That Tales of the New Teen Titans comic that Joivan Wade is reading was one of the first comics I ever bought for myself when I was a kid. Made me a New Teen Titans and Cyborg fan for life.

@@tbuckley2031 That spotlight series was great, really helped to develop all those characters. Think there was a Cyborg issue written by J. Michael Straczynski with Two-Face as the villain, made for a cool visual dynamic with both characters.

@@harryc1971 It was during the height of the pandemic, that traveling became a huge hassle to come from overseas to America where they shot... so it was probably decided to end his time on the show, plus narratively there wasn't much left for the Chief and to focus on the core Team members because there are only so many ways to keep working with Niles, if the Doom Patrol hate his guts. Plus... it probably wasn't cheap to get Timothy Dalton aboard as an actor.

Dalton is an in-demand actor. Also it wasn't unusual for the Chief to disappear for years in the comics either.

Hawkman and Hawkwoman (or Hawkgirl) have one of the oldest and most powerful romances in DC. The two Golden Age heroes were members of the JSA and have been recurring heroes throughout DC, locked in a continuing, shared cycle of reincarnation across time and space.
Hawkman and Hawkwoman have been drawn to one another through fate throughout their many lives, from Ancient Egypt to Thanagar. The two are tied together by destiny and their ages old relationship has been one of the most underappreciated parts of the DCU.

Green Arrow And Black Canary Were Hit By Cupid's Arrow
Green Arrow and Black Canary are one of the most recognizable and iconic couples in DC, certainly when it comes to the Justice League. Since the 1960s, the duo have had one of the sweetest relationships in the DCU, and are one of the best examples of heroes who are partners in every sense of the word.
Green Arrow and Black Canary have shared a tumultuous relationship, especially during the harsher era of Green Arrow in the '70s and '80s. However, their romance has remained a fan-favorite, both in comics and TV, so much so that it was one of several couples restored in Rebirth.
I'm half way through season 3 on blu ray and I mean this with love and respect to every cast and crew member from movies, animation, TV, comics, audio, and games but along with ALL the DCAU the first 4 seasons of flash and arrow, along with ALL of stargirl, swamp thing, Superman and Lois, titans, and young justice some animated movies along with some green lantern/justice league/outsiders/teen titans/Batman/Superman/JL Dark/detective comics/Wonder Woman comics with a few DCEU films THIS may be the greatest DC property ever. The show is such a mess with great heart with a cast to fall in love with A BILLION TIMES over give them their flowers and awards.
April Bowbly as Rita is my absolute favorite, I really hope we see her soon and give us a movie please.

Doom Patrol = Hidden Gem
I did not know that cyborg was English. That voice at the end totally threw me off.
These comic book couples have added something great to the DC Universe and made the investment in the characters pay off for fans. So popular are comic book relationships that issues based around marriages have been known to be some of the highest selling comics. And while every romance in DC has its fans, there are some loving relationships that stand out from the rest, setting the bar high for the other heroes.

Barry Allen And Iris West Outran Death To Be Together
Barry Allen, DC's second Flash, has been with his love interest Iris West since the Silver Age. Rather than many superhero romances that begin with friendship, Barry and Iris have been a great couple since their debut. From the outset, the two were fiancés. Sadly, their love has run into a number of speed bumps over the years, with both Iris and Barry having died at different points, but not even death can keep these two apart.
Although Barry and Iris' relationship status has changed with continuity, the strength of them as a couple and their wholesomeness hasn't. By day, Barry and Iris share a perfectly picturesque and unassuming romance, with Barry having proven himself to do whatever it takes to keep Iris safe.
Midnighter And Apollo Perfectly Balance Each Other Out
The story of Apollo and Midnighter began in the Wildstorm Universe with The Authority, a darker and grittier superhero team than DC is used to. The team's leading characters, Apollo and Midnighter, form a great romance together, with their personalities balancing each other out. The relationship betwen the two continued as the Wildstorm Universe was merged with the DCU.
Despite the more violent and intense nature of their missions together, Midnighter and Apollo have a surprisingly sweet romance. The darker and more cynical Midnighter and super-powered and lighter Apollo makes for a perfect contrast for their romance.

Aquaman And Mera Rule Together
Aquaman and his queen, Mera, form one of the most powerful relationships in DC Comics, not least because of their status as rulers of Atlantis. For years, Mera helped Arthur Curry in his rule and understanding of Atlantis and the two shared a beautiful romance.
Arthur and Mera have faced many of their threats together and are united in their shared duties to Atlantis. In the Rebirth era, Arthur and Mera welcomed a baby into their lives which gave them new obligations together, and were strengthened by Aquaman's return from the dead.
Hal Jordan And Carol Ferris Share An Adversarial Romance
The best relationship of DC's Silver Age, Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris have undergone much turmoil throughout the years. Originally a classic superhero romance, with Carol unaware of Hal's identity as Green Lantern, changes forced their romance to take a turn.
In later years, Carol fell under the control of a powerful gem and became Star Sapphire, taking on a villainous role in Hal's life. Often, Hal and Carol's love for one another proved powerful enough to overcome the influence of the sapphire. Thankfully, their romance once lost was restored in DC's Rebirth era.

Lois Lane and Superman share the strongest marriage in comics. They have been together for decades, and were one of the first will they/won't they couples in comics, dating back to the Golden Age. The two defined the superhero relationship with the secret identity and their regular lives clashing.
Together, Lois Lane and Clark Kent have battled the worst enemies in the universe and have formed the greatest family in the DCU. Their marriage has endured some of the harshest challenges, and they have been made better by their roles as parents.
Wonder Woman And Steve Trevor
Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor have proven to be a great couple in the DC Universe when they're paired up. The origin of their relationship is especially touching, with Steve finding himself washed up on the shores of Themyscira only to later guide Diana in man's world. The dynamic of Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor is a flip on the usual "damsel in distress" that is so common in comics, making it stand out from the other relationships in the DCU.
Disappointingly, DC often seems unsure on how best to handle the relationship between Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor, and have switched things up for both characters in different eras. Modern comics have seen the two share a partnership more akin to close colleagues and teammates rather than than a romantic relationship.

DC Comics is well known for its long history of characters, especially its superheroes. One of the things fans especially love about the characters are their romantic lives. DC has built up some of the greatest and most famous romances in comics, with many of these relationships having existed for decades.

Batman And Catwoman Have A Complicated Romance
Batman and Catwoman have been one of the longest will they/won't they couples in DC. What began as a straight-up hero/villain rivalry later became flirtatious and hinted at more. Soon, DC became clearer about their intentions to pair the two up for real.
Unfortunately, DC has been reluctant to follow through on the Batman and Catwoman relationship, controversially teasing a marriage that never happened. After years of seeing the Bat and the Cat come so close, only to be torn apart again, fans have started to tire of the back and forth. Still, there is no doubt that the forbidden love between Gotham's Caped Crusader and it's preeminent cat burglar is a story that captures the minds of millions.
Please get Brendan Fraser to read Crawling from the wreckage and Matt bomber to read the gerard way stuff

Martian Manhunter Should Cut Back On The Oreos
Many of DC's greatest heroes aren't human, with Martian Manhunter unafraid to make sure everyone knows about his alien heritage. J'onn J'onnz loves humanity, and he does everything he can to protect it. However, one gets the feeling that a big reason for this is Oreos. Martian Manhunter is known for his love of the chocolate cookies with the cream filling, indulging in them often.
While it's doubtful he'd get fat from them, a good resolution for J'onn would be to cut down on the cookies. He loves them, but there are healthier snacks out there. People look up to him, so his gluttonous love of cookies needs to be cut down.
Zatanna Would Remember To Take Some Time For Herself
Zatanna is a very busy woman. She has her career as a stage magician, her endless study of magic, and her place as leader of the Justice League Dark. She's always there to help her friends in the League and beyond as well, pitching in when they need help with her magical problems. She has a lot on her plate, and she doesn't really seem like she has a lot of time for herself.
Zatanna's resolution should be to take time more time for herself. Even something as simple as hanging out at the Oblivion Bar for a few drinks once a week would go a long way. Zatanna needs to unwind, and New Year's is the perfect time to resolve to do better.
Power Girl Should Be Nicer To People
Power Girl has had a tough time for years, partly because of her lack of a family. She's known for being gruff and mouthy with everyone, but there's actually a lot of vulnerability under it all. She's a person who lost her entire universe; for years, there was an emptiness inside of her that she couldn't identify because no one could remember it.
Power Girl's attitude has hurt her relationship with her fellow heroes. For New Year's, she should resolve to be nicer. She can still be mean to villains, of course, but she should work on not snapping at the heroes she works with who just want to help her and be her friend.
Aquaman Should Resolve To Be A Better King
Aquaman can be an underrated hero. It's easy to forget that his mandate isn't just the surface world and fighting alongside the Justice League. Aquaman is the protector of the oceans, as well as the king of Atlantis, the largest country on Earth. A frequent problem that Arthur has is that various people, starting with his half-brother Ocean Master but by no means ending with him, try to take his throne.
Aquaman's resolution should be to be a better king. Several would-be usurpers have talked about how much time he spends away from Atlantis as their reasoning behind trying to take over. Devoting more time to being a better king could help him in the long run.
Hal Jordan Needs To Work On Being Less Extra
Hal Jordan's time as Green Lantern has proven several things about him, most of them positive. He's a great hero who can overcome fear like few others. He's a man who cares deeply about his friends and loved ones. He'll sacrifice anything to help others. However, he's kind of a messy himbo who can be extra about things.
Hal needs to work on not being extra. That's a pretty common characteristic of many of DC's Silver Age legends, but Hal's taken it to the next level. It's definitely something he needs to work on, and it would help his relationship with his co-workers in the Corps.
Wally West's Resolution Should Be Passing On What He Learned
Wally West is a legendary DC hero, and a big reason for that is that he had a lot of people teaching him. From Barry Allen teaching him how to use his superspeed powers in intelligent ways to his fellow Teen Titans sharing what their mentors taught them to older Justice League teammates helping him on, Wally learned from the best. Now, it's time for him to pass all of that along.
Both Irey and Jai West have superpowers, and they need someone to teach them the ropes. Likewise, Wally's cousin Wallace needs a mentor to actually step up and do the work. Wally's resolution should be to take more time to pass on what he's learned. He has so much to share, which can mold his children and cousin into amazing heroes.
Nightwing Needs To Keep Using His Wealth To Help Blüdhaven
Nightwing is basically DC's main character nowadays. His quest to clean up Blüdhaven has taken up a new dimension because of the billions he inherited from Alfred. He's still fighting crime in the traditional sense, but he's also started to use his money in ways that even Bruce Wayne doesn't. It's made a huge difference in the city.
Nightwing's resolution should be simple. He should not only keep this approach, but he should go farther. Poverty breeds crime; Gotham always had the Waynes helping out, but Blüdhaven had no one. Nightwing is filling an important role in the city, and he should go even further in the new year.
Wonder Woman Should Find A Personal Life
Wonder Woman is devoted to her life as a hero. She's a Justice League stalwart and is known for fighting evil everywhere it turns up. Her mission in Man's World is to spread love and peace in the Themysciran way, something which has taken up so much of her time and life. Of all the DC heroes, Wonder Woman easily has the worst personal life.
Wonder Woman's resolution in the new year should be to actually get a personal life. Wonder Woman's entire life is her mission. She barely understands the lives of the people she predicts. There's even a feeling that the only reason she keeps getting with Steve Trevor is because of her lack of life. She should remedy that in the new year.
Superman Needs To Spend More Time With Lois
DC has some iconic romances, but none so iconic as the one between Superman and Lois Lane. Their love is perfect, and the two make an amazing couple. Their relationship is a partnership like no other; each looks at the world differently, and put together, there's nothing they miss. However, they don't always have a lot of personal time.
Superman's resolution is simple. He should resolve to spend more time with Lois. At this point, that's actually very easy. Jon, Kara, Conner, John Henry, and Natasha can all look out for things and give the Kents some private time. This is especially important after how much time Superman spent on Warworld.
Batman Should Lighten Up
Batman is the greatest vigilante on the planet. His mission to eliminate crime and save the innocent consumes his life, with him having little time for anything else. Batman barely has a life outside of being a superhero. He does the bare minimum as Bruce Wayne, going so far as to make as much of his life revolve around being Batman.
Batman needs to lighten up in the new year. His mission is undoubtedly important, but he allows the severity of it to run his life. His seriousness has hurt his relationships with his friends and loved ones, so he should definitely take a chance to lighten up.
April Bowlby... All I can remember is two and a half men.
