Your ribs looked great in the smoker Lynn. I have a tip for the ribs that may help with the tenderness, remove the membrane from the back side of the ribs (bone side) before cooking. It will help tremendously with the texture and tenderness by doing that. Just find a loose spot and pull in one motion and it should come off in one piece. I use a paper towel to help gripping onto it. Hope it helps for the next time! Have a safe trip!!

Lynnette, my mom was amazing when it came to growing anything! Here's a simple tip that she always did.
My mom drank brewed black (Lipton) tea every day, all day, Iced Tea. Yup, even in the winter.(We live in Michigan) At night she usually had a cup or two of the tea left. She would give each one of her plants a little bit of day (just a couple of teaspoons) per day. I think the reason why my plants always grow like Mom's is simple. I too got into the habit of giving the plants (houseplants) a little drink every day. I have some gorgeous plants, I really do!
    ************************************
    Here's another tip :
When giving (or getting for yourself) cut flowers....instead of plain water or those little plant food packets that are given by the florist or the store, try this :
When putting water in the vase, add a small amount of Sprite (or 7-up....anything in the soda pop line that's clear) into the water and then add the cut flowers!!
Honestly, your cut flowers will last for 2 sometimes 3 wks (just continue to add fresh water and a tiny bit of the soda pop when needed. I've been giving Roses for anniversaries and they've lasted 3 wks!

Hi Lynette some advice when making ribs always take the silver skin off of the back of the ribs use a paper towel to get a good grib on it. I always make them in my insta pot with the apple juice then when they are done I put the BBQ sauce on them and stick them in the broiler. They are delish !!

I love it when you make creamed potatoes with browned butter! You had baby back ribs and that’s the top shelf of ribs so they should have been tender. It may be the temp and time. They need to cook low and slow. You were going by a traeger recipe though. Who knows. Better luck next time.

Lynette, you will fry you plants when you water them in the hot sun... if you have to water them do it only at the bottom so no water hits their leaves... early morning is best to let the hose lay on the ground at the base and trunk or very low to soak the ground well.. so it runs down and not off.. if you do this they will thrive.. 🤗

If you water your plants from the bottom always and try to stay away from the leaves and flowers they should live and thrive. If you have more time at night, that's a good time to water too if you don't have time in the morning. 🤗🤗🦋🦋🌻🌻🌼🌼🌸🌸, Also, for your teak wood table. Try not to get it wet. Teak needs oil based cleaner and sealer. It will stay nice and rich looking. 🤗🤗🙏🙏

Hi Lynette, For your landscape plants you might try watering them in the evening when it isn't so hot and also don't water the foliage, just the ground around them. Watering slowly so that the water can get down to the roots.

The only time we generally need it is right now before the summer rains come. We usually get rain almost daily during the summer so things are lush and green. And in the winter - we don’t need much because it’s not very hot. So it’s just in the spring usually when it gets more dry and hot.

What is the kind of sealer you used on the round table? It turned out beautiful. I am so jealous of all the beautiful plants you have. I used to have some in my 20's and they were great and were really big ivy plants. Now I am starting over again in my 50's and I have a snake plants that seems I can manage with but I think those are easy to keep. Any suggestions on easy plants to start out with?

    Hi Lynette!
In Creston, Ohio, just east of Holmes County, is a butcher shop called Whitefeather Meats. They have a second business call The Bearded Butchers seasoning company and a CZcams channel by the same name. In many of their videos they take the viewer from the cutting room floor showing where the specific cuts of meat come from and then they cook the meats on either a Traeger or Big Green Egg grill or smoker. Their videos provide tips on how to grill or smoke meat to perfection and which of their seasonings and sauces are best to use depending on ones desired outcome. I strongly suggest having a look at some of their videos.
As for your teak coffee table it is very important to also seal the underside of the table top. By not sealing the underside moisture will get into the wood from the bottom that very well could warp or crack that table top itself.

I love your videos! The ribs looked yummy. Must say the rattan stand looks better for being stained. It looks great there.

I see my niece's cookbook on your counter! The plant shelf looks perfect there. Someday we hope to rebuild a bigger patio cover and I'm so looking forward to having more under cover space for updated and comfy outdoor furniture. Thanks for sharing your day with us!

Hey Lynette 👋🏻 I love all of your videos! Since you mentioned that this was your first time cooking ribs I wanted to give you some kind 😁 helpful information for the next time you cook ribs. “If you are cooking on a grill or smoker, the membrane will prevent the ribs from fully absorbing the smoky flavor. The peritoneum is thicker near the backbone, so it's more important to remove it from back ribs, which come from high up on the back, than spare ribs, which come from the belly area.” My husband uses a knife to start the process of removing the membrane and then uses paper towels to pull the membrane away from the bones. I hope this is helpful to you 😁 Blessings from Green 🌱Ohio.

😃 thanks. I checked to see if it was on the ribs .. and it appeared not. But maybe it was still on!

@@LynetteYoder - just a gentle comment ❤️ If you did not remove the membrane, then it was still on. Happy grilling! ❤️

Using a mixer in potatoes changes the chemical structure and makes them sticky. I have a friend who does that! Use a hand masher. It doesn't take too long!

      @LynetteYoder  Před 3 lety

Haven’t had a problem with that. It might be the type of potatoes. I put sour cream, cream cheese, butter, evaporated milk in them and it’s not at all sticky. 😊

Lynette , are you aware of a product used a lot here in Florida called WET & FORGET? It is for use outside. We use it on everything from the lanai furniture to the driveway and sidewalk to kill the mold and keep it away for a long time.I don't know how you'd get along in Fl. without it. It is not bleach, so far we haven't had it damage anything we've used it on.Doesn't hurt to get overspray on the grass. I believe my husband buys it on Amazon.
