I like Hahruhi and Renge because it would be very cute. And I like Kyoya x Tamaki's because I like angst. It's really sad when you think about it in canon. It's lightly implied in the manga that Kyoya has feelings towards Tamaki but wouldn't act on them for many reasons, so the best course of action in his eyes was to get Haruhi and Tamaki together because that's what would make Tamaki happy regardless of how Kyoya may feel.
Same ships for me. Especially since Renge was actually canonically into Haruhi after her debut episode.

I was intrigued and terrified. Loved that moment, but the show is PG and Haruhi ruined the audience's fun. I hated Kyoya yet appreciated his everything from that moment on.
Fun fact! In the manga it is shown that Kyoya had feelings for Haruhi but put them aside because he found something “more precious”, his friend Tamaki’s happiness :) isn’t that so sweet of him awww also Kaoru sneaks the the Ootori house one day and Kyoya wakes up and Kaoru’s just chilling on kyoya’s bed and kaoru calls kyoya cute 😂💀
That was hinted in the beach episode when kyoya gets on top of haruhi on the bed. He had the urge to do it because he wanted to show her a lesson of how reckless she was when she risked her life for those girls at the beach. But haruhi knew he wouldnt because she knows hes too nice of a guy. But you can tell he likes her a little, hes just better at hiding it than his friends (this also ties into how he hides his true self from other people in a later episode). But yeah he definitely treasures his friendship with tamaki over his relationships with girls. I think all the host club members had crushes on her but it was really subtle.

@@opheliapurple idk even though Haruhi is *physically* weak I dont think it was necessary to do that to her. To me, it seemed like they were trying to break her (since she's mentally strong) so that she would "realize" that she was "weak" and rely on them. Like, they had good intentions (to protect her) but their behavior was selfish and gross. Especially kyoya.
I love how we're still getting the best content for this show that aired in 2006 and we're in 2020. That's just amazing to me.

@@cindyguo6125 for me I started to think "hey you know, maybe there's something to work with there" since Hikaru's date episode when the two were talking together at the end. The show presented the friendships like this: Hanni and Mori, Tamaki and Kyoya, the Twins, and any boy with Haruhi. I wanted those unexplored friendships/relationships damn it lol.

American equivalent would be saying only Mori could make Kyouya have “bottom energy/vibes.” That’s a simplification of the term, but no one else in the club could even come close to being “dominant” in a relationship with Kyoya XD

The trick, besides their voices, it what side of the screen they're on. Typically, Kaoru is on the left side and Hikaru is on the right. Even during the "which one is hikaru" game they stick to that

Ethan Kellerman their voices are different in both sub and dub, but in English it’s much more noticeable! In Japanese, Kaoru has a breathier, slightly higher and “sweeter” voice while Hikaru sounds more “boyish”. Honestly in sub sometimes I can only tell who’s who only after they’ve both spoken
@Ethan Kellerman they also part their hair differently, though you can't tell with the hats on. i also listen to their voices, kaoru's voice is higher than hikaru's.
