I have been enjoying your videos for a couple of years. I have been healing from developmental trauma and your videos are a part of that healing. I work with a therapist doing inner child work. When I had to think of someone who represents a loving parent, the only person I could think of was Mr. Fred Rodgers.
When I think of him I am calm. Now I have another example of a loving person-You. Thank you for being you.
Flies are such a nuisance. I remember an elderly lady who I used to go and have afternoon tea with. Well, she suggested that if you open the window and turn off the lights then say to the fly could you please leave as I didn't invite you here and you are not welcome. She swore by this method 😂 though it didn't work for me. 💕

I put chopped basil into ice cube trays, then cover with olive oil - freeze. When frozen, pop out into baggies.. makes more of a serving portion

Making the basil salt. You might like to try basil mayonaise for your summer sandwiches. Its especially delicious on turkey & chicken. No recipe. Just mix basil pesto and your favorite mayonaise to your taste. I adore your videos. You have such a calming presence.❤

I must say that both you and Acre Homestead are my all time favorite here in you tube. You both share a love of gardening and cooking and you must follow each other with recipes! I just love you both!!!
You can also make basil butter: simply soften the butter and then add salt, Worcester sauce, chopped basil and chopped flat leaf parsley and mix all together.
I like you, Mr. Kevin. It amazes me that you can handle all those gardens of yours. You’re so active. I’m lazy. I wish I were a little more like you. I especially like it when you go shopping for plants and flowers, food, etc. Best wishes,

Dear Kevin, before you heat your oven, remove the racks you don't need and those you do need cover them with aluminium foil so your racks stay clean, prefenting them to get dirty is the best option IMHO ;-) Take care and stay safe, Vleer from the Netherlands. 🙂

My mother gave me a prayer plant when I was young. It sat by my bed many years always closing at nightfall.
One day after many years it bloomed pretty delicate flowers. I was so surprised. It smelled like sweet perfume.
Renting in Tivoli New York, a lovely house on acres of land, sweet, very small town long from Upper West Side Manhattan. Feeling disoriented and blue so turned on your most recent video knowing it would comfort me. It is. The yogurt and blueberries, cleaning the oven racks and more chores and life will follow. I am comforted and thank you.

Do you have tips on growing blueberries?
When I make my basil paste, I pop in some salt too. Then put it all in a jar m, topped with oil to prevent spoilage. I use a teaspoon at a time n keep the basil covered in oil at all times. Mine keeps for years in the fridge. Tasty on fresh tomato slices on toast.

Love the idea of basil salt; will be giving that a try. I soak my oven racks in dishwasher tablets. They work very well, too. Nice houseplants. I always think plants make a nice home.

Another interesting video and I learned quite a few things from you today. You have such a calming personality you are a person of many talents, which I admire.
Acre homestead just did several herb salts, she did one cup of compacted herbs to one cup of salt, processed them in food processor and spread it over a tray to dry out for several days and then into a airtight jar so you can just use it anytime you want herbs and salt in a dish, she did, basil , chives, coriander and parsley in separate jars.
