My templates just arrived from LMII and I sure am glad I watched this because i didn't know you could get colored lead for mechanical pencils! I just ordered some. Thanks for a great video!
Yes, that is correct. The side dimensions are extrapolated from the plan. This is why one must be very careful not to cut the sides too close. Errors or movement in bending or assembly could be problematic. Leave some cushion.

When, and how, do you remove the material from the top of the side?

So is the shape of the template based off of a bent side that has been sanded in a hollow radius dish?
