please! Hope these few tips helps for the next run!)

i got sebastian's full document and just incase you wanna know ryan his full name is sebastian solace and he used to be a human but he was part of an experiment to give human's gills. his experiment was successfully failed ig. the experiment was using DNA strands from a blue whale, something blurred out, a sea snake, a great white shark, a female angerfish, a silver spiny fin, and a mantis shrimp. he was accused of offing nine people but then proved innocent but by the time they could let him free they couldnt reverse the experiment effects so they instead gave him better living conditions and access to stuff only available to higher status people called MR-P's (no clue who they are) before he was proved innocent everyone was told to kill him on sight and he also set free all the monsters that you avoid in the game (i think, it says he freed monsters so i assumed they're the ones he freed) also apparently he was married. he's publicly declared dead so i feel sorry for his partner. it doesnt say this on his document but i saw someone say this online.
