At 67 years old there's very few things that amaze me anymore. This one gave me goose bumps, brought a tear to my eye. What a huge inspiration to anyone!
I've been quilting 40 years and it takes me a long time to do a quilt. Now I feel really inept. She is blessed. What a delightful Lady. I'm grinning ear to ear, with wonder in her.

Wow an inspiring story It reminds me of my Father who was blinded in ww2 in Normandy She makes me smile. My Father did not let his blindness stop him from to much . He gardened, cooked, did Electrical wiring, Ran a saw and never cut a finger. But a cottage with Knotty pine paneling. She is so much like him You go girl!!!!!!!!!! God Bless you!!!!!

Oh my goodness, what a lovely piece! I am a quilter and cannot imagine sightless quilting...one of my deepest fears is that I might lose my own sight. Thankyou Diane Rose for helping us all to see so much more clearly. Big hugs to you and that "Hunk 'a Lovin' Reporter Man".
I went to high school with Diane and she was amazing then as well. Never in a funk or bad mood, and just had a positive attitude about everything! I am so glad she's led a great life so far. I had often wondered how she was doing. You go get 'em, Diane!!

Ooooh my Lord !!!!!!! I'm a pretty tough cookie, here now...but this makes me weep in my coffee, this AM ! Thank you precious angle of God ! Our 32 year old daughter is legally blind and we all have to help her raise her 2 kids (8 & 13), She has been disabled already several years w/several back surgeries. But the diabetis is the rough one & a med she was using, ~~ Thanx again Lady Di
I got to meet this talented lady today and she is so greatful to be wher she is in her life and hr blindness is not a handicapp, its a strength. So sad there are people that think just because we are blind or crippled we are not a whole person, these challenges make us better people. She doesnt feel sorry for herself.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Diane last month. Getting to know her over the phone for months and then meeting her in person was uplifting. She is a breathe of fresh air. There is nothing fake about her. God is in her heart .
Her web site tells all about her and how to meet her. This video reminded me to stop complaining about what I can't do,like sew a straight line. We all have talents to share and be thankful for.

She's wonderful, Her outlook on life is beautiful. I'm not suprised she sews with Janome They are fantastic machines! Her quilts are delightful. She could come speak to quilting groups anytime.

Diane - you are an amazing woman and yes more of us need to get off the couch and give to others - and I agree - RMDsWifey - there are a bunch of us whoa is me my back hurts - for me it is my entire body but I still get up and sew each day - take care of my house - I like Diane wonder why the Lord gave me so much to deal with - but then I just get on with it... I applaud Diane she gives me inspiration.
Some people have 20/20 vision and still cannot see.
If only we had more people with vision like hers that See's from the heart.

Diane, You are my inspiration! Since age 7 I have needed glasses. Now, at 55, my right eye has no vision in the middle and my left eye is +19 correction. Already I've had to change careers from an accountant to a Realtor which doesn't have as much close-up work. I've often wondered how I could be useful and not just be a burden to my children if I go completely blind, which is a distinct possibility. . From your video, I believe that God will show me a way.
