Very useful. Happier now as i can see my kadence sh103 is solid top as claimed somewhere. I can also see my 12 string is laminate top ...only seeing two layers, but anyway the sound is great. Going now for cort af30 acoustic amp just for home playing...

1. The commonly used term for the top is soundboard, but soundplate is also fine as long as it is clear what part of the guitar you are referring to. 😊
2. Ebony is NOT used as a soundboard wood, but as a fretboard wood. Perhaps you meant to say cedar or maple? Other woods such as myrtle, sapele, etc are also being used nowadays by the more adventurous/innovative guitar makers, like Breedlove
3. High humidity causes the sound board to warp because humidity causes the wood to swell. High humidity also causes the guitar to lose its structural integrity because the glues used can absorb moisture and soften. As a rule, guitars made in cold countries are at higher risk of being damaged like this if used in warm humid countries, especially if not stored in a good hard case with a dehumidifier. Low humidity causes the wood to dry out, resulting in cracking.
However, soundboards made of kiln-dried or heat-treated woods are more resilient and immune to this. Several mainstream brands have started using this technique recently. Interestingly, Landola of Finlad had been doing this since the 1960s....sadly, they seem to have gone out of business recently...😕
4. The sound quality of a laminate top guitar can actually deteriorate over time, if the glue used to stick the layers together degenerates chemically or softens due to excessive humidity, causing the layers of wood to separate. It can also happen if the top layer, which is mainly cosmetic and therefore relatively expensive, is from a differents species of tree ( as is the case in cheaper laminates) than the lower layers which are not visible and therefore from cheaper, poorer quality woods. These layers react/respond to changing humidity at different rates and different ways, and thus losing integrity and separating from one another....

@@XtremeCoreShubham Two brands you might want to consider, especially if you are restricted to buying from within India, are Orangewood and Sire. Harley Benton, too, has a good value proposition. I have no idea how good supplies are post covid, though....

I am planning to purchase a guitar.
In my mind I have Yamaha fs100c f310 and f280 and fender (the type you showed in a video and said it is almost 5 years old).
After listening I don't find any big changes in all the three Yamaha and fender series

Buy ad810 it's the best guitar with best wood combination. Spruce top mahogany back and sides and rosewood fingerboard and it's the classic wood combination for any acoustic guitar.

I'm not even an expert on this but don't you think it sorta makes sense why it's how it is? Laminate wood is built from thin piece of tonewood fused together with plywood, and plywood , as we know, is very cheap.
Solid wood is probably more expensive because you're not using any plywood, it's pure tonewood, which makes it more expensive.
Laminated spruce is not pure spruce, it's thin and fused with layers of plywood.
Solid spruce is one solid piece of thick spruce. Etc, etc.
And then there's also the matter of using rarer wood, which makes a guitar even more expensive. But you should be able to find a solid top guitars easily around 300$ which is not too expensive, you really don't need a solid back and sides unless your standards is as high as American guitar geeks, the top wood is like 80% of what makes the sound.

If you are an expert then classical guitar but if you are a beginner then acoustic guitar is better

All classical guitars are acoustic.
The main differences are: the nylon strings, no radius in the fretboard (flat), the wider nut, less string tension, so milder for your fingers. Better for finger-picking, because nylon doesn't break your nails.
