Ruby, I’m glad you mentioned about holding the Kindle Oasis and that it was easier than holding a book where you get hand cramps. This is one of the reasons I am looking at a Kindle, as my hands are small and struggle in bed to hold the book without it hurting my hands! I’m definitely going to save up for the Kindle Oasis. Great video, thank you 😊. I also got an oasis in the amazon prime day sale last year and I love it ❤. Favourite thing is the ergonomic shape and super light weight because my hand also used to cramp up holding heavier physical books and even the older kindle models. I'd definitely reiterate your point about storage, I got the 32GB model so I could store more audio books but found playing them on the kindle drains the battery too fast as you need to connect to headphones/speaker via Bluetooth. I now use my phone for audio books and kindle just for reading so the 8GB model would have been the best option.

Thanks for the video! I just received my oasis and I like it! I would recommend to anyone to visit an Amazon store and look at the oasis and the new paperwhite before purchasing! The build quality of the oasis is far superior to the pw, and hand positioning is more comfortable/ adjustable on the oasis. When I picked up the pw in my hand, it felt cheaply made with the plastic build. I still would not by even buy it, if the oasis were not available. The extra money for the oasis is worth it!
I upgraded to the Oasis this week (it's coming today!) mainly because I donate plasma twice a week, and needed something I could read with one hand! I can't wait to get it.
The 6.8 inch paperwhite is what I have and love it. Hopefully they will refresh the oasis and give it usb c.
Enjoyed your video. I also have an Oasis 3 and it is an excellent device. I do think it is great that the new Paperwhite has brought several of the great Oasis features down to a more affordable price. The Paperwhite is a my primary general e-reader recommendation. However the Oasis is still a more premium device. I use mine without the case and I really like how comfortable it is to read with one hand due to the weight being more concentrated at the hand. And then there is the excellent page buttons which I find preferable to touching the screen. Also the excellent build with aluminum and glass add to the pleasure of using the Oasis. I am hoping we see an Oasis 4 in a few months with USB C, wireless charging, and a few other goodies that will give us an excuse to get it.

I just bought mine today after deciding that my iPad was too heavy to read with and was giving me a headache with the screen. I really went back and forth between this one and the paper white. Before I got to the store I was pretty sure I was leaning towards the paper white due to the price difference. But once I felt the oasis I just knew it was the right one. I like the way it feels and the back of it looks more sleek and doesn’t show as much dirt/smudges. The buttons are definitely a plus too!

"Hand cramp" is real! I get it all the time on my paperwhite. Last night was my first reading session with my new Oasis - no hand cramp yet:)

Agree 100% with this video, but if buying a new kindle I think the new Paperwhite 2021 is a better deal overall.
Honesty I think you can't go wrong with a Kindle in general, but for me the Oasis is still my favorites

I bought the 32gb version, 10gb of audio books, 890 books and tons of manga series, I need the 32gb version and i don't want to add and remove things all the time.
If you have 1 manga comic book its at lest 100 to 200 mb so 8gb isn't that much.
I have the exact same case, I have some fraying on the edge and it’s slippery to hold. This is my least favorite case of all time
Good review, but now the best option is Kindle paperwhite 2021 and signature Edition, almost same screen (6,8 vs 7), Paperwhite now have usb-c, warm Light, fast processor, and infinite better battery.
Still no buttons on the new Paperwhite though.
@@xavierrethore3778 I dont like buttons, but if you want buttons kobo libra 2 is a cheap and better option.

Yeah I saw that a new paperwhite came out! I think it's great for those who love to read, but the Oasis is still great for the constant reader
