The Ruppster brought the drums and didn't even have to transport them up the hill. Just brought his cute face and powerful lungs. 😂
Love how Home Free allows others to be center stage. Texas Hill has been the opening act for the latest round of Home Free's tour. Before the pandemic Jeffrey East was their opening act and both got to do collaborations with Home Free. Even directly after the SingOff, Home Free did Zombies vs Hillbillies with VoicePlay to help promote their friends. Great 😃 guys.
I have loved PTX for years, since before the sing-off. But since discovering HF this year I have begun watching HF more and PTX less. There is something more approachable about HF that appeals to me. Saucey Dad, you need to react to When A Man Loves A Woman. It will blow you away.
That’s the word I wanted rite there Diane, approachable!!
I had discovered PTX before HF as well, and while I still respect PTX's incredible talent, I definitely started preferring HF to PTX very quickly after discovering HF. Personally, I prefer all HF's individual voices to PTX's, I prefer their overall blend and sound, their arrangements, the music they cover and create, and also their humour and personalities.
@@Husitka you covered it all. That’s what I love about “the boys”!!
Gonna go see them in Shreveport tomorrow. Love your reactions!
So Austin and Tim sing " My Maria " in Austin's backyard with a bass, a guitar and a keyboard. Beautiful go check that one out, plus at the end of that video is surprise for You‼️. Go check it out! You really want to hear what Austin and Tim offer. 😳😳😳
I have tickets to see Home Free this Thursday (yes, in TWO days) and Texas Hill will be with them. Really hoping they perform this one! BTW, if you want to hear a little more of them with instruments, check out "My Maria". It's not actually Home Free - but it's Austin & Tim along with a couple of friends on keyboards, guitar, & bass guitar. It was shot in Austin's backyard on his deck. Tim shows off some more of his range too!
Ann, that’s awesome, have an amazing time! I go see them for the first time in February and I am so excited! Enjoy every minute 🤗❤️
Have a great time, Ann. I saw them in October in Waukegan but sadly there was no opening act. Regardless, they were awesome.
Austin Brown has his own channel. He sings with friends non acapella. Adam Chance and Tim Foust have their own channel too. All of them are extremely talented.
One of my favorite non acapella songs is one Tim and Austin did on Austin's channel called "My Maria" . That is sdefinitely worth checking out. These Texas Hill gentlemen are all from different music reality TV shows some won some didnt but Tim.saw them play and loved their sound and this collab was born. I think Home Free could do anything and sound fabulous. We know they're acapella and I love that sound but I'm not against hearing great music like this. They can sing anything.
Home Free : Do You Hear What I Hear. Please, please please!
Austin was right at home singing gospel since he grew up sing it. With the combination of his training in musical theatre mixed with southern gospel makes him a beast
Absolutely beautiful! Texas Hill is 3 guys from different singing competitions! Craig Wayne Boyd (1st singer) won season 7 of the Voice...Adam Wakefield (piano) runner up season 10 of the Voice....and Casey James (guitar) 3rd place season 9 of American Idol! They've been together about 1-1/2 yrs. I've seen the BTS for this and all 8 guys got along so well...no problems! Home Free guys are just the most down home bunch you will ever find! I say they are 5 brothers from other mothers!
They cover such a range of styles. Try their brilliant cover of End of the Road (Rob being as soulful as I've heard him) or their video of the OJays classic Love Train (those boys can MOVE!).
Also in the run up to Christmas I'm going to keep on trying to get you to react to Adam Rupps arrangement of Do You Hear What I Hear - the video is just extraordinary.
Great reaction, Saucey! Btw, you should check out Home Free's cover of "Born in the USA" - Chance plays guitar throughout that one. :)
And frankly, it's YOUR channel. If you want to react to videos with accompanying instruments, DO IT. I will keep coming back, because you, Saucey Sir, are awesome and I love your reactions!
Thank you so much for that Kristy, I really appreciate it!!! ❤️
Wow! That is so awesome, love a Home Free collaboration.
It is Dec so requesting Full of cheer...funny, written by Tim as follow up to Champagne taste on a beer budget
So, the lead off singer is Craig Wayne Boyd, and he was a season winner on the The Voice, and guitarist is Casey James, who came in 2nd or 3rd on American idol. They somehow found each other years later and created the trio group Texas Hill about a year or so ago, and they sound great. They will be appearing at the Grand Ole Opry for the first time in January. Both bands appeared together on stage singing Dreamer, a HF original in Cheyenne, Wy. recently, and then they filmed this also in Cheyenne. Then they just finished doing 2 more shows together this past week.
This was filmed in Wyoming when they were there....a month ago I believe.
Home Free is always so welcoming to other singers. I think it is because when they really got going after the sing off, they did collabs with Alabama, Kenny Rogers and the Oak Ridge Boys. Sort of like they got a little boost when they after they won and now, they are doing the same. At least that's what my head canon is on that!
As for new releases...Tim has a solo record due out any day now...doing the old Doo Wop songs. He said on his Facebook that it should be out by Christmas! 😉
Texas Hill has been Home Free's opening act on their current tour.
Thanks "Saucey Bosse" for reacting to this!👍 I suggested this yesterday & here it is! YEA! I loved it as soon as I heard it!😍 As for the Home Free, VoicePlay, PTX "rotation", I was first introduced to PTX, but as soon as I heard Home Free (Man of Constant Sorrow), I never looked back. Yes, I know the other 2 a cappella groups are super talented, but they just do NOT have the "IT Factor" for me. The HF guys just seem friendlier & more accessible! I liked PTX when Avi was with them, but since he's gone, VoicePlay is my 2nd choice after HF & they're not even close!
All of Home Frees Christmas music is so good. Great reaction
This is so amazing Saucey. I sang this all my life - I grew up Southern Baptist (yes amen Glory Hallelujah) and in order to marry Liza (my late wife) my future father-in-law insisted I become Orthodox as they were Greeks) but I remember every Christmas Eve at Candlelight Service we would sing this old Southern Gospel song ay church !!! So I'm well aware of this one & how important it is to southern Evangelical Christians. This song is part of the Southern Christmas culture.
That’s awesome stuff Kevin, thanks so much for the mini culture lesson!!
@@SauceyDad you're welcome sir !!
@@miamidolphinsfan this modern gospel is so moving! Hoping modern audiences connect with the words as well as music!!
@@rosemary702001 well it's from the 19th century I believe...I was born in 1960, and we were singing this in church when I was a kid.
@@miamidolphinsfan oh yes, the song is quite old and I’ve sung it in church too. I just really enjoy the modern beat to it. Gospel in the 70s wasn’t as catchy (for me anyway) but this has a joyful noise I can appreciate! Of course, I’m a Home Fry as well. They are the best.
Thank you so much for reacting to this song. Absolutely love this one. Texas Hill are really good. After seeing Home Free and Texas Hill, I looked them up and they have some good music out there. Love the way they worked together. There is an interview with Austin and the Texas Hill guys...just in case you are interested. Doesn't have to be a reaction but I think you would like to see it on your own...Everything Nash Exclusive Interview with Home Free and Texas Hill...also one with Austin and Tim...Everything Nash Exclusive Interview with Austin Brown and Tim Foust...both of them are really interesting. Just a thought. Thanks again.
If you watch some of there individual channel stuff you get to here them over instruments more! Tim did a version of cant help falling in love where he also plays the piano (unfortunately there is no video as it is from before his home free days). Austin also does alot of solo covers with friends! He did one somewhat recently with Tim. Would love to see you check some of that out! For voiceplay tomorrow a few suggestions are “oogie boogie song” , “queen in 5 minutes” , “hoist the colours “ or “were good” ! Although really anything from them is amazing.
Edit: I would also love to see the little mermaid medley!
Home Free, Tim especially, is very proactive at seeking out up and coming artists and promoting them. If you follow Tim on Twitter, he's frequently recommending folks. They're all about cooperation and collaboration rather than competition.
Tim went to a Texas Hill concert because, well, Texas, and talked to them afterwards about collaborating.
The gent in the white hat down at the end won The Voice a few seasons back. He's very good, and I LOVE the pianist. He reminds me of a great-aunt of mine who played the honky-tonk fancy piano when I was a kid.
Everyone can be a fan of everything, if they give it a chance and take the time to explore their options.
Enjoyed this reaction, just as much as the others. This one was definitely different but very enjoyable.
Talk about tinkling ivory! And pluckin' them golden strings!
It sounds like Southern Gospel to me.
Home Free is definitely my favorite. My voiceplay request is the little mermaid, it's amazing.
There is NOTHING these men can't sing. They sound so good with accompaniment, but a capella - damn - they're magnificent.
Check out Tim and Austin doing My Maria.
You really need to look at Blue Ain’t Your Color for a little MOTOWN vibe they are sooo good 😍
Hey Saucey Dad! I think you would also enjoy Tim Foust on the piano in the audio of
"CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE WITH YOU"
" I'VE SEEN" an original &
" YOU'RE SO YESTERDAY" Also
an original
AUSTIN BROWN in his song and playing piano in
"IF I MET YOU NOW " it has his lovely Amberly in it.
&
"EARN IT" an original
" TEAR'S IN HEAVEN" cover of Eric Clapton
Adam Chance in his original
" SONG FOR HOME "&
ADAM CHANCE in a cover of
" DRIVER'S LICENSE by Olivia Rodrigo
" HURT" cover of Johnny Cash
and performed by Adam and The Hound and The Fox
Thanks again Saucey Dad! I really appreciate it and all that you do! Love from South Georgia!♥️😀🍟
Great songwriter's as well as singer's!
This was awesome...Please Please listen to Folsom Prison Blues and also When A Man Loves A Woman. All of their music is phenomenal but those 2 in particular are INCREDIBLE. DO YOUR EARS A FAVOR AND LISTEN TO THEM.. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Since you are going to do Voice Play tomorrow you should check their collaboration with Home Free in Zombies vs Hillbillis!
I love that Tim is totally bundled up and some of the other guys have on just a shirt. Must be under 60 degrees.
I love the bass that Tim and Chance are adding to this‼️🥰
That’s a lot of EAR and EYE candy 😉🥰
There's no better way to start a morning than with some Home Free and you! This one made me feel happy 💕
This was the best version I have ever heard
I agree one hundred percent it's personality + voices that's the key! I like all the other groups but for me these boys, HF are in my heart, family!
Texas hill is comprised of fellow music contestants from The Voice and American Idol. I think this is a day or 2 before Rob fell sick with Covid. I'm glad your having such a great time with the guys. I've watched them and been a Home Fry since I saw them on The Sing Off.
This has never been one of my favorite songs, but this was so fun! I was smiling the whole time :)
VoicePlay request - Hoist the Colours
I relate to you so much because I am not a country music fan, but when home free touches things, I am in love!!!
I love the song and what can I say, they just killer as per usual, and Texas Hill did great too
Home Free collaborations are the BEST! Just in case you don't know already, they've collaborated with quite a few artists over the years beginning with VoicePlay on the song Survivor many years ago. Definitely worth a watch. It's funny. Other artists are country and gospel legends The Oak Ridge Boys, country legends Alabama as well as Kenny Rogers. Also Rachel Wammack, Striking Matches (an electric guitar duo), and Jeffrey East (amazing singer-songwriter). And actually all of these mentioned on Christmas songs, and some on regular songs. They also collaborated with Don McLean on his song American Pie, and it was the second studio recording he did of the song, 50 years after the first recording. They also performed it live on Hollywood Walk of Fame when Don's star was relieved, apparently it's not a thing to have other artists song your song at that event, but the same way Home Free is allowing newer artists to shine, so have these more established artists highlighted Home Free. It's beautiful and heartwarming. Other artists are Charlie Daniels on his song The Devil Went Down to Georgia, there's no video of it, though. It has double fiddles, btw. And there's another violinist, female, who's name has slipped my mind, that is also on that song and on their first version of Silent Night.
Oh, and there's already another song recorded with these gents, a rendition of Home Free's original (not written by Home Free) song Dreamer. It's a really good song. I recommend you react to their version before they release the Collab.
Don't worry, you won't run out of Home Free songs to react to. 😁
I actually came across a PTX a year or so before I came across Home Free. I thought it was so cool, but looking up their other stuff I wasn't feeling it. I still don't feel their music. Not sure why, they are obviously super talented, but it just doesn't speak to my heart and soul. VoicePlay have been impressing me so much lately, but I'm not always a fan of their arrangements and their features so I love some of what they've done, especially this year, but far from everything. Home Free, though, they always reach my heart, and they have never left after that first time more than 7 years ago when I first heard them.
Thanks for the reaction! 🥰🙏
It's a beautiful spiritual! Amen brothers
I barely remember hearing Texas Hills name. Never heard them sing. This was great!
What I like about Home Free as opposed to the other a capella groups is the warmth their voices bring...and the genuine emotion they infuse into their songs.
HOME FREE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!! 😁😍🎄🎶🎶🎶🎅
Great reaction! (as usual) So glad I didn't have to wait to see how you liked it! Texas Hill sometimes opens for Home Free, they have some great original songs here on CZcams. Another BIG reason I love Home Free is their willingness showcase other talented artists that we might never have heard of. Thank you again, love your channel!
Thank you Marcia!!
The 3 "new" guys are Texas Hill. They have been opening for HF in several shows. The blonde wearing the cowboy hat is Craig Wayne Boyd. He won The Voice several years ago (from my hometown of Mesquite, TX). Look for more collaborations in the future.
I listened to Craig Wayne Boyd's blind audition from the Voice today - and wow. 2014. Very cool. And the other two fellows - one was in the Voice - one on American Idol. A really talented group!
Texas Hill is the opening act for recent Home Free concerts. I love the jazzy best and the harmonies backing up that lead singer. Never thought I’d say that about this particular carol/hymn. Well done. Very occasionally there are some instruments in the mix and still the songs are uniquely Home Free. You should hear Chance’s guitar in “Born in the USA”. Thanks for your reaction
There is something to be said about the character of a person. And the more you watch and listen to these men, the more you come to realize it's not just their music and their talent that gives them a great following but it is their character showing through. This was wonderful both from the stand point of the music and the point of watching the true friendship and comradery that shows in the video. Also, you are doing great. Keep going, there is a lot more you just haven't found yet.
It would be amazing if you could get an interview with one of the guys! 😳 lol.
Now that’s what I’m talking about!!! #LifeGoals 🤣
Love this collaboration
You should check out some of the Christmas stuff they did last year my favorites are snowglobe you will love this one cause it really shows Tim off well, beautiful star of Bethlehem with the oak ridge boys really shows off Austin's gospel music background it was my grandma's favorite Christmas song so it holds a special place in my heart anyways, cold hard cash was amazing, Christmas in Dixie with Alabama was very good too and the last one (sorry it's so long lol) is Tennessee Christmas!
Yes. This Southern (South Carolina) girl has heard this song many times in Southern Baptist Church.
Purely INCREDIBLE
Had to come back and watch it again ❣️
Not sure how I missed this a year ago. Great song, great reaction!
I love this sort of country gospel with a side of soul. I’m very impressed with Texas Hill and just subscribed to their channel. Home Free is so classy to feature them.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching your reaction. You have a very expressive face.
Love your reaction...... You freaking crack me up... Your great.. Thanks for the laughs.. I feel the same way about Pentatonix that you feel about Home Free..
Nice to get in early SD. Great song 👍🏼
Now that you are hearing a bit of Christmas, you have to hear, (Do You Hear What I hear.) and (Oh Holy Night) from the guys. There is a bunch more also.
I will be seeing both of these groups this Thursday the 2nd!! Texas Hill consists of first solo singer Craig Wayne Boyd who won the Voice, guitar Casey James, 3rd place on American Idol and piano Adam Wakefield 2nd place on the Voice. Check them out they have a CZcams channel.
This takes me back to Sunday School we always sung this at X=mas time
Hey man!!! Love your "sauceyness" - Keep up the great reactions... I get to see the guys this Friday and hope Texas Hill shows up as well.
You'll have to check out their channel as well - they are simply over the top talented.
This was just a PRIMO collab - Kudos for Home Free to reach out and embrace other newer artists and give them top billing...the are a model of unselfishness and you can tell it by how many people love these "blue collar guys" that you'd just love to hang with and have a beer or two or.....LOL!
You've just scratched the surface with these guys and the more you scratch - the more gold you'll strike with Home Free and now Texas Hill...
RichieC (Atlanta)
Lol, you nailed it…I think there are a LOT of country fans walking around out there that are totally unaware of the fact!
This is a great arrangement, thanks for your reaction!
Watch Home Free singing Born in the USA next....
Not a fan of Country music but if it's Home Free.....I like country.
This was a bit more country for my taste but I love that they give these guys center stage.
The guys with Home Free are Texas Hill.. The guy without the guitar is Craig Wayne Boyd who won The Voice tv show.. Casey James played the guitar and he was on American Idol tv show... Adam Wakefield is the pianist but I don't know much about him... It's a lively tune..
Everything the do is AMAZING
Absolutely terrific!!!
Really like Texas Hill ... and Home Free was amazing as usual !!
Watched it within minutes of the video release and loved it enough to add Texas Hill to my spotify. Can't wait to play more of their music. Thanks for the video! x
On Tim’s channel you can see him playing piano on some songs. On Adam Chance’s channel you will see him playing guitar. Austin plays piano and I think guitar. You may see that on his channel. Somewhere there is a clip of Adam Rupp playing trumpet in a live show. Go forth and google 🥰🔥
Ah, Tim and Austin do mighty fine guitars, great reaction thank you! You rolling into their holiday music, hold on to your socks!
So, an honest question. How long do you think we have until Adam can sound like a piano? Remember a piano is a percussion instrument.
LOVE!
If you really wanna see Voiceplay in the early days, Phantom of the opera was one their first theatre pieces. It's aged really well for how old it is. Definitely worth a watch
Noted Kolbe!!
It was their first bigger budget productions. It was also their first attempt at using CZcams as a platform outside of Patreon which I think just started at the time. 🤔 interesting....
Loved your reaction!
Thank you Kathy!!
Home free is the best thing out there, Bar none!!!!!!!
Going into this Christmas season this is on top of my Christmas playlist.
Always a fan of your reactions!!! Holidays are approaching and think you should listen to some of their Xmas songs. Full of Cheer, Grandma got ran over by a Reindeer. And Do you Hear What I Hear to name a few
The guy in the hat won the Voice
Oh and this song is FIRE...
Two of the Texas Hill guys competed on The Voice, and one (guitarist I think) was on American Idol so they can SANG,,,
They also dropped Mary Did You Know.
Love your reactions. Note that Home Free is dropping a video tomorrow Mary did you know. I can’t wait!!
I went to church!😮😮😮❤❤❤
Ok gonna say again!!! Lol!! go rest high on that mountain!!! Then American pie, god bless the USA, how great thou art! Most important go rest high on that mountain!! Love you!!!
It's a bop!!!!
Home Free's other song with guitar is their cover of Born In The USA, but if you really want to be even more impressed by Adam Rupp, try their American Pie, video that they filmed with Don McLean for the 50th anniversary of the song. Adam beat boxes for like 8 minutes straight! I feel like Tim was really cold in this video. Looks more like a blanket around his neck, instead of a scarf. But they sounded incredible!
Tim and Austin -- My Maria
To add to your a cappella - Peter Hollens, he has collaborated with Home Free, Tim Faust, Voice Play, Geoff Castellucci, and has some disney mashups your daughters would probably love.
I wholeheartedly agree on Peter Hollens. His Christmas originals are spectacular!
Ohhhhhh Mr. Saucy... this is absolutely fabulous & I'm so happy you love it. I've been watching & listening all day!
Try "Beautiful star of Bethlehem", with oak ridge boys & Jeffrey East.
Pleeeaaassseee! You'll love it! ❤
Boy, that was great. Never heard of Texas Hill - they’re very good. Loved Tim’s solo and the other boys too. I’m sure they could have taken over but it was the other group’s song. So well done. Tim was the most bundled up….he hates the cold. : ) Good reaction SD!
Holy Home Hill! That one gave me gospel goosebumps and I'm a Godless heathen! Good job Sauce, way to git after a fresh drop. The a cappella rotation concept is genius. But don't forget to mine Tim, Austin, and Chance's channels, Peter Hollens too. Oh this is gonna be good!
Loved it! Great reaction ❤
Thank you Ruth!!! ❤️❤️
@@SauceyDad 🤗
SauceyDad you are great, let me tell you. you became my favourite reactor since your first home free reaction and since then i am looking all your videos. I cant say i am one of the oldest subscriber but when i join your a cappella trip i see your channel growing really fast and i am happy for you. keep your great work and you will reach soon huge subs ammount. love frome switzerland ( and sorry for my terrible english XD )
Love your reactions. If you like Tim here check out their version of "Mary, Did you Know" that was just released. And there isn't anything wrong with having a favorite. I enjoy many different groups but Home Free just resonates with me.
Hoist the colors! Voice play!😍
