That one point only would have given Irvine one more point to his name, and the championship was still Hakkinen's by one point. The only way Irvine would have gotten the world championship is if the Canadian Grand Prix had the 1 lap shootout between Fisichella and Hakkinen and Fisichella won. Irvine was screwed over at the Nurburgring with that infamous stop.

Rubens being able to keep a Stewart in P1 for that long, with Schumacher, Mika, everybody on track. No commentator gave him a sh!t. Unacceptable.
