  • Southern California is one of the hottest and most competitive cycling communities in the United States. How many Saturday Shop rides have the following. A former yellow jersey winner from the Tour De France, Former Pro rider and a current CA Master's state champion all on one ride. The only way for a normal rider to keep pace with the group is to ride an E-bike. At the end of the video, I share a lot of the data of how hard I worked even riding an E bike. To be transparent I would never be able to ride with these spectacular athletes without the Specialized Creo. The group was great to ride with and in a lot of cases the Creo was over the 28-mph assistance level and keeping up was a challenge...

Hmm🧐 with limiter on the e-cycle, which is heavier due to motor and battery, you would drop quite fast behind on some sections. Maybe, over 28mph was not so frequent. I could easily carry on flat 30mph for some time with race cycle in my youth. 🤗

with this group speeds are over 28 mph quite often. Thanks for watching and commenting

its a great bike how would you do on a light racing bike instead?

I do ok but the group I ride with are national and state elite riders. They log 300-500 miles a week and I am a 150-200 mile a week rider. The E-bike makes it a better experience and gives me the ability to recover faster and ride the next day. If I ride my regular bike it is hard to ride at that level two days in a row.

You are going to love it. The Creo is such a versatile bike. I have a second set of wheels and use the bike for gravel also. The bike is very capable.

Subscribe to my channel as a lot of my videos are going to center around the Creo. I am going to do a test against the new Trek E-bike as one of my friends has one. My goal is to bring awareness to the E-bike and Acoustic bike world.

Did you override the 28 mph limiter? I only ride using manual settings. Limiter at 28 would get you dropped on most rides for me!

Yes when over 28 mph the motor is off and it is all my power. So there were some sections that I had to really work to keep up but luckily did not get dropped. Thanks for the comments and watching.

The bike not unlocked to go past the 28 mph limit.

@@thee-bikeandacousticrider well done! Definitely get the override. Motor still works no matter what speed. Otherwise hitting 28mph is like hitting a wall.

How much does it effect your battery range with the removal of the limiter?

Basically no info about bike at all. Stats at the end are unhelpful without some comparison. Music was annoying.

Thanks watching and the feedback. Videos etc. are new for me so learning. Hopefully the videos after this have been a little better. It is harder than it looks. 😀

Unhelpful demotivating feedback using condescending language. That's what we want....
