I have seen many of these with my girlfriends adult(21 year old) son. He is however totally Non-Verbal. The only way he communicates is with a "talker app" on an Ipad. Do you have any sort of help videos for this circumstance? I am so lost, and I haven't been the greatest help when it comes to him. I would like very much to be able to deal with this better. For the son, my gf, and me as well.

I'm glad you enjoy the videos, and no you didn't come too late. When I first started Autism Some Assembly Required I was new to the internet and social media from this side of the fence. I'd never made a CZcams video, or a webwebsite. I barely used Facebook and had never used Instagram. I knew I had a message to share, but wasn't sure how. In the past several months I've better defined where I want to go with all of this and how to get there. I'm currently adding a lot more content to AutismSomeAssemblyRequired.com and in a few weeks will begin creating more videos. I've learned that some content is best served in written format while some is better explained in video. Check out the website to see the latest, and expect new videos both on the site and here on CZcams soon! Thanks for inquiring!

I would be happy to make a video like that! I haven't posted a video in awhile, but am currently working on a few short videos as well as a couple of long ones. I'd hate for you to have to wait for specific information you're looking for. If you'd like, you can reach out to Bella and I through our Facebook page. We'd be happy to help you if we can.

One thing that has helped with my girlfriends son is recognizing the patterns of meltdown. Looking at when they happen most often, what triggered it, etc. We've noticed after an event with a lot of excitement, we have him take some down time before doing anything else. Teaching him how to express his emotions and to practice slow box breathing as soon as emotions start to take over.
