This man is what truly made me fall in love with the sport. He helped bring the Cards 2 rings on that unstoppable 2006 team and the amazing miracle that that 2011 team had. It has been a true blessing to watch this man become one of the best hitters this sport has ever seen! .300 hitter, 600 hr club, 3,000 hit club, 3rd person in the history of baseball to get 2,000 RBIs, 6 time silver slugger, 3 time MVP. No doubt hall of famer and will be guaranteed to have his number retired by the St. Louis Cardinals! Can't wait for that day to come

It's sad that many are knocking this legendary player. Injuries and age have somewhat caught up with him... But he missed probably most of two seasons with the Angels. If he hadn't imagine the records that would be shattered. My hope is that when his Angels contact is up he will be resigned by St. Louis so he can officially retire a Cardinal. He's a consistent productive quality player and thats to his advantage.
