Eden is first of all an Israeli and a Jewish, she only lived several years in Russia because of her parents, that's it.
After October 7th, we always say that how lucky we are that we have a strong army that protect us from the pure evil, and how sad are the ukrainian people that need to stand in the front of such "strong" and crazy country as Russia. I hope that the war between you and Russia will end soon 🙂

Eden is phenomenal!! The lyrics are sublimely meaningful and simple. I have watched this over a hundred times (no exaggeration). I actually listened to it in one day, alone, from morning to sun-down. How can a song and the singer evoke the same trembling traveling upwards from the spine accompanied by weeping. Are the angels weeping with me? Is this song divinely inspired? Eden's singing these lyrics alone transcends Eurovision. A Masterpiece!!

My company in Israel is huge and has ~ 5% Ukrainian employees in Ukraine and I have conference calls with them weekly...... we are in awe of them that they are able to work hard in the middle of this horrific war , sometimes with electricity outages! working full-time in tech/ AI. One Ukrainian man died in battle and the CEO sent company-wide email and the replies were endless sorrow from Ukrainians and Israelis. 🇮🇱 stand with you 1000%. Russians I know who visit their family in Russia say the country is entirely brainwashed.

Israel is facing indirect and direct threats from Russia too (they have millitary bases in bordering enemy state and they provide fire-arms to our enemys). Eden is not Russian, she is a Jew who was born in Israel, her father is from Latvia and her mother is from Ukraine, at the age of 6 she moved to Russia because of her father's business and returned to Israel. Isrtel stands by Ukraine,🙏 and the song is about the shocking massacre we went through on October 7th.
Yes, I know what the song is about, and I’m supporting Israel 100% But still, she violated Ukrainian laws and although she might be not Russian, she did performed in occupied Crimea from Russians side. So yeah, I like the song, but I don’t agree with her life choices.

Her father moved to Russia with the family as part of his work when Eden was 6 years old and they left Russia and returned to Israel when Russia invaded Ukraine. I would think that more than anyone else you would be able to identify with the pain and the meaning of the song! Just like Israel was thrown into a war, it did not choose and was attacked by a cruel enemy! I know about Eden. Sorry, I cannot think about her as Israeli after she performed on the stage for Russia for many years. Even if she was just a child. Thank you for your reaction Mila. But I really don't understand why as a Ukrainian you dislike Eden. Besides the fact that one of her parents is Ukrainian and living in Russia because of her father's job is not her fault. Eden also mentioned that it was hard for her to move there and that the Russian community never really accepted her. By the way; Eden and her parents moved back to Israel earlier than planned because they don't support the war started by Russia. So please, save all the bad feelings to people who deserve it and not to someone like Eden who is literally on the same side as yours.
