    $185 for the day bag?!? I’ll take an Aer Go 2, thank you 🙂

    • @arlencarlson
      @arlencarlson Před 9 měsíci +3

      It does seem a bit pricey. Nevertheless I ordered one…because I found on a recent trip that my much smaller sling just wasn’t large enough while the Aer Go 2, which I also have, was at times too large. So I think the day back hits a sweet spot for me. I do see myself having to evaluate my needs for any given trip I will take-at times I can easily see myself bringing the Go 2. Whereas other trips I would plan to bring the new day pack.

      Agree! Insanely overpriced.

    • @spence7
      @spence7 Před 9 měsíci +2

      In case anyone was wondering the differences in size is 3 centimeters with of course Aer Go 2 being larger. BUT, the Aer Go 2 is also lighter by 0.3 lbs so something to consider if weight is a factor

    • @arlencarlson
      @arlencarlson Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@spence7 Admittedly I did take note of that too. If weight matters and size matters, the Aer Go 2 may be the choice. For mine own use case, I could easily see myself alternating between both depending on trip type.

    • @arlencarlson
      @arlencarlson Před 8 měsíci +1

      Going to reply to myself on this one...my package arrived today. Does appear that the new MBP's (M1 Pro is what I have) are a bit tight in the 15L Daily/Sling bag. Mine has a protective plastic case...so that could make the difference. So something to note. And for that reason, there may be more instances where I would opt for the Aer Go2. Now, with a smaller machine that point becomes moot.

      So is there any reason your 15L is 185 dollars? It’s crazy expensive for such a basic bag

  • @tom-ks4th
    @tom-ks4th Před 9 měsíci +1

    Hey, thank you very much for this review. The new Pakt has an excellent design and seems to be functional. And too expensive. Despite that I do not like zippers I can not lock up. For a 35L or 45L I do expect that. What I am surprised about is what they do with the word mark "Pakt". White on black and on blue, etc. - it looks cheap. I definitely prefer the "old" version of the Pakt Packpack.

  • @j_orpz
    @j_orpz Před 2 měsíci +1

    This bag looks great; I love the ability to tuck a smaller "EDC" bag into it. I'd use something like this for my CamelBak daypak when on trips. I usually travel with a larger sized carry-on suitcase, plus a backpack. I'm curious if something like the Pakt in the video would be overkill with something like the Away "Bigger" Carryon? Also I did not realize bags of this caliber were so expensive....

    Was waiting for this review and other ones yet to come for this new V2 Travel Bag Combo. Very well done and thanks for the various call-outs too. Now I am even more excited for my pre-order to arrive so that I can get travelling with it. I do wonder your thoughts on the harness that attaches with carabiners at the bottom-are they sturdy? I can’t think of another backpack that uses that sort of thing.

      Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! That’s great you have one coming your way, I hope you enjoy using it as much as I have! Regarding the clips, I have seen this on a variety of travel bags that allow you to hide the straps away, it’s not my favorite system but I haven’t run into any durability issues with the bags I have tried out

    Great bag. Could see this for business travel. Often I need to take a day bag around while in market and emptying my travel bag every time is super annoying. I could see the 35L, 15L and a roller luggage work well for a 3 day business trip. Big guys have bigger clothes and so size and durability is huge for me.

    Great Video AS USUAL Danny - I do like the 35L - but ALSO like the Day pack. Would you still prefer the AER GO for everyday carry/Packable IF you would be using the 35L? - I LOVE the idea of being able to simply drop the 15L (with all my EDC) into the larger bag (without unpacking them) if for example I need to go to my kids swim meet and need more space. I do not travel much yet but hoping to in the future (more weekend trips) - but I love the concept/modularity. I am also more of a messenger style person for Everyday - but I like the using only 1 strap on the 15L. Please share your thoughts…. I am unfortunately a bag snob/goldilocks bag user :) -- Thank you!

    Excellent review Danny, I would say the best on Pakt I have watched full stop! I have this pack and is close on perfect for me, the only downside is the lack of lockable zips. Price wise it is obviously not cheap but neither are Aer, Minaal etc and they are all contenders. I think with the quality of construction and material choice you should get many years of use.

    I bought the 35L Pakt travel backpack which was already expensive so not sure about getting the 15L too, or trying to find a cheaper alternative that would fit. One thing I would want to know if I did get the Pakt 15L is if it still fits inside of the 35L bag when packed out. Also could you recommend a cheaper bag that would fit in the same Pakt backpack? It would be cool in the video to see if you trying to fit other bags in there especially ones that you had packed with like a sweatshirt or something bulky.

    Does the extra 10L from the Expandable pocket make it 35L or closer to 45L when all packed out? Just curious if the 35L advertised is when the pack is fully packed out or not? Torn between getting the 35L or the 45L bag.

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Thank you for watching and good question! This one is a little trickier to tell with given the layout of the bag, but To me it felt like the bag could hold about 35l without expanding and then the expansion added to the 35

    • @P0WSEETr

      Depends on the airline/aircraft
      If it fits under the seat in front of you, then it's a personal item

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  Před 9 měsíci

      Thank you for watching! I think it depends on the airline and how tightly you pack it out, if you fully pack and expand I don’t think it will qualify on most airlines but if it’s not as full it might fit under the seat on some of the larger airlines
