How can you do a tip or trick on disabled comments on Etsy?
hi i'm from india ...... my view about your point #1 is etsy as a marketplace wants to join as many seller as and sets its algorithms to give a boost to new shop.....so the shops with having sales history will not get monopoly ......... your point is absolute correct and i also noticed with my shop also regularly posting or live the listing giving you views and impressions
I started etsy 2 months ago now I am making 4/5 sales per day without ads……….tips for new sellers ( go for trends with low competition)
I want to make a profit, even if it is small. How can I do good business selling digital products? can you help me.
How can i find trends ?
I did keyword research for a whole day nothing came up 😭😭 everything I want to do is very saturated so I started with ads

For those comments about "you said to do this...now you're saying to not do this...". This advice is here for strategy adjustments. If a tactic is working for you then disregard, however, if what you tried is not working then make adjustments. It's called a marketing strategy. It is meant to be fluid.
Everything you get off of youtube is meant to be used as a tool to help you succeed. It's free advice for you to use at your own discretion. No need to flame the guy.
Hmmm, Etsy is a Complexing business model. Etsy sellers sell so cheaply, it is like they don't value their Creativity, labor, and time.
Hey Scott! Thanks for the tips and direction! This is exactly where I'm at right now, I have some cool, high quality designs that I created, clean mock ups, well written descriptions, store layout etc., and I'm seeing nothing happen. It's still early of course, but I wanted to find out what I'm doing wrong, so I'm glad I checked out this video. I'm just about to hop onto the video you linked for the 5 minute hack. See you there and thanks again man!!
How to find trends?
Thank you for this valuable content. I followed your video immediately, did what you said, and within 10 minutes I had 2 sales! What you are teaching really works!!
I just started my Etsy store this year. It is slow to start but sales on Etsy are highest during Q4 so my mental state is that I'm getting the store ready to be in a strong position for Q4.
Hello there, My name is Dean and I work as a freela'ncer on fiver and etsy consultants, I can help you with advance SEO optimization to your products. Will you like to optimize your? ❤
I found these kind of comments, being more useful than this video ! 🙂
how much more sales during Q4? 3x normal sales?
That's where I'm at too I'm just going to start focusing on fall and winter sales and just being ready for that!
Q4 is the holiday season. Christmas and so on. ❤
You're stating that Etsy keeps sending traffic to shops with a history of good sales. Unfortunately, this is bogus. The forums are flooded with long time and very successful sellers whom seeing their income, sales and views plummeting from one day to the other without having changed one single thing in their stores. There is no secret to success or a 'secret formula' with Etsy, unfortunately. The platform is proving itself more and more unreliable, partly because of the overload of re-sellers these days. Cheers.

Thanks, some great advice here, concisely delivered!
Glad it was helpful!
How do you know what products to search for ? I have everbee but I can’t think of products to search for. Where are you getting what to search for?
I started an Etsy shop and got sales in the first month with the help of your videos. Thank you sir. 💯🔥

Your videos are sooo valuable, thank you!

Hello Scott, thanks for the advice as always. My shop is almost 4 months old and just sold 2 items, researched niches, search for keywords with search volume and kind of low competition, try my best in having great mock-ups but I felt that even I try be good in all this, actually almost no views and sure no sales. So you are right Etsy really push certain shops to page 1. You recommend low sales items, but if they don't sell much is not a reflection that people don't look for those?
I needed this video
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching :-)
This makes sense

Bella Canvas 3001 t-shirt on Printify, shipping 1st item on printify its says 4,75$ but on etsy its says 5,38$ whats going on? why the prices are different can smbdy answer this ? Retail price on Printify is 18,65 but on etsy is 25,57 .. what in the hell is happening ?
What analytics names do you suggest for for research?
Quality Dude!
Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed it 😀
Being original is a good way to stand out, too. That's something that the common advice to copy other shop's products tends to ignore.
People are copycat herd mentality is why . masses buy a product. Reason trends even exist. Very few care about original. That's how lol it is
How exactly do you achieve that, please? New product design, or new description or what?

I agree. I find Etsy seller sell their products really cheap, it is like they don't value their creativity, labor, and time. They devalue their work..

I AM A MONTH OLD. I was thinking this idea about competition. thx.
I think this is a good video if your not good with traffic, if you rely on Etsy to do all the selling for you, you have to show Etsy some results so if you have nothing to offer Etsy they won’t give you sales, but you can sell anything no matter how competitive if you know how to drive traffic directly to your offer
And how is this done ?
@@lisaratahi1831 there’s lots of ways to do marketing I can’t only give u one specific way

what are the examples of low competition products?
What I didn't understand is that people join Esty and then decide what they want to sell based on market research,. I thought people came to Etsy to sell their personal art that they already love. and are actively doing. Seems Etsy is more of a platform for marketing opportunists, not real artists. I'm trying to sell my art that I would be doing anyway. I'm not picking some product I have no interest in making just to fill out a niche. Perhaps I picked the wrong platform to sell.
I see where you are coming from for sure. But, you still need to create products that people are searching for on the platform.
Great Advise I just started my candle business , made 20 sales so far still kinda small , but I'm keep creating more products , and I just discover this bee program witch is I lot of help , thank you
I’ve been selling on Etsy for just over one year now, every item I sell is unique and requires its own listing. So I don’t feel I will ever have the opportunity to reach best seller on homepage ect as once a listing is purchased it’s gone. Due to the products I sell. Things are by no means bad, but I want to still do better.
Thanks for sharing!! Yes that’s where creating pod products makes it easier in the long run.
Well, this strategy might be for virtual products, though with 50% sales, we lose money, ...between the low mark up, the taxes, Etsy % age fees...we spend, Etsy earn...i have a question, why are the mock up making more sales than the t shirt on Etsy now? Because of all the dreamers...everyone buys these mockups, how many of them literally makes even a 5 figures...it is a very smart strategy from Etsy to say we need to list hundreds of items...
LOL Thats your question. The mock up makes sense. These people have tons of listings. So they are more likely to be seen.
Seems like a good strategy.
I've subscribed. I appreciate your insights. I decided to put one of my designs on a candle from Printify. They recommend a free account until sales warrant a paid account. Makes sense. Setting my prices $5 more than other sellers selling the same item, and running the numbers, I will only make 36 cents!! I'm also factoring in advertising costs. Printify says it costs 8.50 to ship it, but Etsy's pop up message says that's too much to charge. How do sellers set up their shipping prices? I even tried calculating the premium Printify user pricing, lowered my price to match other sellers and ended up in the red. I must be missing something. Please help. : )
The research you had better do is look at what Etsy is charging you. They have a basic fee of 6.5% on total you are paid (sale price, sales tx and shipping) but they are automatically enrolling you for off site ads program which adds 12% more to your fees.
Now that 6.5% becomes 18.5% on the total you are paid on total amount paid.Calculate it $250 item plus Shipping Price & Sales Tx total minus 18.5% ..what are you making.?
The only time you are charged for off-site ads is when there is a sale that is a direct result of the off-site ads, so while it may occasionally increase fees in individual sales, it doesn't increase fees overall
@@brandcreators of course it increases fees overall..and depends on how many of the sales comes from off-site ads...if you're looking at it "overall" But I would be more concerned with how much a sale is netting me ..sold through offset ads taking the additional 12% of total on top of the standard fees.18.5% of total purchase price shipping and sales tax will have a lot of people realizing they are working for nearly nothing. That additional 12% is an exhorbant amount it should have been max 3%
any etsy seller for partnership?
Im a newbie is there a particular reason a person wouldnt just create a awesome original product and push that one instead of looking up what is already selling and copying it?
Sure but why not create more for the customer to buy?
Hi just stared selling wallart on Etsy for coffee lovers ...they are unique and funny. But no sales yet...so Thank you for this amazong vid
You are so welcome!
Is there a good way to calculate how much profit your Etsy item will make per sale, and how much profit your Etsy item will make per sale if you offer it at a % discount?
When first creating the listing with Printify I could find this, but now with the Etsy dashboard trying to make a sale, it's a lot harder to see the forest from the trees.
Also, dumb question, but how long does your free Printify Premium code last for? Bc that might be a difference maker too! Joining your community TY again for these videos.
Everbee has a profit calculator tool that you can use to determine net profit. brandcreators.com/everbee
Printify code is 30 days

Nope etsy is constantly upping their Costs. It's poorly broken down so you have no idea what you pay them for
Hi,im using printful with my print on demand shop on etsy, and i live in Israel, and in my shop i marked that im from the us, should i change it to Israel? And if i change it,it will not make any troubles? Thanks

Do you order samples for all the new products that you list your design on when you do your product blitz?
We typically work with the same manufacturers across products and that helps us limit the number of samples we need, since we already know the quality.
@brandcreators that makes good sense, thanks for your response!
Hey I have a little problem. I have my first sales but shipping on pritify costs even more than the original price which we set to be 30% our profit. If anyone knows how to solve this please reach out to me. Thanks in advance
Do you know how this happened and how to avoid it in the future?
Hi guys... please i need clarification on something. I'm planning on opening an Etsy 'individual' shop. Am allowed to change it to business/company seller in future?

Your mind. These guys can't promote anything Etsy without mentioning tools that literally do nothing for you.
this is what im thinking. the algorithm
Is it a good idea for anyone to have his own website from scratch, instead of being dependent on Etsy, and at the same moment having to wait for Etsy to get him viewers or shoppers to one's shop or even being in fear that Etsy will suspend his account at any moment?
Once you get up and running on etsy, there's nothing wrong with having your own site!
New Esty accounts can’t run ads until 15 days after creation
I haven’t made any sale for a month now. Also ads aren’t helping, thousands of impressions, hundreds of clicks, 0 sales…
but even if we find those products we have to find somewhere to buy them from.
hahaha yes, product research would be the first step of the process. Sadly, it's not magic...yet
Everything is marked up and on sale 😂😂😂
Can i delete a shop and add the deleted shop's digital products in another etsy shop?
if you already have the products in the shop, why do you want to delete that shop and start over?
@@ChristopherShaffer1 for free listings! It's just one product!
@@WAFactsUlagam if you already have the product listed, I don't see any reason to delete the store and start over, ESPECIALLY if you're getting ANY traffic or sales.
If by "free listings" you mean you're going to use the Etsy promo to get 40 free listings, keep in mind that that's worth $8 and you're going to put more effort into moving everything over than you would to make the $8 to create the 40 listings (which you would need products to create anyway) hahahaha
@@WAFactsUlagam just open another shop, you only need a different email and you get 40 free listings everytime, but listings are dirt cheap anyway
But in your other videos you tell us to go after the products on Etsy that are selling well. No you are telling us to sell products that aren't selling well. Very confusing.
and dont forget, has to be in your niche. sometimes it feels like hunting for unicorns
It's not confusing at all, he's going after youtube views. 99% of these youtubers are shills going after youtube ad revenue. Most of them will earn much more from youtube than the content matter they're trying to portray themselves as experts in, it's really quite twisted how it works. The better their numbers on youtube the more they earn, that's what it's about and not really about being genuine in the content produced. If you have ANY success in business you don't just freely give your secrets away to a world of potential competition.
I'm generalizing of course but the majority are this way in my experience. Whether it's etsy, crypto, finance, or anything where YOU could make money the youtubers make it all look very straight forward and easy when few of them probably have much success at all themselves and have more success through YT telling others how to be successful. Some of the content is useful like "getting started " type stuff can help with ideas and what not put take much of it with a pinch of salt.
Ultimately just do your own thing at see what works for you and brings you success in whatever you're doing.
Not confusing at all. If you are in a niche that has a lot of competition, you can use it to your advantage. If most of competition is selling t-shirts in your niche but you notice that tumblers and pillows are popular, then you promote the tumblers and pillows to get people to view your shop. If they see the t-shirts while they are looking at the tumblers, they have the opportunity to buy both.
@@Danlewis85 Spot on 👏
I think where you're confused is that you're confusing products that are selling CONSISTENTLY, with products that are selling 50 units a day (these are the types of products that he's talking about in this video). The typical advice that we give, especially for new sellers is that if you can go after products that sell on average once per day, you can build the solid foundation that will then allow you to go after higher volume products.
Make sense?
I heard that having two digital products shop on etsy will get you banned even if you sell two different lines of products is this true !
No. You're allowed to have different shops selling different products
You can't have two shops selling the exact same item. That's a ban.
@@infadel885 not true, many wall art sellers have over a dozen shops, ones that just sell childrens digital posters, another for kitchen wall art, another for vintage digital posters, some have more than 20 shops
The discussion is about the “Same item” in multiple shops. Not “multiple shops”.
Only work around is differ even SEO and descriptions.
I can't reply to messages from buyers, my messaging has been temporarily disabled on my Etsy account
Reach out to support. That's the only option to get this fixed.
@@brandcreators yes but there i am not being helped properly
So, my question is: How are YOU making this much money on ETSY using digital products?
Key to sales is having 1000_2000 items for sale
There is no reason you'd need to list that many things
ADS ARE A SCAM..
Not even close🤣
They definitely are. Etsy doesn't care about you winning. They care about money. That's why they changed it.
Jump scare warning for headphone users look out its a surprise headings with a sound effect at 400 percent audio
This guy is clearly working for Etsy. They may or may not be paying him but he's clearly biased. Here's my experience with them: I tried to set up an Etsy store and they insisted that I give them my bank user name and password. That information they didn't need and that I have never had to give out and they have no right to ask for it. So I don't have an Etsy store now. And now I'm going to pile on because I can't complain to Etsy unless I have an account with them. When describing my jewelry I was limited by the selection of metals and stones. Only one metal and one type of stone is allowed when my jewelry has multi-metals and many pieces of jewelry that most jewelers create have more than one type of stone in them. Also, the questions I had to answer were redundant; they asked for the same information (descriptions) in several different ways. So I couldn't describe my product accurately in a concise and accurate way. Etsy has a one star rating with the Better Business Bureau. There are multiple reasons to this. But Etsy won’t improve their rating by improving their operation.
2 minutes in and this isn't telling me anything
He rambles about nonsense. Like all the other youtube peeps
How can I increase my sales, selling vintage home decor. Your only helping people that sell the same thing.. I sell one of a kind…
Product blitz ? Can you be more specific ? I’ve seen people list one products but multiple ways . Same product just different scents for example .
Yes, that can work. The overall strategy is to launch 30 products in 30 days so you get a steady flow of listings published. We have taken one design and added it to 5 or 6 products types and that's how you can launch products faster. Hope that helps :-)
This is remarkably good advice. I just want some sales. I'm turned off by youtube clips that promise $13,000 in the first 3 months.
Glad you enjoyed it. I try to keep it real :-)
Spend 150 bucks a month on ads. Thats the trick, wow😅😮😢
This is probably some of the worst advice I’ve ever heard. You want to target products with low competition and HIGH demand aka a HIGH number of sales. Targeting products with low competition and low sales means no one is looking to buy the product. You have to look at what is ACTUALLY selling not just what people are “viewing.”
quite funny seeing how many videos on youtube telling people to copy other people instead of creating something great and just get on with it......

Thats like applying for an entry level job and hearing that you need 10 years of experience.
Obviously you didn’t watch the full video. I actually share how to get sales and that will start the flywheel. Plus I have lots of videos that show HOW to get sales 😀
Etsy does not "give" you sales. Your product, the sale experience and your story/description and photos sell your product.
Etsy gives sellers nothing but a platform to sell their items.
Sometimes, you just mislead.
I think you're taking the title a bit too literally ;)
What he means by "gives you sales" is that they give you the opportunity to rank organically, which leads to traffic, which leads to sales, that's just a bit too long to put into the title🤣
The likelyhood that your product will sell for any given search is a HUGE portion of Etsy's SEO algorithm and something people often don't talk about.
One consideration of that is your sales history for the relevant keywords, if you're going after a product that sells 50 units a day and the people selling all have a long history on that keyword, it will take you longer to rank for that. Instead, if you build your store history (which is one part of that "how likely you are to sell" calculation I mentioned previously), by selling products that are easier to rank for, it makes it easier to rank for the higher volume stuff.
Make sense?
@@ChristopherShaffer1 if people don't want it, it won't sell.
Have been selling on Etsy since 2011, before SEO. I don't recommend Etsy anymore.
As someone who sells on multiple platforms online, both digital and physical goods, I can tell you that you are way wrong.
When a seller starts moving products and getting noticed, the platform will promote that sellers products. Period. It only makes sense because that way it keeps its customers happy by promoting things that they want, and the platform makes more money. This is true since the beginning of time long before the internet was ever here in any selling situation.
