- have had this piano part sitting on my hard drive since the summer of 2019 - figured i’d dust it off and see what i could do with it. apologies for the sour guitar notes in there and an admittedly clumsy mix, i need to record more and practice 😮💨
i'm very glad to receive constructive feedback!
FL Studio 20 • LABS Soft Piano • MODO BASS 2 SE • LABS Vintage Drums • Neural DSP Tone King Imperial MKII
THAT ONE NOTE AT 0:32 MY GOD
yeah dominant chords, who doesnt like them
turning it into a V7 (pretty sure that's correct?) is something that happened really late in the process, glad i did as it brought way more life into that section!
@@ninevolt I think that's what it's called !!!!
when they cant music theory
Each chord in this composition flows into the next like warm honey, and the subtle grit of the guitar tone contrasts the rest of the mix in such a pleasant way. The mood really does make me think that maybe I’ll feel better, when tomorrow comes around. Thank you for this piece.
thank *you* for such a thoughtful comment! i hope things are going well and wishing you best of luck with everything - i know you'll do great 😊
Your music is always so cozy ahhhhhhhhhh I love it!!!
thank you, i'm glad you enjoy the vibe 😊
I'm a sucker for gospel, so I'm loving the rhythmic motives and chord progression. Can't believe I missed this one :) Also a super solid guitar tone -- I have found that to be NOT as easy as it seems, lol
Oh I noticed you use impulse responses from neural DSP too! I've used archetype Plini (for progressive metal) -- how are you liking Tone King Imperial MK2?
thanks as always!! to be honest i have no clue what gospel is haha, but i'm really glad you enjoyed the musical ideas here :) will have to check it out!
tone king can give some great results for the sort of cleaner or crunchy rock sounds I'm into, though i've found for lighter tones i need to play around with the input gain (usually decrease it a lot) to avoid excessive distortion. very fun once that's all set up, it's been a solid first amp sim for me!
The base line is a masterpiece. I'd love to hear this beat again but this time with a nice vocals.
thanks 😊 great suggestion!
pretty nice, I’m listening to this at 10am..
thanks for listening :))
beautiful.
Love this one a lot! Listening to this now while in the car
the idea that someone on this planet has listened to something i made in their car is actually mindboggling, really glad you enjoyed it!
I love those drums, they fit in so well with the friendly, beautiful chords!
cheers! the process of sketching out drum patterns to support the music is so rewarding :)
Underrated as always, keep it up!
thanks again! 😊
Awesome
So many small gold mines on CZcams, this channel being one😊

much appreciated 😊 totally hear you there, i plan to deep dive into songs i love to learn how they achieve the right energy levels and transition into new, interesting sections
This is so good! Btw what bass are you using?
thanks! i'm using modo bass 2, highly recommend
Amazing composition, but i have to point that it needs diferent mix
thank you, and yes - i 200% agree that the mix needs serious work here! by chance would you be able to share any specifics that came to mind for you?
Bring the volume of the drums up, they are so low!
thanks for the pointer!
is that live guitar?
yes, recorded the direct input into FL and used an amp sim plugin ^^
may i ask what vst that bass comes from :0?
