If you are born in St. Louis you are raised to love Imo's pizza, gooey butter cake, Anheuser-Busch beer, Blues hockey and Cardinals baseball. This man is what truly made me fall in love with the sport. He helped bring the Cards 2 rings on that unstoppable 2006 team and the amazing miracle that that 2011 team had. It has been a true blessing to watch this man become one of the best hitters this sport has ever seen! .300 hitter, 600 hr club, 3,000 hit club, 3rd person in the history of baseball to get 2,000 RBIs, 6 time silver slugger, 3 time MVP. No doubt hall of famer and will be guaranteed to have his number retired by the St. Louis Cardinals! Can't wait for that day to come

Ryan Howard has 58 149 Pujols 49 137 but Pujols has ZERO help next closest Card was Rolen w 22 95- Phillies had Utley and Rollins have MONSTER years and ALL 3 Phillies combined didn’t even make the WC - meanwhile Stl won the WS!!! Pujols ALSO lead ALL of MLB in HRs n RBIs that yr until he went on 15 day DL in July? Guy was .331 49 137 n WS champ with NO HELP!!! He also lost one to Votto and beat Votto is every category but one- He in reality should have 5 not including Bonds.

Pujols was a fantastic player, but I think he's underrated because he's not fancy. He is about to retire, but I hope he can play a little more.

More RBIs than Babe Ruth, only Hank Aaron ahead of him....4th player to hit 700 home runs and he hit 703, 11 shy of Babe Ruth 3rd all time in extra base hits behind Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds....10th all time in hits....5th all time in doubles....What could have been if we didn't have that dumb 60 game COVID season....and if instead it was a full season with actual live people in the stands.....He is really fun to watch play the game....and when he connects for a home run it sure is loud and thunderous ....I know everybody at some point has to retire but it's sad....He was really rejuvenated being back with the Cardinals.... Hopefully he pulls a Tom Brady and changes his mind and decides to play next season!
