Fun Fact. You called the colour "white" but if you parked it next to a white car it has a distinctive powder blue hue to it & does not look true "white". The colour is actually Diamond White & suits the car perfectly - the sort of colour that doesn't age. Got an XW myself, same colour with the original MK IV aircon that works great & power steer. Great cars for cruising & always attract plenty of attention.

It's not a tribute it looks like a hot wheels car with those rims and tires and this is the sad part the young don't appreciate what they originally were.
I believe the owner is looking to sell the wheels and put on original ones. Personally I don't mind changing rims for a more aggressive or nicer than stock look however I would always have the original wheels at hand and swap them over depending on the occasion. For me GT's look best with gold Simmons but I would have the originals for special occasions and swap depending.
Its got a 69 xw gt bonnet on a 70 xw gt ? Black outs on bonnet should be satin not Gloss ! XY mirrors ! Definently a mix up car. Not to mention XY horns on inner gard instead of xw horns on radiator support !

I actually love the Kiwi accent and I'm happy if my mix of Greek and Aussie brings out the New Zealand accent. I have only bern in Australia for 4 years after a 20 year stint in Greece.
