  • Daikon is the vegetable I really feel nostalgic about my growing years in Japan. My Grand-Ma used to thin the seedlings of Daikon and use them as veggies in the Miso soup. Pungent flavors of young daikon leaves was my favorite as a young age. Now, I really enjoy daikon leaves even long before the roots. The roots will be anticipated to be used in Shabu-Shabu dish.
