My first boss out of college gave everyone a copy of who moved my cheese when some changes started happening. A few months later he’s moved out of state and a new team came in and found reasons to get rid of everyone one by one. (Years ago, not a creative industry).
The book reads like a silly ebook but I’d suggest reading it sooner than you think you need to.

THANK YOU! You've just put into words exactly how I'm thinking at the moment. This has been a really helpful video! Thank you x1000!

Great video! Could you please elaborate a bit on the skills part? What kinds of skills should one always be working on? Are these soft skills or on learning new software tools like Spline, Rive, ProtoPie, and others? I would greatly appreciate your input.

Technical and Soft skills BUT NOT software tools; unless you are a total beginner I wouldn't learn any software tools unless you have a problem that requires them; On the flipside 'soft' skills, emerging tech, deep tech understanding, etc. are all skills that you unavoidably must know to be effective, everything else is irrelevant.

How many employees, how long has it been around, what level are you coming in at, how are they funded?

@@gourdbox been around for 1yr . 3 employees but I would be the 1st Designer. They’re based out of Tennessee and already have an event delivery service app but the user flow is terrible and they’re in need of a UX designer to redesign it and also be ready for other projects they have in the pipeline

@@jacksonuxd keep asking around but greater than 1%, less than 10%? If it was starting from scratch with partners it would be greater but you’re coming in after they have the ball rolling. Yet- still very early and potential to be a major reason things can get profitable. Seriously though plz ask more people.
