      same! I think most suggest that you can start your fiverr selling and after you get those small projects, you can actually invest in classes or setup etc..
      i mean i could try some class but i dont wanna experiment and waste right now :D
      something scary for me is fiverr recordings that you have to put for your profile..

    isn't it cool that something you recorded 3 years ago, is still relevant? I'm a pro VO, and I just listened to this because I was looking for IVR examples, and a CZcams search brought this lesson 14 up as an examples. and while it's not, it's a great lesson, and you are so patient and giving as a teacher. Great JOB!

    Man this is like the third video that I've watched from your channel over the last 7 to 10 days. I have to say I really like the information that you're sharing it flies in the face of the advice that all the professionals in the industry are currently giving that being do not make a DIY demo you must hire a vo coach etc etc.
    I'm an American expat living in a third world country and I can't afford to pay someone $600 Brazilian reais (roughly $125 US) per hour for coaching just starting out. I have mouths to feed and that kind of money would put us all on beggars row.
    So thank you thank you thank you for your videos I especially enjoyed this one because as I do practice on my own I often feel like I'm spinning my wheels and going nowhere, at least with this video I will have some bases for analysis.

    In my case I just met someone randomly and asked her to coach me.
    In addition to being talented with languages, she has an exceptional ear. Also while being "very insightful and encouraging," she sees my potential for voice acting excellence, and requires this excellence
    And so from the intensive online research I've done, I taught her how to evaluate and coach me to improve.
    Our ultimate test seems to be "Was it simply a good believable performance, or did my acting connect so compellingly as to cause goosebumps?"
    The recorded samples produced using this appraxh has impressed industry professionals, and I'm about to record my first professional demo
    So maybe just as some potential voice talent have a natural gift, so may some potential voice acting coaches. However, I think both must be willing to trust each other, and help each other to grow

    I dont know much about voice acting, but here's what i do. I'll find something I'm interested in, usually a game, then i'll find some voice lines from the game. I'll read what the voice line says (instead of listening to the voice lines) on the games wiki via text form. Then i'll try my best to act/say that line. After i've done that I will import the game voice file into my DAW so i can compare how I did to the professional voice actor. I'll repeat this and save it as a project so I always have it.

    How do you know what script your voice matches? Not sure if I'm posing this question correctly. But I feel I got a 1 tone voice . Not an exciting voice like "HEY GUYS!..."... So how do you know which to do

    • @robertrock2000
      @robertrock2000 Před 3 lety +11

      You likely have many many tones without being aware of it when you are not trying to do voice over
      I think voice acting and all acting really is about taping into the many emotions that cause those various tones, by doing script analysis (research this) and then getting out of your head, by visualizing the moment, and let your emotions flow through you
      The varied tones will then come by themselves when needed, just as they do in real conversation, if you playfully let go, and let them flow though you
