- This is the second part of Paul Swindells long-distance racing pigeons videos. He explains to us how he pairs up his birds and what to look for when trying to breed a champion. He also explains why so many fanciers have sicknesses in there lofts and the advantages of single breeding pens.
This man oozes knowledge for the young ones and the not so knowledgeable fanciers . total respect .!
Swindell convinced me to go with single breeding cages, never looking back to open loft breeding. From your friend in the USA Rodney G.

So much sense spoken on this video. Love it!! Can you PLEASE tell me the size of your individual breeding pens? Height, Length and Depth?
I like that he is a fanatic for long distances, that's how I love it too, but unfortunately I haven't been able to practice for some time.
Good luck!

Smart fellow on pigeons ,
Why does he hold it upside down
My mind is going to explode thinking about what birds I am pairing this winter for racing.
Most interesting and
Anyone know if he still has the pigeons ?
I used to have pigeons when I was a little nipper, I was blessed to have a racing pigeon with a little injury turn up on my drive a few months back and I contacted the owner who basically said he will ring it's neck and said I can keep it if I want. Now I've had him for 3 months and he's wing and leg are repaired and he's back to near perfect condition I want to build a loft but ain't got a clue where to start and how I'm going to bring more pigeons in from as the little guy is getting lonely I feel.
Where are you based mate and well done for keeping him
Yeah well done likewise i had 20 pigeons 45years ago seen a stray mealy on my road doubled ringed from a race tried to catch him no success was going to keep him and get a mate to match you never get away from the pigeon world p fancier dublin.
Hi Paul that's a lovely dun/ash pigeon at 17.16, what strain is that, is it walkinshaw?
Where is Part 1?

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
from my experence pairing a gold eye to a pearl will wash out the eyes, however pairing gold to gold and pearl to pearl will preserve the color,
Titanium Hearts Loft all the eye stuff is load shit anyway. a pigeon Don't win a race with its eye
The best advice I can give is..two eyes are better than one 😉😂
@@waynenewcombe8184 since my last comment all i can say is, nothing is certain when breeding racing pigeons
Ok
I was of the understanding that big / small pigeons should be paired to the perfect sized partner.
I don’t want to go into genetics but .....
Big / small = big or small offspring
Big * perfect = offspring big or perfect
