Camila Cabello Gives Opinion Of Fifth Harmony's "Down" In AWKWARD Interview

Although things didn’t quite end on a positive note, Camila makes it perfectly clear that she’s happy for the girls, and that’s all there is to it.
In what could’ve been a rather awkward response to whether or not Camila Cabello has heard Fifth Harmony’s first single “Down” since leaving the band, good news everyone: she handled the question like a total pro. During an interview with 92.3 AMP Radio this week, Camila was asked her opinion on the band’s new track, to which she seemed slightly taken off guard. Check it out:
So whether or not the question was actually approved by her reps is still up in the air, but thankfully Camila didn’t have a bad thing to say about them. The radio hosts then asked Camila if it felt weird not being in the song and hearing it without her added vocals… oh yeah, they went there.
She also spoke out about the way things ended up between the two parties after very public back-and-forth claims via social media surrounding her decision to part ways, to which she said QUOTE, “Obviously I wish it wouldn’t have been like that, because I just, you know, peace! But like I said, I wish them the best.”
And one of many reasons why Camila decided to split from the band likely had to do with the fact that she wasn’t able to pursue her own projects, like 2016’s collaboration of the year with Halsey and The Chainsmokers. Camila recently revealed that she originally recorded the demo of Halsey’s part, but that due to unfortunate circumstances, she had to turn it down.
It’s ok, the song only because the No. 1 song in the world for like 12 weeks straight… no big! BUT I’m sure Camila will work her magic come her album release in the fall, and judging off her two singles already released, she’s on her way to the top. actually it's been debunked that she was in an interview at that time. it was most likely her management. as for her fans, every fan base has petty fans. harmonizers can be just as petty as camilizers.

frankly i don't recall her liking anything extremely petty. i can't speak out about the whole Normani conflict since i wasn't on twitter at that time, but i do know that she tweeted out in defense of Normani. keep in mind that management does have control of all the girl's accounts and even if her mom did like that tweet, it could've been the slip of a finger. everyone does it. it just feels a bit harsh to go about accusing someone of something when we don't have the full story.

First of all, she's on a press junket, trying to make as many headlines as possible. The questions are approved in advance - she wanted to talk about 5H's new song (you know, the one she heard "a few snippets" of, but couldn't spare 2 minutes 44 seconds to hear the whole thing). You are right, There's "no need" for them her be commenting. There's also "no need" to discuss any of this: no need to hear her talk about her music, or her feelings, or her plans.

Camila seems to be a very mature young woman and I gave it a try and listened to the two songs she put out recently (I Have Questions and Crying In The Club) and both are extremely superior in quality when compared to everything that Fifth Harmony has put out (even when she was still a member). I feel like girl/boy groups/bands have this pressure put on them to release bubble gum pop, radio-friendly music to sell and top charts and sometimes that has nothing to do with what the girls want but with what the label wants for them, so, reading her body language and her "great" response to Fifth Harmony's Down, I believe she feels like it's just another mediocre pop record (and it is) that unfortunatelly doesn't do justice to the remaining members' beautiful voices.

I agree with you, Camila's songs, even Crying in the Club which some dismiss as a cheesy pop song has purpose in the context of her album which is essentially about how she overcame her anxiety/depression following some tough times in her life (constant touring, limited creative control in the group, and the disintegration of her relationship with her band mates). She describes her single as being a manifesto for her album and I totally see that and the best part is she wrote Questions and reworked parts of the demo she got of Crying and wrote the entire bridge. If you listen to the lyrics it makes total sense and isn't just another mediocre pop song, it has purpose and is hopeful and cathartic. I absolutely think the 4 remaining girls in 5H are capable of more than "Down" it is being overhyped by their fans who are afraid to admit it's not as good as their past material. I'm rooting for all 5 of the girls though and hope they have great careers.

Well to me Camila's answer to what her opinion about the girl's new song Down was honest and very well thought out in my opinion. I don't fully know why Camila left 5h, but I do know this: I am definitely NOT mad at her for doing so. Camila Cabello is her own person,with her own dreams,and her own opinions. If anyone chooses to be mad at her for leaving the group and leaving the girls then those people either have poor taste in judgement or just lack part of a good heart. Camila's new song Crying in the Club inspired me to be more open to myself, and to in certain situations keep my guard up because being in guard of yourself in one of the most important things/qualities any girl or woman can have. The first part of her song called Questions does the exact same inspirational things that Crying in the Club does for me. So my opinion im Camila Cabello is simple yet profound: she is inspirational,she is friendly, she is caring, she is kind hearted, she is amazing, she is beautiful, and she is many other beautifully descriptive things, but what she is to me and probably many others out there is this: she is someone who never gives up, she always brings everybody up, she loyal to her family,friends,and her fans, and she is one of the lights I have in the dark parts of my life,heart,and soul. I can see that she is trying but in every interview her body language gives her away. it is obvious that they don't speak to each other and I understand why the girls haven't spoken to her, if the same thing happened to me, I wouldn't have spoken to her either . I can't stand camila but I can see that she has matured, and she trys to be nice when speaking about them so I give her respect for that👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
idk why you wouldnt speak to her? it was clear for all of them that she wasnt happy in the band. group therapy wont work in that. they didnt get to write their own stuff. they always sexualised the girls in every video etc. and that clearly isnt camilas thing. the girl stuck around till the end of the contract and props to her for that. she didnt want it to go down like it did, its not her fault.
she respects the others girls and is okay to answer a few questions about them, while the group blacklisted camila questions (and clearly seemed to announce her departure on twitter before talking to her about it lol). talk about whos mature.

there are many shady moments by camila but one in particular is when normani was in an interview and they asked her about camila and she said she is corky and cute. camila fans took it as a diss. they bullied normani saying that she should been hanged and calling her a nigga and camila did not defend her she made it about herself. some mature person she is
anna All I am saying is I understand why she left but she has done things to the girls that her fans don't talk about , there is an interview where the interviewer asked her about normani and all she said was good for her, as if she doesnt know her or something. I don't think you have seen the reasons why she receives so much hate, that's why you don't see her as shady.
