Like you Keith, I hadn't done KFC for donkey's years and decided to get a delivery about 3 months back. I used to prefer KFC to McDonald's and Burger King because their fries were better, more like chips and their gravy was banging. This time around the fries were nothing like they used to be and the portion size was extremely small. Plus KFC gravy ain't KFC gravy anymore, they've changed it and it's just bang average. I won't be doing KFC again ...
Keith you got a zinger burger meal for Nat, which is the spicy burger not original. You also got a trilogy box meal which also had a zinger burger in it too, that’s why you both can’t taste the ‘origional recipe’ flavour from them 😊 I would suggest going back to try the original recipe chicken but as you said it’s so expense now that it probably wouldn’t be worth it

Rubbery chicken indicates it’s been way over cooked. KFC is far too expensive. It’ll be cheaper to buy an organic bird from the butcher and get them to quarter it and make your own seasoning (and you’ll do a much better job). Looking forward to that episode😊
If you after a meal with an abundance of chips, get yourself over to a five guys 😂😂

KFC has gone way up in price now but the buckets are probably better value than buying burger meals like that
Always wash your hands after touching those screens seen so many people sneeze and cough and pick there arses while using them then you go and eat your food

KFC varies drastically from franchise to franchise- probably an army of new staff probably doesnt help (probably explains the long prep time too) it used to be good value but the past 2 years its exploded in price

I only go now and then but I have the boneless banquet and it's always delicious. I've tried the zinger burger and thought it was dry x
Disappointing . Not a lot for the money. What were the krushems like? I think I saw them in the background, looked tiny.
Usually go for a zinger meal with a couple pieces of original chicken and the must have gravy.
KFC has proper gone downhill in the past few years, Both the closest ones where i live are really crap, Stale buns, Overcooked chicken etc..and of course the portion size is a joke.

I would never buy a gimmicky meal as I call it from KFC. I go about 2-3 times a year and its always a 10 piece bargain bucket which is about £18 or so and I ask for 7 thigh pieces and 3 leg pieces and I can get 3 -4 meals out of it. Always tastes good and hits the spot. I felt disappointed for you when I saw your meals. Hope you can try it again after giving them some feedback.

@@JonPaul1953 Unfortunately mine never make it to the freezer- just too damn tasty! You can bag them up in batches and freeze. I tend to use the air fryer to heat mine - I always bake on a low setting ( cake setting or similar) for about 5 mins cold from the fridge and they come out hot and crispy with soft fall apart chicken on the inside.

Dude,sounds like they microwaved the chicken to cut corners,Gordon Ramsey has cussed out restaurants for that.
KFC use to be brilliant years ago, great chicken, fries and gravy. Now it has become a total waste of money, expensive crap. Why change a winning recipe for cheap crap, but charge your customers a lot more??? I am surprised it's still in business.

But if you say it's been 20 years since your last KFC haul, then you haven't kept up with the times and their changes adapting to them.
KFC in Australia, aka 'The Dirty Bird' isn't so bad, infact they are McDonald's biggest competitor bang for buck...errr muck and were my favoured until I became gluten free.
Now I don't go near the place but have to put up with the aroma as the store is only 4 doors down the road.
Next time make your own. The 11 secret herbs n spices recipe is online and is very close to the original recipe in taste and flavour. But if you miss an ingredient, don't expect the experience to be a good one.

KFC chips were always poor , soggy and almost always cold and under seasoned. The problem I think with KFC is you get a shitty run franchise one it's game over for your chicken dinner 😢
I wouldn't have stuff from that place if someone else was paying but I suppose they do a good job in keeping the stray cat population under control. 🤮🤮🤮

I cook most days but, maybe once a month, only the Colonel's will do. None of the frisky stuff, just the buckets of chicken, hot wings, fries and drinks. Prices have gone a bit daft but it's always good, and hits the spot mate👍
yeah i with u on that kfc is not about quality but get the punters in and out and take money .. ive had a few in the last year and totally very disappointing. even cold chips and greasy chicken and dry

Went for a KFC in Kettering last night, next to a cinema I was visiting. No self-service points so had to queue to wait for someone to open a till. Unfortunately they were prioritising drive-through and delivery drivers, so walked out after 5 mins without a hint of anyone in the queue being able to be served. Never again!
You know wot KFC also Macdonalds are crap ...because you can cook and more healthy

KFC is rank. The wife and I got a meal each from Braehead nr Glasgow. The place was dirty and dusty. Unclean tables
The burgers tasted horrible. Hot in temp. But were ill for a couple of days. Never again.
Not bad for £10, but I would be more happier if it was eight £8.95
U didnt get the tower burger u just got the zinger burger the tower has a hash brown in the burger aswel n makes a big difference but i dnt ever get kfc unless someone else is paying haha just think of all the food u culdve got with that money x

Once burned, twice shy. I haven't been to a KFC for about 30 years. I was tired of the greasy food, but the only thing was the texture and the delicious smell that kept me coming back, and eventually that lost its appeal too.

I used to love it when it was Kentucky fried chicken. Since it became kfc and the company yum took over it’s gone to pots. Bloody awful food that they churn out now
KFC fries are always small portions, hardly ever have KFC and never been impressed.
The boneless banquet box is about the best thing ive had from kfc, and thats gone up £3.50 to £10 recently.

27 quid is ridiculous for what you got, the chips havd always been rubbish but heard they have started seasoning them but still small portions , probably the chicken buckets

In the 80’s one of my favourites was bbq ribs I’ve no idea they stopped selling them. I have noticed the fillets of chicken kfc use now in their burgers are nowhere near as thick as they used to be and as you said “the seasoning is not what it was”

I agree with you on the secret seasoning, its tasteless, the coating is a crunchy texture, and adds no taste what so ever.
I never eat KFC now most high street have way better chicken and chips shop that independent from chains and taste a million times better
I would go down and complain you will probably get a replacement meal, I had one delivered and there were items missing I rang them and they gave me a credit for the cost and when I went in they had a book with I presume were orders they had credited it was pretty full ! lol 🙂

Kfc... severely overpriced. the floors u always very greasy when you go in. the chips are raw. The popcorn is usualy nice but you don't get much. Last time I got KFC the chicken strips were really chewy like plastic.

yes we have a few Dixy Chicken shops around our area fillet burger fries and a drink £3.89 befor everything shot up in price it was about £2.49 I think KFC is over priced

Keith, Nat If you ring them within 7 days with your recipient number they are obliged to offer a like for like order nats chips are half the the regular size portion and burger is below average expectation for what they advertise and charge . Hold them to account for what they are charging and demand better its the only way standards will change within the top 3 fast food chains.

kfc to me was very over rated when i tried it, too much spice and over cooked

I'm not 'Mr KFC' or anything Keith, but go back another time for two pieces of Original Chicken - That is as moist and as tasty as it always was.
Of course, it's chinese owned...
U.K. KFC is really different because fries are not my first choice when I can get mash gravy, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, sweet corn, or green beans and a biscuit with butter and honey ❤️😂
They do have mash and coleslaw and corn on the cob in the UK you can choose it as a side but they don't have mac and cheese or biscuits
Different times. 20 years ago you felt kfc was a nice treat leaving you nice and content with the meal leaving you full. Things are supposed to improve with time. Unfortunately kfc gone major downhill and surely out of business soon in UK as loads of competitors much tastier and better value for money. Shame really 🙃

You should be a food critic you check out some great places 👍🏻KFC McDonald’s Wetherspoons & the local cafes etc , you would put Glynn Purnell to shame ( he’s a chef ) you should see what you think of his food one day 👍🏻 if no good there is a McDonald’s not far from there so you won’t be disappointed 👍🏻
