Thanks to you dear Marie-Anne I now have a collection of silk scarves, belts,Shoes and working on handbags! Need not be expensive. Thrift shops, sales and gently used online.Such fun getting dressed now and I get compliments.Also makes me feel better as person who suffers from anxiety wearing proper clothes.

To the lady who asked about wearing a colorful belt with a thick waist, in my opinion, if she wore a cardigan or blazer left open, you would only see the center of the belt and would therefore not make her waist appear wider.

The other day, I was showing my three-year-old granddaughter my accessories (she loves clothes!) and came across a gold belt that I've hardly ever worn. At the time, I was wearing a yellow teeshirt and everyday skirt. My granddaughter asked me to put the belt on. Result? A wow! and instant elevation! đ

Lovely to see Mr. Coco, the best companion to your look I'm sure, because he brings a smile to everyone's face. I'd love a video that covers resources (online and brick and mortar) for reasonably priced stylish accessories. Where are the some of the more reliable places to find good quality but budget minded belts, sunnies, bags, etc?
I changed from my everyday plain black shoes into very simple Cole Haan black sandals. This small choice elevated a Bishop sleeved black cardigan, a leopard print crew neck shell, and medium brown trousers.

Marie-Anne, about those belts , all look great but my favorite is white because you have white in your blouse, my eye sort of is comfortable with white. Style on budget, I think I have that because my clothes are not expensive, many from 2nd hand shops, clearance pieces, ones I make myself and then some more expensive ones which are classic and I have had them many years.I'm short and the shops are full of wide leg trousers which are NON for me. Straight legs are for me so a video showing how to style them would be much appreciated. Thank you again, great video. Thank you so much. Love you.

Love your style advice, Marie-Anne. Do you think it would be inappropriate for me to wear my deceased husbandâs Rolex watch? I have noticed that women are wearing large watches now and it makes me feel good to wear his watch instead of letting it sit in a drawer, Thank you so much!
Go for it. I wear a man's Rolex. Remember it's big so you need to factor it into your overall look. I choose just to wear my wedding ring as in my opinion any other jewellery looks just wrong.

One way to wear ballet flats with dresses or skirts is to wear ones with a pointed toe.

I retired at 40 and was wearing dressy fitted pieces. Now at 50 I refuse to wear fitted restrictive clothes and ask some suggestions for a classic comfortable look, to look well put together. I live in Ontario Canada.
The key is tailoring Charline - tailoring fits, it is not tight - style does not have to be uncomfortableđ

I used to think that matching the belt and the shoes was better if possible. Now, that I'm listening to Marieanne when considering belts and shoes, I like to take the outfit as a whole. Where is the best place for focus? For feet? Wear more contrast in shoes and less contrast elsewhere.
When traveling, one avoids drawing attention to one's handbag. When working in an office, the handbag goes in the drawer or on the over desk shelf. It's only visible during breaks, when arriving or leaving. I like a large Coach or similar because of the capacity. Yet, others do notice it more than I realize.
I often like a tan handbag and black shoes. If there were one color of shoes I would like to add, it would be navy or dark blue Mary Janes. After that, i would replace my suede brown saddle shoes. I think you call them brogue shoes. Next, would be classic burgundy penny loafers with or without tassels. My feet once loved my burgundy Enzo Angelini Loafers that fit like ballet flats. What do you think of adding clip on embellishments to shoes?
Brighton Jewelry has Jewelry for purses. One might even find a special buckle and have it put on a basic belt. These additions will be unique and give a new look to a classic piece hopefully.
As for actual jewelry pieces are much smaller since precious metals became more costly.
Those little embellishments can certainly add a touch to an outfit Barbara - I know you will keep it simple - it could be easily over done đ

When I was much younger my Gran told me that wearing pearls brought tears and so for many years I was too scared to and then one day I decided no more....I just love the style u have ......

I like the narrow navy blue belt with the jeans and striped top. I like the turquoise belt with the jeans, but not the striped top. That would be too busy.
Chic on a budget. Yes, please do a live stream on that. I gained a lot of weight in the last two or three years and now I'm losing it. I've lost a size, so far. I don't want to spend a lot on clothes that probably won't fit me next year.
What day of the week do you do live streams?

I would make sure to keep it to less than three colours in the whole outfit đ
Keeping to just three colours, Iâd add a black bag. It would match the belt, and being a dark colour it wouldnât distract from the pop of colour of the shoes. Just my 2 centsâ worth.

On a practical level, how many times would you wear a t-shirt or shirt before washing it?? I usually wear something twice then launder it, but friends think this is unnecessary. đ€
I do a sniff test. If it is natural fabric I will wear anything up to 6 times before washing.
It very much depends on what you were doing when wearing it Barbara - If I was at home working on the computer I might not launder it - if I was riding my horse yes I wouldđ
I Do also the sniffing test , and it also depends of the fiber I wear if I have to wash often or seldom.
I like to put it on a hanger to air overnight before hanging it in the closet.
???QUESTION: But how could you travel with "a whole bag of shoes" on a plane? It's easier to do so on a car trip.

I find all black tights with black suede pointed ankle strap flat shoes you cant see on they blend in with the tights and a skater skirt looks so modern and timeless the pointed toe is everything so elegant and i never see anyone wearing it apart from kim k where its a pair of tights moulded with a pointed black stiletto all in one piece looks young fresh and is very comfortable its minimal
The pointed toes is a great look Katherine - so many people are against them they slam them for damaging the toes but if they fit properly they are fine đ the look you mention is very leg lengthening đ but I would skip the skater skirt at my age đ
