Andy's answer of Haaland for the hattricks question was correct. He scored one against Burnley in FA Cup, 5 against Leipzig in UCL and got at least 3 or 4 in the Prem.

I am 100 percent certain that Haaland was correct as well (Too many in prem, Burnley in fa cup, Leipzig in UCL).

"Foreign" was probably a better way to word that first question
All oakel had to ask was “who was the first non-British player to win the golden boot in the premier league” and it would have saved so much confusion 🤣

When it’s a question like closest number for the attendance. They should write it down and reveal it so the other persons answer can’t be affected

I'd also say as a way to improve the quiz, questions regarding prices players were signed/bought for are hard because of the fact stated in this episode that we never truly know the correct amount. Both clubs involved say a different amount let alone whether the cost is reported as Euros or Pounds. I mean all of this to say, it doesn't really test someones IQ on football when it's not a black or what fact if that makes sense?

I’m sat here playing my first champs on about 2 months and I heard the women’s euros question and out of no where I think in my head 87,500 and was super close, I also didn’t even watch the final and aren’t from england😂
Get Andy a new opponent I reckon. That first one was definitely worded poorly unfortunately. I may have said it something like "The first time the Premier League golden boot was won by an overseas player it was actually shared by two foreign players. Can you name either of these two players?"

I think Oakley needs to put more work into the questions/question types. Some of the questions are unnecessarily wordy/confusing (such as the first questions), not detailed enough(such as the Newcastle questions, i don't know anyone who isn't a Newcastle fan who would of gotten that question right), or don't fit his trivia format (such as the Women's euro attendance number)
That first question is worded so bad. No league mentioned, international doesn't exclusively mean non-English/British.
An international player can easily be seen as someone who is literally playing for their country

This is a great series but not too keen on the anagrams round personally, doesn't real require much skill. You either have that sort of brain or you don't, not sure if others agree?

I know I'm late to this video but the way oaks worded the first question was horrendous. He said international player as if English players aren't international. Rice and kane played for the international team so therefore they are internationals. He should have described them as foreign players

B. Personally, the questions being this hard makes it less fun to watch and play along
They weren’t that hard tbh
The last episodes have been so good, but this one was horror. The issues with the questions, as well as clarifications missing, and a lot of the answers were very under researched, the whole episode needs to be redone. Club questions need to come back too, Andy gets the advantage of time to research because he wins. In “king” style games, where the winner stays on, you usually have some sort of advantage for the king.

Some of the questions so far have been shocking that first one the way you worded it made absolutely no sense at all and also the Haaland answer given for the hatricks was correct you said it was wrong and also the Gundogan answer was incorrect that was thwe fastest goal in fa cup FINAL history not the fastest goal in FA CUP history that was Jimmy Kebe after 9 seconds and that list you read out of transfers over 100m nore than half of them were under 100m come on surely you should have all possible correct answers wrote down in front of you and actually put some effort into the series and do a bit of research. Series is a good idea if you can get it right.
Great concept, but half your questions aren’t right or you have the wrong answer. How hard is it to look on Wikipedia and get your facts straight.

It technically is wigan because they were already relegated when they won it
They were still a Premier League club though, you don't change league until the season is over. Relegation being confirmed just means that you will be in the lower division the following season, not that you are already in that division 😉
Not that difficult to hold your hand up and accept the mistake Oaks when both your guests said they didn't quite understand the question. I felt you were too defensive and stubborn. Not a great look. It was actually a good question but the wording was 100% confusing.
