What a great review, I love the fact you gave so much details.
Thanks for that. Those details matter not just to help people decide if this ship might be for them, but also to help make the case why it was for me. Appreciate you watching.
You are an amazing commentator!! You should be the official guide for cruising
That’s really kind of you to say. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. It means so much.
One of the best videos on the Venezia. Very impressed with the wealth of information you provided with perfect video footage. Glad you had a great time and also provided prices.
Well Done!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for the feedback. Happy cruising to you!
KUDOS!!!!! I am sailing on her in 2 weeks - and have been devouring any and all youtubes/vlogs on the Venezia. Also joined numerous FB groups on her since NYC welcomed her. Yours has been the best! Just very relaxing and calming to watch. Instead of HMC we have Bimini so definitely looking forward to exploring this port (on a golf cart too)! Great job and thank you. Happy sails to you
Your feedback and kind words mean so much. Thank you. And have an amazing time on your cruise!
I forgot to ask - where did you pick up the bus for Miami's Top 10 Best? At the port when you got off the ship? TIA!
@@kathleenernst7935 yes steps away from the terminal we unloaded at. It was fast.
I’m taking this solo in three weeks, I’m excited. I have sailed a lot before but only once on the panorama solo so decided to try New York this time. Thanks for this video
Oh how cool, just like me! If you liked Panorama you’ll love this. A more upscale Panorama for sure. Happy cruising and thanks for watching.
Great video! I’m going solo on the Venezia in October. The ship looks beautiful and I love cruising out of NYC.
I really like the way you present your reviews. Thanks!
That means so much to me, thanks for your kind words. I’m happy to share my experience especially when it was more of pleasure than anticipated. I hope your October cruise is just as spectacular. Where will the Venezia be taking you?
I just went on the Venezia In January 14 2024 and I’m going back in March 15 2024 and also November 24 2024 I love this ship
It’s a good one. How cool you’re doing so many return trips. Happy cruising!
@@SoloCruiseTravel in plus I'm going with my mom's side of the family and I'm so excited about it
Loved this video. I really like how you described everything. Very thorough. I'm definitely going to book this ship in the near future.
Well thank you for your kind words. She’s a beautiful ship and I really enjoyed the voyage. Happy cruising!
Awesome video within ~45 mins. I sailed Carnival Panorama to Mexican Riviera, last year, and will be sailing Carnival Venezia in September to Canada. I’m looking forward to seeing the similarities as I loved the Panorama. Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m even thinking of booking the limousine service to the cruise terminal. ❤
Great video, so well done. If you keep at it, the channel will become huge.
Thank You Solo Cruise & Travel for an excellent review of the Carnival Venezia and compliments on your editing.
That’s so kind of you. I hope it brought you some great insight on the ship and what it’s like to rock out with Carnival fun “Italian Style”
I have gained 10 lbs just watching this video.😊
@@SoloCruiseTravel haha it’s truuuuue! I’ve never been on a cruise myself but totally related to this comment 😂 I swear I’ve gained weight via consumption of content over the years 🤦🏻♀️😂
That was a great review, so glad you enjoyed your cruise, we work hard to make it fun!
Thank you for sharing. I found the video about a cruise vacation to be highly enjoyable and one of the best I've ever seen.
That means so much to me, thank you for your kind words and for taking time to watch. I have a few other full trip reports also available here on the channel, if you are interested. Happy cruising!
We cruised the Venezia on the maiden voyage from Barcelona to NYC. We loved the ship and enjoyed all the new “Italian “ style flair! We would happily sail her again.
That’s great to hear. How neat you got to be a part of the maiden voyage!
What a fabulous review! From embarkation to the early morning Manhattan views, I enjoyed every moment. I just found the channel and I am definitely subbing. Thanks you! 🙂
You’re too kind. Thank you for your feedback. So glad to have you along for the journey.
this was a great video very informative to start to finish thank you i look forward to more stay safe and blessed
Thanks for your kind feedback. Just released a new trip report on the Carnival Radiance, if you’re interested!
This was by far my favorite Carnival Venezia video. This was such a thorough and detailed cruise review. I can't wait to sail on this beautiful ship. Thanks for sharing!!! 😀
Glad you enjoyed it! Really appreciate your kind words. When do you board the Venezia?
Sailing the Venezia in 60 days, and this video was really helpful, well done!
Great video. I always embark after 12:30 pm at every port. I usually just walk on after check in. I'm also to go to the cabin after muster.
Thank you for sharing. On November, its going to be my first solo trip on Firenze. Pretty stoked about it. Your vid was very informative.
Thank you for your kind words. You are going to have a wonderful time. I will be doing my first Firenze cruise in August!
Thank you! Very informative! New to Solo Cruising.
Welcome aboard! So glad you found value in the content. More to come.
Thank you!! This was the best and most informative overview of Venezia! … And I’ve watched them all… 😳 I’m not a solo cruiser but your thoughtful insights are interesting, helpful and on point! Your style is much more eloquent and professional than most travel agents and content creators! 👍👍Was a little hesitant about our upcoming Venezia cruise, but your video helped adjust my attitude and am looking forward to enjoying your positive advice and suggestions. Thank you!!
Your feedback is so appreciated. Thank you for the kind words. I was perplexed by the end of the voyage why the ship itself receives such polarizing reviews. Outside of the few things I noticed (that were not major issues to me) it’s a beautiful vessel with a lot going on. When is your upcoming cruise and where is it heading?
Superbowl Sunday 2/11, it’s a great itinerary, 12 nights to Antigua, Grenada, Dominica, St. Lucia and St. Maarten 😎
Thank you, thank you, thank you...
for your review of the Venezia. I'm even more excited now, then I was last year. Scheduled to cruise in July. Been looking at many reviews of this ship. It seems that things have gotten much better since the initial maiden voyage. I'm so excited and happy to see that. Traveling with some friends who are first time cruisers and feel that they will have a fantastic time.I have forwarded your review to them🤗🤗🤗🤗👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏🙏
Aww that is great to hear! Thanks for watching and for the feedback. This is a great ship with a lot of fun to be had. Where is the Venezia taking you in July?
I really do love and I mean love this boat. That is a gorgeous boat. It’s is so beautiful
Great video! I subscribed. I see big things for your channel. you'll be great at things like lie-flat buissness class and off-site disney resorts. look forward to more content.
Took this boat on a 8 day cruise back in june 2023 on the second sailing. New Yorkers were very on this boat
What a great review. Thank you
That made my day. Thank you for taking time to watch and share your feedback.
Thank you! Booked a cruise on Venezia for March 2025 out of Canaveral. Was excited to check her out and now even more so!!
You bet! Thrilled for your trip. I hope it’s everything you are looking for.
I’m going on the FIRENZY in August for a week to Cabo I can’t wait. I live by lbc so it’s nice. I been on the panorama, radiance and inspiration before they got ride of it. This one looks so nice. I can’t wait .😮
Best review/tour video I’ve seen so far!
@@oceanblue9325 why thank you for that. Helps me know I’m on the right track. Grateful for you watching.
Just a quick "hey" and hope you have some great cruises planned for the summer. Heading back out on the Venezia again in mid September 2024 - up to Halifax and then Bermuda with an overnight (then back to NYC) - Chef's Table and a few other specialty restaurants. Keep up the Solo reviews too! Maybe to Alaska? That's on my bucket list for 2025.
Carnival Venezia was really nice i dont get why people dont like it i went on it from january 23rd to febuary 2nd this year 2024 its really fun
Yeah I don’t get it either. Many of the “complaints” I’ve read in critic forums are not things I witnessed or felt made that much of an impact to my enjoyment.
I sailed solo on Carnival Venezia on December 28 for the nine day cruise from New York City to the Bahamas. Had a wonderful time! I had a balcony cabin that was amazingly spacious and comfortable! We ate nightly at the Marco Polo restaurant which had fabulous food; the best I’ve ever had on a cruise! The bars are plentiful and service is both helpful and pleasant. I don’t know if this helps you decide but thanks for reading it!
Appreciate your endorsement of the Venezia as well. What a great ship. Happy to hear you also had such a good time.
Food looks great on this cruise. I really need another vacation like this.! I'll go to the steak house rest myself. Peanut butter with your choc. desert? eew! Pigs island lol.
Amazing vid..thx..ur voice is awesome..should be on radio or a podcast
That’s really nice of you. Thanks so much for watching and for your feedback.
I did a solo trip on this ship in early January. I will say that, at least on my sailing (a 7-night out of NYC) overcrowding was a definite issue. The lido area was always packed, there were always lines at every food venue. The saving grace for me (and the reason I'm happily booking it again) is that I stayed in an aft-facing terrazza cabin. This meant I had access to the gorgeous terrazza area, which was never crowded (unlike the packed-to-bursting Serenity deck).
Thanks for your perspective. Sorry to hear the crowding was so bad for you. I didn’t come across too many lines when it came to food outside of the buffet. The lido was definitely very impacted during sea days. I’ll have to stay in the terrazza section someday.
Lol... Tony.. as you know the mystery of the gathering of making towel animals is a class that is offered on all the ship
So I was talking to you about this ship on another video of yours and you sent me the link for this! You said this was during Halloween? So there was no Halloween themed parties or anything?
Good morning my family and I will be on cruise July 2024 I can't wait 🎉🎉
zyou have covinced me. I was wondering how this ship would be.And i'm only cruised a couple of other ships but thirty years ago. I want to start cruising again and I think i'm gonna go ahead now and book the this ship for next year. Thanks for an outstanding video!!!
I’ll be solo on this ship, May 6th 2024 11 day
What a nice long trip! Wishing you all the fun. Where will it be taking you?
Good Morning! Back from my wonderful Venezia (2.23 - 3.3) and reporting on Top 10 Miami Tour! Excellent!!!!! At Miami, walked straight to the 3 buses. I loaded up on the last bus and Danny was our tour guide. Brother of Michael who was on the 2nd bus. Drove all over and despite the Monday Miami traffic and construction it was great! Finally in Little Havana there was Michael scooting all over the place. Great lunch at El Cristo Restaurant too! Danny made sure I had a few extra Cuban coffees too! Walked all over too! The 2 brothers did a fantastic tour and it was fun! Thanks again!
LOOOOVE hearing this! So glad it was worth it to you. Thanks for sharing.
I just got off the horn with Michael, apparently he heard about this and evidently that really was his brother! I thought maybe Danny saying that was him meaning they’re brothers as tour guides haha. What a small world!!
@@SoloCruiseTravel Yes! His real Bro! lol Michael used one of those "foot" scooters and was zipping all over the place. Bro Danny did not - lol. What's Michael's FB again? I can't find it. Thanks again. K/NJ

Great video, cool family.
Wanted to ask any general quick tips for a family of six, our youngest she is 6 and our oldest, he's 17. We will be traveling this coming August.
Subscribed.
Thanks for subbing. Your 6 year old might love the kids club and your 17 year old will probably appreciate all of the night life and parties going on in the evening.
Definitely Italian themed ship, as can be seen at 5:49 where the Winged Lion of Venice stands atop a pillar above the bar.
Solo cruiser here (mostly on the Radiance but have done a solo on the Miracle as well) and was looking at booking some solo cruises on the Firenze for next year. Watched this just to get an idea of what these italian ships look like and I think I will really enjoy it (I loved the Panorama when I was on it). Definitely going to book at least one (maybe two) solo cruise for next year.
Good for you! Yes these Italian ships are a tasteful step up from Carnival’s typical motif and just feel more high end, but for roughly the same price. Like I said in the video, this one was so close to the Panorama layout that I instantly knew where I was going when I first walked on. Happy cruising to you!
They could painted the smoke stack to - Carnival colors.
This way they can return it to Costa once their new Carnival ships get phased in.
@@Springer_maniac , Carnival having another EXCEL Class ship coming out in 2027
Was this by chance the October 14th sailing? I was on that cruise if so
I just got back from a trip on the Valencia. And I thought it was a beautiful comfortable ship.
Great video, going on it's sister ship later this year. How does tipping work on cruises for breakfast room service and free food?
Thanks for watching. While it is personal for everyone, I tip a few dollars on complimentary/included breakfast room service. You can do so with cash or you can do so by adding it to your stateroom account when you sign for it.
After cruising onboard a few Carnival ships last year, I'm keen to explore their other options. I actually didn't realise that this 'Italian' ship was Vista class - I loved my time on Panorama, so I reckon I'd really enjoy this one!
Yeah it was a pleasant surprise! Felt like a fancier Panorama. Happy cruising.
Wait a minute...the Duo Singers went to Venezia ! I met them on Radiance last spring break.
Very good narration of your cruise. We are going on Venezia Oct 2025. Still trying to decide which airport to use. I have a few questions, if you don't mind. What limo service did you use and how did you deal with your luggage when you were walking around Times Sq? Thank you!
You’re gonna have a great time! I’ve learned that for this port it’s better to fly into Newark instead of JFK as it’s much closer and will likely cost you less. The limo was through Best Limo NYC. And when it came to luggage I don’t travel anywhere unless I can backpack it the whole way, and that’s what I did for this trip. The bag is always with me and I don’t have to worry about where to store it or how it will get from one place to another. One more perk of solo travel 😉
In Freeport they're downtown area is fabulous They have stores from every country in the world. And if you're in the Bahamas and see conch fritters for sale buy them they are so good.
Carnival Cruise Line has excellent service and the food is really good. Haven't been on the Venezia. Really enjoyed my cruises on the Carnival Triumph, however, Carnival redid the ship. Took out some lounges and put in more staterooms. As the Carnival Sunrise it isn't nearly as nice as it was as the Triumph. Also like the Carnival Vista Class.
❤❤
If I was ever landing in/near Manhattan, I would most definitely be staying in the city! Most certainly not to catch a cruise although I DO ❤ one of Venezia’s cruise directors!!
For two nights in the city at a decent hotel plus food & entertainment, I could take a 9 day trip to the Bahamas. I'll stick with the cruise! lol
Someone tripped over an extension cord lol🎉🎉🎉🎉
For your solo cruise you mentioned the price was a double occupancy price. So did you pay as if 2 people would be there but only one showed up, or did you book as a single and was charged as if it was a double? I'd be interested in seeing a video on how you book as a single, if you have one.
The latter part. You book as a single and you pay the double occupancy. Sometimes as a voyage gets closer lines will lower that double occupancy price based on bookings. But you gotta be able to book and go.
Over the last few days, I’ve researched Carnival ships, and have come back with a very negative feeling regarding them in general. I’m hoping this ship is different and hopefully not as rowdy as all of the videos I have been seeing. If anybody has any opinions, they are welcomed.
Please keep in mind that as rowdy as those videos look, the beauty of Carnival is you can just avoid those events. Most videos you see will be during the deck parties or in the dance club, I avoid them when I’m not in the mood to deal with the crowds. Find a chaise to hang out and enjoy either the sun (sail away) or the breeze (in the evenings)
@@jaimeriley1281 thank you! fortunately we are going to be on the back of the boat for the sail away party because of our room location. Hopefully it’s a little calmer. After 20+ years in the music industry, noise and crowds just don’t sit well with me anymore.
I don’t think it’s the steakhouse, if you dine at any specialty restaurant on the first night, they give you a bottle of wine
I bring a white noise device to turn on at night.
@@SoloCruiseTravel you might have noisy neighbors! My last cruise, they were and had a weed party as well.
I agree that I feel like PG comedy show can be better. I am not a native English speaker, so I think pg18 show may have more words I can't understand, except the swearing and F word, then I can not really get the same fun as other people.
The italian ships serve too much pasta. In the old days you will go to the dining hall which was free and you could order almost anything. A lot to choose from. Now you go to the dining room and they might have four different entrees and you get tired of that so you go to all the other specialty restaurants and pay a big price. I wouldn't cruise any Italian ships anymore they're too laid back with employees and service
Thanks for your perspective. This ship has two main dining rooms that are complimentary and each day there were a minimum of nine entrees to choose from plus a long list of appetizers. Too much pasta was never my experience, in fact, there were only two or three nights where a pasta dish was an option. But the nice thing is that daily they change the menu and the options to keep it fresh.
I’m wondering why you cruise solo.
Thanks for asking. In short: it’s enriching and liberating. You get to do what you want when you want, explore destinations you’ve only dreamed of and get to meet so many amazing people along the way. Plus, waiting for others to agree to the cruise or timeframe you want is often difficult to align. None of us are getting any younger so it’s important to go and do now while you can. I get into this deeper in one of my latest videos about why you should cruise solo in 2024.
@@SoloCruiseTravel I honestly don’t think I could do it. I would get lonely.
@@user-zq7nx1po1z it’s become an absolute joy. Finding peace in traveling solo takes some time but first you have to become your own best friend and then you won’t have an issue. Wishing you all the best on your journey if you decide you wanna try it.
