- Join me on an unforgettable 8-day journey as I explore the Mediterranean onboard the Carnival Venezia cruise ship. I spent 8 days cruising with Carnival Venezia. We had a wonderful time. On this trip, we visited 3 different countries. Amber Cove, Dominican Republic, Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos and Half Moon Cay, Bahamas.

here in Kenya we call it CHILLAX (we chill and we relax same time 😂 😂)🛳⛴
Oh yes, it' was definitely a CHILLAX time on the cruise for dure. ⛴️⛵️
@@WhoIsHerby Definitely
we are looking at the 10 day in February on this ship. looks like you had a great time. Thank you for posting.
10 days gives plenty of time to explore the whole ship. Yeah, we had a great time for sure. Wishing you a great fun trip. Happy Cruising. 😊 ⛵️⛴️🚢
We're going on a 10 day from NYC to Miami, Bahamas, Half Moon Cay! I'm worried about weather. Is it going to be a true tropical get away or will we be enjoying winter and fall weather the whole time! Feb is a busy month for storms off the Atlantic coast! Excited and nervous at the same time.
Loved your review , different from some of the others , love the pricing info and that $200 hold info. Thanks a million
I'm glad you find it useful. Safe travels. Thank you for watching 👀 💯
Enjoy brother, you're living the dream life
Yes, I'm having a little fun, my brother. Thank you! 💯
@@WhoIsHerby You're most welcome
This was so helpful! We go out on Sunday Dec 10th to the Bahamas and I have been watching videos for months that did not cover even half of what you did! Thanks so much for taking the time. I am really excited about the Venezia now!
I am really happy that the video was helpful. I wish you all the best on your trip, you will love it. Venezia is a pretty nice classic ship. Please do come back and give us an update on how your experience was after the trip. Thank you for watching 👀 and commenting. 💯
16 days until, February 23 rd counting down.
You ll enjoy it. Wish you a safe trip. Come back and let us know how it was. 💯

Nice job. Going in two weeks. Great advice.
Have a safe trip. You will enjoy it. We had a really fun experience. 💯
how was your trip?
Our trip was pretty good 👍🏿 💯
We liked it a lot. Probably the best Carnival ship we've been on, and it was pretty cool seeing NYC at night from the water.
Looks like fun. thanks for the info
It was fun. We loved every minute of it. Thanks for watching ⛴️⛵️
heading on a 7-day Mexican Riviera Cruise on that ship, thanks for the insight...

thanks for the information. Very useful
I truly appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment 👀. I am gladly you find it useful. 💯
She a beautiful ship and I don’t know why people complain about everything. I been with Carnival since 1983.
Agreed. 💯 It is a beautiful ship.
Beautiful ship. Was on in the fall of '23
Yes indeed. 💯
good tips on this video , more than other channels , thanks
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Very much appreciated. 🙏🏾
Thank you for this because it's not much out about
This cruise port stops
I'm glad you find it useful. Thank you for watching. Happy cruising ⛵️⛴️🚢
Great video 😊... thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching 👀. 💯💯🚢⛵️
Good job! I enjoyed watching your video. We are going on this ship in November the week before Thanksgiving for 9 days. We are going to the Bahamas: Halfmoon Cay, Nassau and Freeport. The ship looks very nice.
Welcome to the family. We had a great time on this ship. Do come back and share any useful tips for others. Thanks for watching 👀. Safe travels & happy cruising 🛳 🚢
The gym is usually next to the spa.
That's just a small outdoor workout section
Yeah, I found the real gym later on during the trip. 🤣🤣
Thanks for the review, we are heading on this same boat in August out of NY.
Thanks for commenting. You guys will love it. Enjoy your trip. Happy cruising 🛳 🚢
How was it?
@@WhoIsHerby I was actually hesitant about this sailing bc of half moon cay BUT now that I've seen your honest review on it, we are going to book that sailing for October.
@@WhoIsHerby can’t wait!
In my experience, Half Moon Cay was the highlight of the trip. You ll love it. Happy cruising 🛳
I hope you found the indoor fitness center. Consider checking the ship's deck plan and don't hesitate to ask the crew for assistance if you are looking for something. Oh yeah--it's a "ship", not a "boat"...
Yes, there is an indoor gym. I found it way later that I didn't have time to include it in the video. I like to explore and find things my own. Thanks for watching. 💯
I was on the ship in August... It was a fun ship...
I'm glad to hear you had a good time. My family and I had a great time as well. Thanks for the feedback. 💯
I thoroughly enjoyed watching your video. Quick question. Do they have the ice cream machines/dispensers on this ship? Thanks for the awesome video.
Thank you for watching. Yes, they have plenty of ice cream machine. They are all around the ship, usually where the drink / water stations are. Water cup are quite small, so I would bring a stainless steel water jug. You can fill up instead of having to go back and forth for very small cups. Hope that helps. Happy cruising 🛳
This is why I put money on my cruise and drink account whether I cruise, and I do 2 cruises twice a year, once during the spring or summer, and once in December.
That is a smart way to do it. I am a big cruise fanatic as well, but we go once a year. 👌🏾
Which ports would you recommend for 1st time cruisers?
This is very hard to say. Assuming you're asking between NY Port and NJ Bayonne Port, I would say it depends on where you live and how you plan to get to Port, which cruise line you want, also the itinerary location you want to visit.
I would say NY Port if you plan to Uber there or get dropped off for Canival. NJ, if you are driving there but again, it depends on where you are coming from and the Itinerary and cruise line.
Lot of small details. 👌🏾
$200 per room! Just attach your credit card or debit card to the room and use that room for all charges. Made it easy for me. No packages bought. 9 day cruise and we soent about $1500 for 2 on too of the cruise price.
Also, get uo early in the morning as the hot tub is shocked then and very fresh and clean. Not a soul in it at 7:55. We enjoyed it all by ourselves.
Also, the seats right under that slide are the best most private spots to hang out and read, surf the net or sun tan. Use the clam shells. Right under the slide but private.
We enjoyed this ship. Would go back on it in a flash.
Well done Carribean!
Welcome back! Thank you for the update. I am sure a lot of people here will find this useful. Thanks again. 💯
great video
Thanks for watching 💯
I live in CT as well Stamford. And will be going on this ship in June. As far as parking use the Way App. My last cruise in Jan for 6 days we parked for $60. Hope this helps with your next travels.
Oh, ok, I ll keep that in mind. That seems much cheaper than the Uber ride we took. Thanks for the tip. 💯
I love the ship did the 15 day, doing 11 days in April and 11 days in November. I went to deck 5 to take a few pictures and left. Its kinda dumb they have this policy but it is what it is.
Thank you for coming with the follow-up comments. Yes, it was a surprise to me, but hey, like you said. It is what it is. 👀⛴️⛵️
@WhoIsHerby had to tell the folks on here about the secret decks in the front of the ship. If you go to deck 5 forward there's are stairs that lead to deck 6 and 7. Then deck 9 forward and deck 10 forward. Good for sightseeing of dolphins. I was always there by myself. Funny thing I never had an interest on half moon cay because of the tender boats but now I watched your video, getting off in April.
Hey brother, I wanted to ask u a question. I’m from Canada and I will be taking this carnival Venezia 10 days cruise. It will be our first time on a cruise. I wanted to know if u get signal bar on the phone while ur on the cruise. My wife works online and will still need to use her phone to talk to her clients for get business. Lots of great trips on ur video. Looking forward to ur reply. Thx
The only time you ll get a signal is when you arrive at each destination. There will be absolutely no signal or internet unless you purchase the internet packages they're offering. No signal.
Is the shuttle boat back from half moon cay also a preset time? Is there any shade there if you don’t rent those clam shell things on the beach?
The shuttles are not exactly on a preset time. From what i saw, they were going to and from boat to Half Moon Cay back and forth you can hop on anytime. Just don't miss the last boat.
As far as shade on the beach, there is none. The only shade is if you go sit at the bar. No shade close to the beach. You ll have to rent the chair with covers.
@@WhoIsHerby thank you
Good video, but I give the game to the young buck, you were looking exhausted 😂
I really was, but I tried to hide it. Why you think we only went up to 3. I couldn't do much more than that. Lol. 💯
❤❤❤
@daphneycompere950 thanks 💯
Great review! Which room number was this?
I don't recall our room number, but it was on the 2nd floor almost in the middle of the ship.🛳
Can you also tell me which areas of the ship weren’t so busy and crowded in the middle of the day?
It's hard to tell because to secure any spot, you ll have to wake up really early and then stay there the whole day, or someone else will take it. We secured our spot every day at 6 am. But if I had to choose a less crowded area, it would be the back of the ship. The middle has a lot of activities, so usually a lot of people there.
Hope that helps.⛵️⛵️🚢
So I recently started watching your videos I just want to say thank you for taking the time to film this my daughter and I will be taking this ship on November 20 for my birthday and this will be our first cruise ever 😊 and we are excited cause I’ve always wanted to travel and I’m finally doing it!
That sounds awesome. You will love it. We had a great time there as family. Iam so glad you find the video helpful because it took a lot of work to complete it. Your comment makes it all worth it. Thank you for watching.
Wishing you an early happy birthday 🎂 🥳
@@WhoIsHerby oh yes, very helpful. 😊
@@WhoIsHerby hey I forgot to mention before this is my first time taking a cruise so I don’t know what to expect and I forgot to ask my travel agent, but did you have to like go through them check in your luggage and stuff just wondering I have like personal items lol
@skyetravers8332 I did not book through a travel agent. But to check your luggage as soon as you get to the port, you ll see a lot of workers checking in luggage. It's much easier if you printed the luggage tag before hand, but even if you didn't, they have tags with them. They ll just put tags on your bags, and you re good to go. And by the way, one designated person can go check all the bags.
Hope that helps.
@@WhoIsHerby hello just wanna to tell u i just got back from that cruise and it was fun and the food was good we did do the restaurant in the morning and at night because I didn’t really care for the buffet but I did like the burger joint omg those burgers were so good 😊 I already wanna go back lol
What is the casino like on that ship
Foe me, the casino was pretty nice and clean, but it is a little small, I think. However, it gets the job done. 💯
My last cruise and my next one are out of NYC, the cost of parking is CRAZY. I usually cruise Royal Caribbean out of New Jersey and parking is half the price of NYC. RC is a great cruise line, My other two cruises, MSC did not blow me away, so after spending $500 for parking out of Brooklyn, I am DONE with MSC, now that I know how much it costs to park out of Manhattan for Carnival, it is going to cost me $405 for my 9 day Carnival cruise on the Venezia, unless Carnival blows me away, I will be done with Carnival and I will go back to being a dedicated Royal Caribbean cruiser. The only reason I changed was because I have seen every show on the RC ships and wanted something different to see... If you are new to cruising or only go on a cruise once every few years, my recommendation is stay with Royal Caribbean and cruise out of New Jersey. Thanks for your video.
Thank you for your feedback. I have only traveled on Royal Caribbean and Carnival. I have not been on MSC. But I completely agree with you, I recommend Royal Caribbean out of NJ as well. We did 9 days on RC out of NJ a couple of years ago, and I had no complaints. As far as parking on NY, I would recommend having someone drop you off at the port or take an Uber. Much cheaper that way.
I chose Venezia out of NYC for the exact opposite reason 😂 I don’t want to pay for parking in NJ or airfare to FL. I’m just gonna take the subway as close as I can and Uber the rest of the way if I have to. I never drive my car into Manhattan. I thought about RC out of NJ but I hate traveling to NJ either I gotta pay parking and tolls or Uber gonna cost $100+ like last time I went to a concert in Prudential Center. Leaving from Manhattan was the deciding factor for me even though the RC ships look more fun for the different age ranges in our family.
I just got back and I will say, the Venezia was good, but the activities on board and shows were sub par to RC, especially the Anthem of the Seas. IF the cost difference is only $100, try RC, you will be glad you did!!! @@thedreadpirateroberts
So who gets to use the private hot tub? Anyway, I will be going on the 10 days in a few weeks. Thank you for sharing!
I should have asked, but I didn't. However, the Hot Tub are located right in front of rooms and also a private block off area - I assume whoever books these rooms automatically gains access to the Hot Tub. The probably paid pay a little more. I didn't find out about it until the last day so it didn't bother me much.
Thank you! I think they might be for the suites, which I only got a balacony ha ha. I can't wait, just 3 more weeks!@@WhoIsHerby
BTW this is my work login, I'm actually Hylabee
@customerservice4981 Nice. Thanks for clarifying. I appreciate you watching and commenting. 💯
@@customerservice4981 you will love it.
Looks like fu❤😂🎉how long did you take on each locations?
I was not on this cruise. I only did the lobster catching excursion. ⛴️💯
Is this your first cruise ?
No. Not the first time. I have been on maybe 4 cruises before, but usually on Royal Caribbean. 😂😂
I did the same thing🤷🏽♀️😂
Oh no, did you get kicked out, too? 😂😂😂😂
@@WhoIsHerby Yes I did, however his approach was gentle.
@tammybedford1572 Yeah, they're pretty nice and calm about it. I am sure they have to kick people out of there daily. Most people won't know it's private until a certain time.
The $200 hold on your credit card is per person.
Thank you for the update.
so they didnt have a gym? Any yoga classes?
Yes, they do have a regular indoor gym. I am not sure about yoga classes, but very possible they offer that as well. Hope that helps.
@@WhoIsHerby Thanks Bro!
How was the food ?
The food was pretty, overall, pretty good. No real complaints. 💯
How was the night club?
The club was pretty nice. If you watch the video, the art gallery auction is the spot they turned into the nightclub. Pretty live and nice environment at night.
They charge 50 dollars for wheels chairs.
Really? Not according to the person we spoke to at the front desk.
Great tips but maybe write things down that you want to say so you remember.
Thanks for watching 👀. Yes, I probably should have.
Everyone knows that these are call Terrazza Suite’s and they are private. Sorry you didn’t do your homework. On other Carnival Ships they are called the Havana Suites. I been on the Venezia since the day. She leaves from my home port.
Thank you for taking the time to share. Yes, I failed to do my homework on this ship. 🤣 Lesson learned.
Hey you did a great job and everyone doesn’t know so you did a great job informing folks who watch your video👍🏾
Thank you. I sure didn't know, so I am sure there are others who might be just as surprised as I was. Thanks for the kind words.
Actually Carolyn - everyone doesn't know, and you're incorrect as well. They are called "Terrazza Cabins" NOT suites. There are Terrazza Inside Cabins, Terrazza Patio Cabana's, and Terrazza Aft View Balcony Cabins and of course the Terrazza Vista Balcony's. You must be 12 and older to stay in those cabins. All Terrazza passengers have Terrazza privilages (it's more than just the private area access). Ocean Suite guests also have access to the Terrazza Area but they would also have to be 12 and older. The general public has access to the Terrazza area only AFTER 7pm.
The same thing is found on the Vista Class ships as well as the newest Excel Class Ships but on those ships, it's the Havana area with it's Havana Cabins.
@user-jf3ez5vz2q Thank you for this. I am sure everyone will appreciate the clarification on this matter. Thank you 💯
