That's kind of a light sentence for the cops. I would argue they need something more serious to discourage this type of behavior in the future. I think something more akin to what the cops do to family pets would be more appropriate.

While normally departments have a policy against turning off the body camera. Digital camera have many known issues. There are a lot of out side factors that can cause them to stop recording. User might even notices your body camera stopped recording inform their supervisor to get a replacement while on duty. A replacement may not be available to them for the rest of your shift. Body cameras are a great tool but do to user error, deliberate actions, and failures out of the users control. No one could say for sure with out an investigation as to what happened and fire them one the spot.

He was also a POS and has bragged about hitting specific type of people with them and how hard their heads are so it takes several strikes to knock them unconscious. I hated the man, always have. I was at a friend's house in 1998 and the cops randomly showed up and searched the entire place because they said one of us was spotted leaving the scene of a crime. They checked in draws, under couch cushions, everything. They didn't find anything and nothing ever came of it lol. I used to get stopped and searched for no reason, just because they were hoping I had something illegal on me. When they didn't find anything, they'd just tell you to leave. We need to start holding police both criminally and civilly accountable to a higher degree than anyone else whenever they abuse their power and break the law.
As soon as they operate outside the confines of the law they deserve no special privileges but rather greater punishment.
Knowingly unlawfully arresting someone = kidnapping, assault and false imprisonment charges at the least.
Raiding the wrong home with guns drawn = felony breaking and entering with a firearm for every cop involved and assault for pointing a firearm at the occupants.
It should be treated absolutely no differently than 10 civilians bashing the sheriffs door off its hinges and holding his entire family at gun point while tying them up.
This should extend to judges who sign warrants without a reasonable amount of evidence of any crime committed and DAs that fail to prosecute when there is ample evidence of the police committing a given crime.
This would probably cut down on the issue real quick.

They love saying stupid stuff like that ... makes them think they're action heroes from the last bad movie they watched. They're pathetic cowards .. also extremely dumb. Dumb psychopaths love low level jobs like 'law enforcement' to indulge their ridiculous urges.

Even when normal people join law enforcement for the supposed right reasons they’ll become tyrants real quick or they’ll have no upward mobility and can’t get promotions and they will ultimately be shunned by their peers and have to quit or they will be fired. They’ll need to lie on reports, lie on the stand, and most importantly, always put the “thin blue line” and their “brothers in blue” above all else! Then they start having more and more contempt for the constitution and citizenry they swore to protect as their uneducated, ignorant, arrogant, small minds become more and more inflated! A few bad apples? Does anyone really believe that? Seriously🤬. The hate in their eyes when questioned in any manner says it all. It’s a serious problem and has serious, negative implications for anybody that crosses their path and doesn’t bow down to their imagined authority. I’m not a “defund the police” moron or a BLM activist because we obviously don’t want to live in a society where the “law of the jungle” reigns supreme. We want criminals to have something to be afraid of and we need thieves, murderers, rapists, violent lunatics, etc to be locked up but why? Why? Why? Why can’t we have law enforcement officers that actually know the laws and don’t give meaningless directives while they simultaneously hope and pray to lock anyone up that doesn’t praise them and do as they say when they have zero authority or dominion over you unless your committing a crime? Unfortunately, no cop will ever read any of our comments because the “head in the sand” approach enables them to keep their fragile egos intact🤬

One of these officers deputy Henry Trujillo is actually a murderer as well, he killed an unarmed man named kristian martinez claiming he was attacked but it was never investigated...like most of his actions...the fact that this guy is not only not in jail but also still able to wear a badge is truly horrifying

@@aoeu256THIS is how it is in the age when literally everyone is carrying a camera around and cops have cameras attached to them. It’s still like this.
Cops stall the release of body cam video, edit it, cover their cameras, turn off their mics, or turn off the cameras all together in the middle of an interaction. And nothing happens to them.
Cops get fired and start working at a different department 10 minutes away. Cops murder, harass, and pillage the public with impunity.
