I don't think MiHoYo has made a proper psychopath since the release of Genshin. Sparkle seems like she knows she is unhinged and embraces it fully

They’re really adding more fuel to the fire that she’s an Emanator of Elation. Not sure I’m convinced myself, but I’ll admit it’d be a fun twist to raise the stakes. How can we make the next update more dire? You don’t have to fight just one emanator (Acheron), you gotta fight *two*!

One of my favorite things about HSR is that they don't seem to be afraid to make characters that are bad/villains/straight up insane. In Genshin it feels like every character is so morally good.
Honkai is indeed known for darker plots but Genshin characters definitely aren't all morally good. Some of the harbingers are definitely evil. It just seems they started with the less evil ones who have a good side.
I knew she was crazy but this is beyond that...don't know why but this trailer actually made me doubt if I want her on my account...I mean I'll pull for her but I'll feel iffy while doing it 😅
