- First person look at the upcoming Escalade replacement in the sun at the Amelia Island Concours. It looks truckier and has a more imposing hoodline leading edge. More bluff, vertical element makes it feel extra gigantic. Cabin has cool cameras, speakers everywhere and nicely upgraded materials all over.
GM finally proves they can deliver a world class interior.

Love the video. Looks 10x better seeing it outside. So aggresive and sporty in a since yet super classy and elegant. Love all the subtle yet pronounced angles in the front and back lower bumpers. I really, really hope cadillac made at least 4 interior color options to choose from and that all the models can have the air suspension option, not just the platinum.
There's actually 8 interior color options.
Now this should be there flagship. It’s the only Cadillac to keep its name and the most iconic in my opinion and from what I’ve seen!
If only Cadillac put those type of interior details in the cars they would be selling more of them

I agree. I love the horizontal headlights too! They are so elegantly designed and executed very well. Looks great above the really large vertical signature DRL that catches the eye nicely. I love that they’re trying to differentiate the the further. The c-pillar on the Escalade is well thought out and allows for a slight squint in the third window which makes for a sleeker & sexier side profile which the Tahoe and Yukon doesn’t have. Although very subtle changes, Cadillac really knocked the attention to detail out of the park on this upgraded exterior. The interior is just mind blowing. Can’t wait to test drive one of these before the CT5 just for the experience alone.
UberX passengers will love this thing. I can't wait to get it for them, especially those that need the rides the most.
Do you really think uberx driver is going to afford 100 escalade and driving cheap uberx customers for $3 bucks

srthellcat707 them are the TCP drivers so yes,those are the 1s that complain ,i would get a black 1 on a lease ,put it on Uber and Lyft platform ,lyft platform u don’t need to be TCP to do black and also put it as Xl ..uber select and xl ,if u know the city u can make $$$

Shorting headlights wasn't a good move but overall looks great.
Personally I’m not a fan of the outer styling at all. previous models look much better, but when you go in the inside that’s amazing

I think pressure from Hyundai & Kia has finally made them realize they have to live up to the hype as far as quality & sophistication is concerned! Hyundai & Kia's interior are pretty impressive for the class they compete with! Really love the chrome accent design at the 2nd row window, it really breaks up the length & gives it more character! Great job Cadillac but don't stop now because competition from Lincoln is on the rise!!
geminiwilliams037 Cadillac is in another realm from Hyundai and Kia and if true sophistication and *quality* is what you’re looking for then neither Hyundai nor KIA would be at the top of your list. That’s a sea of cheap parts that have been rolled out for a surface beauty, not the same as true quality. So there’s no way Cadillac could feel any “pressure” coming from either of those brands which are below this company’s tier and level as it pertains to sophistication and quality since Cadillac trumps them both in that regard.
The pressure would’ve had to come from Genesis, Hyundai’s luxury brand but Cadillac probably isn’t concerned with that too much either.
I agree about the b-pillar. I love what they’ve done to break up the length and differentiate the Cadillac from the GMC and Chevrolet.
@@mybro727 Have you sat in a Kia K900 (hate the name) lately & honestly say Caddies interiors are miles ahead or in a Genesis G80, G90 or especially the new GV80 SUV they've just announced? That thing is awesome inside & out! For the price they're offering you get much better materials than say a Xts,Cts & even the New Ct6 for that matter! Don't get me wrong I love Cadillacs ( Especially the CTS-V & ATS-V which are now sadly discontinued) but for the price their asking it doesn't seem justified compared to others in that class! So when you cross shop one has to wonder why pay all that cash for a sub-par interior wihich shares swithgear with other GM products? They've finally stepped it up like I knew they could which is maybe at least 15yrs late! "Standard Of The World" could just be more than a slogan??
geminiwilliams037 The K900 is an exception, one that is even better built with better materials, and quality than most Genesis products... but if you take a look at the price of a fully loaded K900 your argument begins to fall apart. It’s not very cheap.
Where are the much better materials when you compare year model to year model?? The CT6 isn’t new, it’s been here since 2016. The new G80 can’t be compared to that old of a model which only received a slight refresh in 2019. The materials of a CTS are above that found in any Hyundai or KIA product. I don’t see alcantera, authentic carbon fiber, real open pore Wood’s, aluminum, magnesium paddle shifters, high quality semi-aniline perforated leather seating, etc. in any Hyundai or Kia products outside the ones whose price rivals a CTS, XTS, CT4, or CT5.
There’s also nothing wrong with sharing switchgear with other GM models. Hyundai, Kia, Genesis does the same exact thing. Cadillac is still worlds above Hyundai/KIA in build materials, craftsmanship, and quality.
The GV80 and new G80 are nice for the money, but not on this level. I do are with what you’re saying about Cadillac finally stepping it up. Idk about 15 years later tho!

@@mybro727 When Lincoln used the InTech V8 it was way more reliable than Cadillac with the Northstar, etc. But it's been over 15 years.

So basically it’s a proper luxury suv now and not some rebadged pickup truck? Impressive, for a Cadillac. If I was spending the money on a luxury suv though I would still choose Lexus or Range Rover all day. The Range Rover has been out since 2013 and I’d still say it has an edge over this in terms of design and quality. I don’t ever need three rows so that wouldn’t be an issue for me.

I mean it's a great update. But they forgot to put the heart and soul engine under the hood. 4.2L Blackwing V8 should have been the only engine in this truck. The 6.2L V8 is nice but no longer unique and who wants a diesel in a corporate SUV anyway?
