4:37 just might be one of the craziest plays I’ve ever seen
@ And the Brees causing Tucker first missed extra point is the point I knew this year we also are a team of destiny. Hill making a punt block was other.
Even after I get Alzheimers, I'll remember this play!
Ctfu y’all weren’t no team of destiny in the 2018 season y’all just choked again like usual Brees will retire with just one ring.
This was the reason I clicked on the video lol. Definitely one of the most odd, yet satisfying plays I've ever seen.
@@semionjohnson1351 go have ya mama change ya shitty-ass diaper and get back to us cuh.
The Meachem play before half will forever be one of my favorite plays. (In my best Henderson voice) MEACHEM STOLE DA BALL!!
The only play I like as much is the malcom Jenkins chase down 80 yards away play and tackle guy at one the team ended up not getting anything on that drive 100%effort
Jonathan Esters oml dude I remember that! Dude he went crazy fast lol
The Malcolm Jenkins strip and scoop on Cowboys Roy Williams was another memorable clutch play !! Thanksgibbin 2010
Simply an awesome moment.
I can hear Henderson still to this day
RIP will Smith ... 😥
It's pretty sad. He was killed in the garden district of New Orleans.
Will Smith ran into another guy just like himself.. road rage.. all Smith had to do was take down that guy's license plate then call the police, but no what does he do, he follows the guy off of magazine street an pulls over then that's it...
The only reason why the shooter is in prison is because he shot Smith many times in the back while trying to retrieve his gun, by then it was too late
That dude that killed Will Smith n shit his wife to should get live in prison no porole
4:40
If you want a summary of the entire 2009 Saints season, this is it.
Facts lol
They got so many absurd breaks that year, they've been forced to suffer heartbreaks for a decade plus since then to make up for it.
@@LukeR.5117 Why is it an insane break when an athlete makes a play?
It’s crazy you can hear don’t fear the reaper before it’s official
Yea right. We were dominating teams in 09. Absolute domination from preseason on. We def had things go our way when we needed them. 1st time in history that’s ever happened and hasn’t happened since but in no way was that how the team played that whole year.
I was at this game when I was 8 years old, still remember it to this day
Yo i was at this game too when i was 11 🤟
You were apart of history my man. I was there when Emmitt Smith broke the rushing record
Meachem was the MVP in this game. My goodness.
On god
An absolute classic thriller! One of my favorite games ever as a Saints fan
Maly you should have seen the 2017 Saints VS Redskins game. It was even better
Philip Tucker Oh man i remember that game brother. That was a classic also! Kamara’s insane bobble and TD was fucking dope & the 2PT to force OT & win it. Absolutely clutch by the Saints after being down 15 so late
Maly I was like man, how the saints gonna lose to the Redskins!? All the sudden Drew Bree's woke up and made 100% completions in the 4th quarter. Joe buck started yelling on commentary. My coworker was at the game and said you couldn't even hear yourself think in the dome.
One of your favorite wins as a saints fan is beating a 3-9 team led by Jason Campbell
aw look at rookie Malcolm Jenkins
Jenkins was Garbage in a Saint Uniform.
he wasn’t garbage in the uniform he was still good even really good but they weren’t using him properly plus this year and game he was a rookie
Garbage the Garbage now
@Joseph Van Horn he doesn't hate white people,it's just what Drew said was very offensive to black people. I have to admit I am black and I was very offended and I am a Saints Fan. Cause he made it seem like it was all about the flag and it isn't.Black people don't kneel to disrespect the flag, they kneel because that's their way of taking a stand against racism, thus why we have the Black Lives Matter movement, that's why Colin Kaepernick kneeled 4 years ago because he believes in Black Lives matter.I don't condone what Malcolm Jenkins said but you have to step in his shoes for a second and realize he was hurt in the moment as someone that's black.Drew took an ignorant stance.Glad he apologized and I forgive him,but he said it at the wrong moment where tensions are at an all time high and black people were hurt from the murders of people like Admaud Arbery,Breanna Taylor, and George Floyd. If you been through what we've been through you would be hurt too.
@Joseph Van Horn It was the fact that he said he won't respect anyone that disrespects the flag when asked about his views on kneeling. Thats his views, but it offended me because he made it seem like anybody that kneels is disrespecting the flag and it's not about the flag, never been about the flag.It offended me as a black person cause the kneeling thing was our stance on racism and the Black Lives Matter Movement. That's why Colin Kaepernick kneeled because he didn't like what was going on in the world like Trump being in office and he lost his job cause of it.That's why so many people in the league kneeled because they believe in what us black people believe in and that is that America was worst when Trump got in office. That's why they kneel to support people like Breonna Taylor, George Floyd,Eric Gardner that died from police brutality. You probably won't understand unless you've been through what us black people have been through over 400 years.I forgiven him tho but that's why Michael Thomas and Malcolm Jenkins were pissed.
RIP Will Smith
This was the season the colts and saints were both undefeated through November, and ended up losing more than half their combined December games before eventually facing each other in the super bowl anyway
Uhh the Saints nor the colts were in the Super Bowl this year.
@@perp2550 He was talking the 2009 season which the saints and colts were in superbowl that year
Yeah but what we did to the pats that year mmmm tasted so good made Brady quit
@@perp2550
Umm yes it is.
@@kajunkilla8287 I don't oddly remember brady quitting in that game, but 1 thing for sure, we were really bad that season
I always liked Campbell even if he wasn't the greatest NFL QB. Jeremy Shockey in anything other than a Giants uniform is always weird for me to watch.
Also, the Saints don't wear their traditional uniform set as often as they should.
He was fine. His receivers were all really good. Moss makes anyone look good.
@@derekbutts2660 Campbell had trash receivers. Outside of Santana none of them could stay healthy.
Jason Was really good this game. Should’ve won easy.
The black and gold uniforms are their best uniforms. I love my saints, but the white black and gold traditional uniforms have always been ugly. The black and gold is #1
THE PERFECT UPSET WILL ALWAYS BE 28-3 NEVER FORGET WHO DAT ⚜️⚜️⚜️
Trill•Good•Life 🤣🤣
That’s right. THE PATS
Who actually cares about the falcons they don’t matter or any other team only team that matters are the black and gold
Was at that game. one of the great highlights of my life watching this comeback in person.
After this game the Saints always have a crazy game with the Redskins with the Saints coming out on top always. WhoDAT!
Sure? I mean the last game besides the fact that the record was made that game the only way to describe it as crazy is if you say it was crazy easy.
0Clewi0 the 2017 skins vs saints match up was definitely crazy but the record game I would classify as crazy because it’ll go down in history and the saints torched us.
4:37 brees throws that defender down 😂😂😂
That's one of my favorite parts of that whole play. Brees stiff-arming the defensive guy while he's looking for a receiver to throw to.
Multi-tasking at its best...lol
I still remember that play @ 4:42-5:00. Robert Meachem stole the ball back and scored a td
Thank you for this. I’ve been trying to find these highlights for years.
In another universe Robert Meachem was a badass strong safety
Back when the Saints had them "Dogs" at the WR and TE position, we need to get them Dogs back to play along side Michael Thomas again!
Jared Cook and Emmanuel Sanders
We got em now
@@chriscastellon6007 nah we really do now
Never have I seen such a heads up play!
That play before Half - - Meachem rips away the intercepted football for a TD the other way! What a Beast
Saints and Redskins have had some crazy past few games
When Meachem took that ball away and scored, you just KNEW it was that year
I remember being at this game thinking that we were gonna beat the undefeated Saints! Only to lose and have Dallas beat them the next week, adding even more insult to injury.
Also, the Meachem strip TD basically sums up the Redskins last decade in a nutshell.
Tré’s Perspective The Saints were 12-0 after this game, then beat the Falcons the next week to move to 13-0, only for Dallas to beat them after that
Redskins under the ownership of Dan Snyder
As a Dallas fan that was glorious 😂
Man, Devin Thomas must've had a career game. Don't remember him ever being that good. Saints D must've been real bad. Nothing like Landry biting on everything. We had ZERO interior line push.
Derrick Mason That 2009 Defense statically wasn't that good but it was opportunistic, meaning it was good at the right Time and very good at creating Turnovers...it was a gang of T.O.'s and pick 6's...The games get harder and harder longer u stay undefeated no matter the record of the opponent... Redskins knew who they were playing and they were ready, but it was just our year! WHODAT
Jason Campbell played good dam if we had portis we win this game
Oh how i miss those pierre thomas screens
"Brees, sets up the screen..Pierre Thomas! Thomas still on his feet! Down to the five..MAKES A MOVE! HE'S GONNA SCORE!!!
My favorite Pierre Thomas screen vs the colts in the super bowl
What!! Cambell stunk!! Are u kidding or what!!
Lmao I remember they cut the kicker
These Saints were such a special team. Certainly one of the NFL’s best teams all time.
Big Meech 💪🏾
coldest game in DC I've ever been too. the only game where we didn't leave our seats the entire game, what s game
I just heard Don’t Fear The Reaper after the interception fumble TD call that was cool!
Robert Meachum (esp in this game) and Devery Henderson, to me, are so underrated. Both great strong fast receivers and great run blockers. This game and the Miami game from this year really showed our resilience. WHO DAT!!!
This one hurt so bad.
Everyone is talking about the Meachem touchdown and rightfully so. But you know what’s more rare? Albert Haynesworth making a play for the Redskins
boy that commentator was hating on the saints but we still pulled it out
Golden Era of the Saints right here
Back when jim zorn was the qb whisperer for washington lmao
I knew when Meachem just took the ball like that this team was going all the way lol
This game is a classic
4:36 One of the greatest plays in NFL history, and it doesn't get shown enough
I only watched this video to see meachem steal the ball and td
Prolly the best game of his career.
Still the craziest way to score a touchdown but hey you score no matter how you do it.
Meach fuckin incinerated them. 8 grabs for 142 plus stealin the interceptor's lunch money and 2 total TDs including the game tying TD.
One of the best games NFL history
This is when the redskins were the redskins it was so hard being a fan in these days look how they just gave it up and that touchdown to end second half just unreal we won that game easy ugggg
This was a fire game
that meachem play mightve been the craziest single football play i have ever seen on live tv
One of many aggravating skins losses during the Snyder era. So many blown opportunities
The famous Meach-Around
🤣🤣🤣
2 players considered somewhat busts, absolutely killed it. Meachem and Devin Thomas balled in this game
Such a lovely season that was... even 2011 season was bad ass... the offense was even better in 2011 vs 2009
Good game!!! 👍👍👍.
All Saints fans definitely thought this and the Miami game we was gonna lose. Until that second half we were dead in the water but then it happened! You could feel it was our year to win. It really was spiritual.
Man remember when Drew had that deep ball
Rip Redskins- the causes are the 4th quarter missing field goal and the Overtime Fumble☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
Outscored 10-0 in the 4th quarter and Overtime to lose 33-30
WHO DAT!!!
Jason Campbell was such an underrated quarterback.
Meachem definitely the MVP of this game and was an underrated Saints receiver
Best play of the whole game
4:54 thats why i love my saints pure awesome
First game my wife and son ever got to attend with me. one of the happiest days of my marriage...lol
6:47 Albert Haynesworth did something as a Redskin?
Hey. HEY! Let's also give him credit for using the field as a bed.
This game is the most "Redskins" game ever. 10 million chances, all blown, and just the strangest possible ways to give away a game.
Back when Brees was passing the rock all over the place
WHODAT !!!!
I remember being thankful that Greg Williams chose not to blitz us frequently. In the end we lost anyway 🙁
Saints seemed to play from behind most of the season
How about that ball placement at 2:09?
Are we gonna talk about how nasty that stiff arm was at 4:42 ?
New Orleans Saints was member NFC West Division 1970 through 1993 and Washington Redskins was member NFC East Division 1970 through 1993 era
Jeffery Robertson skins are still nfc east
I remember this game so well. Can't believe this was 10 years ago. I was so angry we let this game slide and NO stayed undefeated.
I hope you're at least old enough to remember some of the Joe Gibbs era.
Well now I just feel guilty for picking that scab further lol. Oddly enough, however, I'm a Saints fan and what you've experienced in your 31 years as a Skins fan is nearly identical to what I experienced as a Saints fan up to the year before we won the Super Bowl. Since 1993, the Skins have had just 2 division titles and 2 playoff wins. During my entire time following the Saints from 1988-2008, they only had 3 division titles and 2 playoff wins. Maybe things will change like Dan Snyder losing the team like Jerry Richardson lost the Panthers and y'all can have a real team again.
@@blakfloyd Yeah it's actually pretty stressful to go through that many years of losing, and from my standpoint as a Skins fan be a loyal fan of such a dysfunctional organization. Never really followed NO as far as upper management but I respect what they're doing now and how they handle their business on and off the field. I have hope Ron can turn things around, won't be overnight but Danny boy needs to let the men run the team. Just in the last few months a lot of changes have been made and Washington is actually acting like a normal club in the NFL. It's like being a fan of a new team if that makes any sense because when Bruce and Vinny were running the team it felt like the wheels were always going to fall off year in and out. But I still feel like Snyder will always be the cancer of my Skins for as long as he's owner and it's highly unlikely he will ever relinquish the reigns of Washington for the foreseeable future.
@@brandonc.6500 Yeah, that's why I was proposing that y'all's only true hope is for him to have an egregious scandal like the Panthers' former owner did. NFL owners basically never sell unless it's to buy a different team.
colston, henderson, & p t cruiser by far was my favorite players those years. shot out to my favorite defensive players also tracy porter & vilma. unsung hero my boy bell that championship year
Kind of funny how in 2017 the Saints faced this same situation... a supposedly improbably upset done onto them by the now WFT would them end up being an OT thriller capped off by a FG with the final score including both teams with at least 30 points. Crazy...
4:38 WOW
Do Colts vs Texans season opener from the 2010 season.
Some people probably be like, "where's Tayson Hill"? LOL.
Man. Back when Brees still had a strong arm and a all-around good receiving core. Colston, Henderson, Moore, Meachem, and Shockey. Offense was nearly pure domination. RIP saints legend Will Smith
Drew Brees With The Stiff Arm Tho... Nastyyy
To see Brees's arm strength back in the day is so crazy. Often forget how strong he was compared to his last 3-4 years in his career.
Real talk 💯, Father Time undefeated. Unless of course if you are Tom Brady 😉
It would be cool if you guys did the 1996 Playoff game between the Packers and 49'ers
I like the way you think
They showed footage of this game on madden 11 video before you go into the game
Drew Brees is on the cover of that one, right?
Albert Haynesworth sighting...he should’ve never left Tennessee
4:38 one of the craziest plays i have every seen! First Drew hands out a wicked stiff arm to the Defender. Then Brees looks, and looks. Then has to get the ball out. He throws a 50/50 ball, it gets picked. Then the Redskins Defender starts running. Gets the ball ripped from his hands and the Saints WR runs it back for a TD!!!!!!!😮🤯💪👏💯
Forgot Chris McAllister was on the team he’s a HOF n also it’s crazy how Drew is still doing it at a top level like this till this day 11 years later. As you can see the Saints Defense wasnt perfect but they caused turnovers like crazy.
00:27 oh gosh. A hit like this in todays NFL , the NFL going to fine you, suspend you for life, take your car, take your house, fine your kids, and find the college you played for to fine them too.
How did Colston never make a probowl WTF. He was Drew's main receiver for many years. He was clutch hardly ever dropped the ball and rarely fumbled he also blocked when he had to. He NEVER showboated after a TD or first down. He got robbed
Rookie Malcolm Jenkins was getting exposed left and right this game 😂
He was down on that last play
Dear lord I remember that...skins couldn't catch a break, back then we were decent but couldn't close out games,
You mean like today, how they STILL can't close out games lmao
@@kcpkp3 exactly, been a fan for years, and yes we Suck, HTTR!! One year we'll dig out the hole of mediocrity
The Saints were straight dogs that season
This game and the pats game in the Superdome was the 2 that showed we was going to "Party with the Lombardi"
And the week 7 comeback vs Miami
2009 was just the Saints’ year.
Skins got NFL’d hard on the Meachum TD in the first half and the Sellers “fumble” in overtime. I was 10 at the time and this one still sticks with me as one of the most annoying L’s I’ve witnessed, and I’ve witnessed plenty, obviously.
shot out to mr. hargrove and will smith also. rip wil.l i think it was 19 different players scored that championship year amazing !!!
I know it’s not just me..does anyone hear that sound? After every clip. It sounds like Independence Day, when they heard the aliens.
Still get pissed watching this😂
who said the saints cant win outside lol. i watched this payton/brees era play competitive games outside of the dome.
They have one of the best road records since they came. That shit is just spewed by the media who hates the Saints
The sound that sounds when TD was scored sounds like click sound of mouse of computer.
They just tied the 11-0 steelers 17-17 for a hopeful upset
And they did it
The fumble was a fumble because the elbow hadn't touched the ground. The hand did, but not the elbow
Reggie should’ve switched to slot receiver he wasn’t bout coming cross that middle though “lol
Meachem went crazy
