I really hope Norsca gets a DLC that gives them more of an identity because right now they kinds just feel like "Diet Warriors of Chaos"
yes and no they have some very good units and mechanics that the Warriors dont have but it would be nice if they get a DlC with another Lord and maybe add some needed things like Troll Lords and Heroes
Walled Settlements would be nice too

I too would enjoy a Chaos faction that has a bit more personality beyond rabid screeching. The Chorfs being a fantastic example of this.
@@PicklednSaltedThat’s basically all Chaos is in Warhammer though. The Chorfs are a minor exception to that.
Calling it now: Fires of War Khorne DLC's other factions are gonna be Norsca and Bretonnia.

Any dlc that has the potential to kill a man is a dlc I would buy

While Ice Trolls and Marauder Champions are both amazing units, with the Lizardmen Skirmisher and Salamander meta I think there are 2 better options:
1 - Fimir... they come with high armor and base missile resist to resist a lot of that Lizardmen poke. Really the only think that can punch through it (in the current meta) is Razordon packs or Kroxigors. Otherwise Fimir can still hit hard and provide mass to a marauder frontline.
2 - I know theres a lot of hate for Augment spells and understandably so... but in this specific matchup against the Lizards I think Lore of Metal with Overcast Glittering robe does wonders. 35m AoE +60 armor. Ice trolls will get their healing and have 120 armor for 44 seconds as well as their marauder chaff. Neither skirmishers nor Salamanders have AP... so the trolls will be extremely tanky for that 44 seconds. That should be long enough to punch through the front line with a combined effort and then dive into their backfield.
As a side note I think bringing 1 or 2 Beserkers is nice. Saurus warriors are so tanky against practically everything. I think Norsca's best tool against Saurus is Zerkers. In a straight fight zerkers will win. Not confidently, but paired with the lore of Metal passive, glittering robe, and maybe some hero support it would drastically change the difference. I say only 1 or two because theyre so expensive and so snipeable by Slanns that you really only need Zerkers for a support piece.
Man if norsca got an army for the old world i might actually be interested in getting into that. I love the aesthectic of chaos vikings so much, and frost wyrm and war mammoth models would be so badass on tabletop.
Granted they need a little bit more of an identity than they have right now in total war, but theres so much norse mythology that you could pull from that the possibilities are practically endless
You could definitely make them out of a warriors of chaos roster! Just kitbashes + 3rd party stuff!!
bjunas the salamanders. It frees so much of the rest of your army up to achieve other tasks and mentally it frees your mind to make more decisions. Salamanders cannot be allowed to acrew value. I say that as a lizardman player who always gets bjunad
I think people sometimes sleep on salamanders since they don't skirmish so if you aren't CONSTANTLY watching them they can get pinned and killed easily but God help whatever unit they start firing at.
That constant skink fire was withering. That'll happen on them bigger jobs when you've got objectives to hold. Great game.
Also for value it would be nice if ammo could be taken into consideration. Taking out a unit that barely got to shoot vs taking out one that used all of its ammo are massively different values

Healing should give value to unit based on the amount healed.

Turin, I used to watch your vids like everyday there was a new upload up until warhammer 3 new capture the flag battle mode, didn’t really dug into me. Would appreciate if you could bring back more classic land battles.
