The difference between Loma and Pac.
Loma wouldn’t want to go up 5-10 lbs from his natural weight to fight the best. Pac went up from 112-154 lbs and fought everyone and anyone. There’s levels to this shit.

This is why Loma will never be a legend like Pacquiao. He doesn’t have the same fighting heart as Pacquiao. Pac is probably a natural 135er, and maybe a 140er at best but he stays at 147 because that’s where the monsters are. Pac is willing to fight the biggest and meanest monsters at 147. This is coming from a guy who thinks Loma is technically more skilled than Pac.

You can tell he has a lot of respect for the Pac-Man. He wants to fight the legend, not thinking he’ll win, but knowing it’ll be a big accomplishment, win or lose.
6 years later and I saw this again... I really miss Loma in his prime (yes I know he's still great today), but what I meant is when he was still in the top 5 and expectations from him are lots... Today, the new era took over wherein we expect Davis, Shakur, Zepeda, etc to dominate the division and Haney to go 140lb against Prograis... It's sad to see greats like Loma slip out on our mind as time passes by, I hope that appeal to be Mandatory again after his controversial loss to Haney has something to bring in the future. He's on his way out now and I hope he still manage to fight like a beast one last time before he hangs it up. I thought he pulled that 'one last breath' against Haney but he lost.

I don't see the point in that fight at this stage, there's no way a guy who's been fighting at 147 for the better part of a decade can go down 12 pounds and not be drained (even if he does say his natural weight is 140). Floyd is not always just defence, like he did good work on Canelo, but when he is faced with a superioir offensive fighter then he will not take any risks or really commit to his punches and will be 100% defense which makes for a boring fight
