  • In this video I do a review of Olukai Flip Flops. I've owned these for about 8 months now, and I give you an honest, unbiased review. I'm not sponsored, nor affiliated with Olukai in any way, and I am not getting paid to do this video. Thanks for watching!

    Yes, they are worth the money, hands down. Quality- perfect. Arch support- INSANE!!! Surpasses all Reef has to offer and I've tried the better part of 13 models of Reef's. As commented elsewhere, that comes from someone who swore by Reef Flip flops for 13 years. Wish I'd tried Olukai far earlier. I've been a complete convert for the past 2 months.

    Good video. I like this kind of content as it helps me a lot to know people's experience. I have a pair of these olukai and they are quite good, comfortable and durable. And as you say, to take care of your feet it is always better to buy this type of flip flops with a good arch support, especially for recovery if you use them for a long time. I also recommend reef flip flops, what other quality brands have you used? I would like to see the evolution of these flip flops over time or new reviews of other pairs.
    Thank you very much!

    I got these to try out from an orthopedic shoe store, and really loved the browns, I have wide feet and my left foot is problematic so I have to be picky with footwear since my right foot is completely normal, I’m typically a size 8 in flips of any brand, however for olukais because the strap at the back feels tight at a size 8 for me, I had to up size to a 10, yes they’re rather oversized but man are they comfortable! Nice and loose but they fit the width of my foot perfect at a size 10 even if they look like I’m a kid wearing my parents shoes haha, just don’t get them wet, u won’t have fun with ur feet slipping and the post of the sandal pulling between ur toes, thankfully with just a towel just firmly pad them dry and ur good to put them on without the slippery feel

    olukai used to be good but no more. 16 or 17 years ago my first pair lasted 5 years+ or so and I wore them all day long doing everything (most sandals wouldn't last weeks on my feet before falling apart), now olukai has changed to cheaper materials or something for many years now and have bad quality and will last only months now before falling apart or start looking old or leaving stains or marks on your feet, I was in denial to switch to other companies but finally I did to Ortho and my feet have no more pain and feel happy again, so long olukai (average I paid for pair of olukai $70)

    Are these better than DAWGS? I have to wear shoes in the house because of foot problems also. Thanks! Great endorsement!!!

    I'll add my two cents to demonstrate why these flip flops, and pretty much any other Olukai product is worth the price. I have two pair of the flip flops, one pair is the same model as in this video, and that is my newer pair that I've had for about 6 months. My older pair I've had for two years and they are still as comfortable as day one after break in. Then I have three pair of boat shoes. They are awesome. One of those three pair did not quite fit correctly in that the right shoe seemed to be out of spec. I simply called Olukai all the way out in Hawaii, and yes a human does answer the phone after the first couple of rings, and I explained the issue. She said no problem and sent me out a new pair no questions asked. Did not even require me to send the defective pair back to them, so that is why I have three pair of the boat shoes, lol.

      I have a pair of the boat shoes as well (Moku Pae), and they are my favorite shoe. I’m thinking of doing a review of those soon as well. Thanks for watching!

    I bought my first pair about 6 years ago. I just bought my second pair. That's how long they lasted me with almost daily use. I got some for my brother and girlfriend, and they're still going after years.

      I've got the nohea mesh shoes. I like them a lot, but I don't wear them as much as the sandals. I just got the tuahine. Thought I'd try leather this time.

    Good review of your Olukai flip flops 🩴. I am a huge huge fan of flip flops 🩴 that is all I can wear. My foot outgrow shoe , socks , & boots when I was 18 years old & Flip flops 🩴 is the only footwear that will barely and I mean barely fit on my feet 🦶 because my toes are wider than the flip flops 🩴 straps. I have big very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide with very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. I have 2 questions? #1. Are these wide cuz they look wide & #2. What size are they? They look on the big size? I am either barefooted 👣 or wearing flip flops 🩴the flip flops 🩴 I have now both of my lil toes hang off the footbed of my flip flops 🩴 but that is because of my toes being Evenly straight across instead of being at a 45° Degrees angle like everybody else toes are. I have what they call box toes & having very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across don't help. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing it.

    I had a pair of those. I have very narrow feet so after about a year, I gave them to my sister in law. She was a big girl with big feet. She wore them for about five years every day even in winter. She passed away before she wore them out.

    so they don't stretch out like the cheaper sandals? I wouldn't mind spending more money for better quality, I learned this from a pillow that I bought and paid $129 for, 5 years later, still the best pillow I have ever owned

    • @InstinctBassin
      @InstinctBassin  Před rokem

      So they stretch a little to fit your feet, but nothing like cheaper sandals. They do take about a week to break in, depending on how often you wear them.

      From someone who swore by Reef for the better part of 13 years now- not anymore in the last 2 months. Wish I'd tried Olukai earlier. I can appreciate Reef- but only Lord knows how much money I've wasted on finding the perfect reef flip flop. The reef Fanning's have gotten far less comfortable since they came out in 2004 and the Reef Cushion lux isn't the best for all-day wear. The reef Ortho-spring was the better choice. The Olukai Ohana did it for me. The first pair I bought was the Olukai Kipi- just as good. Sure they're not cheap but you pay for quality.

      @Nigel Robertson the olukais I have can't remember what style/model they are yes they are very comfortable and the build quality and craftsmanship in then are top notch. They look really good with khaki shorts or even jeans nice casual summer outfits. My only gripe about b then is they "recommend" you not get them wet. They way the bottom is made they are leather with 6-10 individual rubber tread pads that "punch through " the leather sole plate each pad is double stitched to the leather but, from going to beach and getting wet the leather foot pad on bottom has started its shrink and gotten all wrinkled

    100% BS ... I bought a nice pair of Havaianas (from Brazil) for US$30, and they are more stylish, durable and confortable then those ugly olukais sandals !
